I had very bad experience of Hitachi Refrigerator.


Compressor, Colling coil(Made from Aluminium and not copper – Its Hitachi) and capillary tube has malfunctioned within 3 yrs of manufacturing. I have paid good amount to replace the stuff.


They are giving 10 yrs on warranty on Compressor but not a single compressor was in stock in Ahmedabad ware house. – They have millions of refrigerators population in A’bad. It took 15 days to replace compressor. On next day the problem has not solved.


Worst Franchisee people: No one lift up calls even after several tries. Forget about call back.


3 times same technician came for Gas recharging. – No one from the management has a courtesy to look into the matter.


Today 41days has been passed my complaint is the same and no one from the Hitachi company is giving answer.


How can a family live without refrigerator?


Being an after sales service personnel I request you all that please don’t buy HITACHI products, you will be in trouble once it is failed.


Spend your hard earned money in other trusted brand and set yourself free.

I bought Hitachi Refrigerator Model no. R-B570PND7 on 16th Oct 2018 from Vijay Sales Rohini. within period of six months from purchase the fridge stopped cooling and making lot of noise. I have registered complains 7 times, either they sending some Mechanic with no experience or closing the complains by their own. it is really sad from my point of view, as after spending 60, 000 it is useless

Hitachi doesn't even seem to have any Customer Service center of their own even in a city like Mumbai. They have a set of completely useless dealers who have no clue how to repair the Refrigerator. One of their main dealers is Noble Aircon which employs a bunch of uncivilised rude people. They don't responds for days. When their person finally arrived he keept calling other people to discuss the problem with our Fridge as he obviously had no idea what was wrong. Then he said that some part had to be replaced so he would come back with it. Then they said that the part was not available and that they would have to order it. It has now been 12 days and they have not yet come to repair our Fridge with this part! In Mumbai City! Are we moving in some village with only Bullock Cart access that it would take 12 days for a part to arrive? On to of that their service engineers don't even have the decency to speak with you respectfully and keep discounting you call while you are still speaking.


I would strongly suggest that no one should buy a Hitachi Fridge as their customer Service sucks big time!

This refrigerator is technically not strong built in terms of daily use.


the main problem is with its door. it is very heavy and the material used is pvc/plastic type. when u load this door with bottles etc within a year the hinges of the bottom cracks causing the door to be hanged. it causes faulty alignment of the door and cooling problems due to air trap. u have to get the door repaired in Indian language the repair is a JUGAD to keep your fridge working anyhow. because u cant affored 70 to 80 thousand of your money to be wasted. so avoid this fridge, though it is very attractive lookwise. Every summer has a story.


Every summer this refrigerator is going to cost you Rs.12500 .Though I bought it for 65000 ,


it has already cost me 90 -95k.


There are two stickers on it highlighting its so called special features.10 YEARS WARRANTY and also STABILIZER FREE. BUT IT IS NOT.


And this is third time that its PCB is damaged. and the company holds no responsibility for it.This PCB costs 12500.


And there is no guarantee also once it is replaced.


Why do they claim their product to be so or they dont know about Indian power supply system.????


I feel cheated and will never recommend this product.

I bought the Refrigerator in 2014, I was really attracted to its colour, concept and Smoothness of chanels...Fee days ago, It stopped cooling, I registered my compliant and the service guy took away the motherboard.. 2 days after fitted the same and charged me 8750+350 visitting charge... Very next day, it again stopped functioning.... I am calling to the service centre as well as the guy who came here.... NO ONE IS REPLYING MY CALLS, as thus service is unser 6 month guaranty... The service guy seems not interested at all... Mg question to HITACHI..is are not they resonsible for the service centres services... coz eventually its their product ... ???

service poor . staff polite but wont admit to their product being faulty, . dissappointing . all hitachi refrigerators I think will have issues as cant deal with indian summer . and they keep saying pl dont open the door tooo much!

I bought this refrigerator in one month ago firstly its performance is best and its cooling is also good but after few days its performance is less in high voltage light. Its compresser give very badly noise and sound. There door is very loose and not pack properly. Its freezing temperature is not good. There disign and style is likely good. Its services is not so good. There services and support too delayed not best services.


This is last but not a least so I can say that this product is not good.

Recently few week back my mother brought this appliance and it's so helpfull to us that we can store previous day food. And it's make vegetables, drink , fruits too fresh that any time we can use it and during this summer days it's very necessary to have this kind of electric appliance so that there will be no waste age of food and meal. Many of my family relative are using Hitachi electric appliance and refrigerator this is very good product and anyone can take full advantage of this refrigerator in a possible ways. And I love this product.

Today 12th March 2019. We bought this refrigerator in Feb 2014 from Radhika Sales Pune assuming we will get the Japanese quality paid almost 42000+ however we experience a poor & pathetic performance I really unsatisfied with the quality and service of the Product, from first year and NO hope of any improvement but to scrap the product in near future. Specifically in Summer almost last 4 years every year in March / Apr / May we face this issue of complete breakdown of refrigerator with no cooling. They have changed parts worth Rs. 10000+ but no improvement problem repeats and we have been spending lot of time and money on it every year and buying frustrations. this Product is not meant for Indian weathers at all. The product is complete failure and on top of it poor service they do not attend you for days after complain and create some excuses. The service app is so pathetic you can try looking at it, they allow you only 50 characters to write comment. completely insensitive to customers pain. I recommend all the new consumers to stay away from Hitachi as brand. They have really spoiled the good image of Japanese Quality which Japan is known for.

We bought the refrigerator last year and the whole year we have had trouble...constant repairs and no redressal...requested an immediate replacement as I refuse to go through another summer with this bad quality piece ..waiting for Hitachi response..

Right after purchase we realized the refrigerator is of poor quality in all respect. Refrigerator was replaced within 3 months after purchase, however the new one has same poor cooling issue. Several reminders to Customer Care citing issue with manufacturer was of no use. Service Engineer doesn't share service report to avoid customer query.


Similar is my experience with HITACHI AIR CONDITIONER.

Already company has changed first refrigerator with in 2 months of purchase, and second one has also stopped working today. Never buy hitachi

Nearly two month before i purchase a hitachi refrigerator from delhi in amount of eighty thousand . But now i am very disappointed becouse i have done a big mistake by purchasing this refrigerator becouse this refrigerator is enable to fulfill my necessary needs. It takes very more electricity . It is very expensive also with respect to its work. It does not do its work properly. Its rate of freezing is also slow. So i think that i waste my money to purchasing hitachi refrigerator. Now i shall recomend you not to purchase hitachi refrigerator becouse it is not good for domestic use.

Bought this 730 lit high end refrigerator couple of years back at 1.10 lacs from Kohinoor .


They make a big marketing promise of freezer down .


after 6 months , door alignment went wrong with noise. Technician came and corrected.


After two years usage , R swing which act as a lock got broken which is on upper side of the door.


Its not possible for anyone to climb up the door and break that part but surprisingly it broke because of poor quality of plastic.


Part has still not being organised by Hitachi. They changed contact numbers but didnt inform customers.


Its a third class company to deal with.

CHEATING BY HITACHI( REFRIGERATOR DIVISION) SERVICE STAFF


We filed a complaint on the 21st of October at Hitachi Service Number 9811320394. Earlier we tried to connect up with Hitachi Dial a -care number 07930414747 but could not get it. However the number got transferred to a person who assured us that he is the right person and since Toll free number is out of order hence all customer complaints are now routed to him.


He visited us the same day and after inspection told us that the fan unit is faulty for which he shall again come the same day for rectification.


He visited the same day during evening and did some work and assured that everything is working fine and gave us an invoice for Rs 5850/ - against which we paid in cash the same day i.e on 21st of October 2018.


After 2 days we found out no significant improvement in cooling and tried to contact him( Shavez). He told us that the sensor has to be replaced for which he shall come and do the needful.


On 28th Oct, I called up at the number mentioned in the Invoice( 011/28335539 - 8802343357, Repair Services India, T 67A, Vishnu Garden, New Delhi) The person asked for the mobile number of Technician and after verification told us that they cant do anything and the Technician has left.


We again called up the previous number 9811320394( Mr Avinash) who said that he shall enquire the matter with the Technician and will soon get back to us.


I again called him and he gave us the Technicians mobile numbers - 7991258169 / 9354769879 / 8810554279. We tried to get in touch with him but then he blocked our numbers.


Again we connected with Mr Avinash( now Avinash number was 8800338472) and Avinash got us connected with the Technician on a conference call. The Technician assured that he will come the same day i.e 30th October and the issue will be resolved.


He again called my wife in evening to tell her that he shall resolve the issue by 31st evening or return the entire money.


No one came. Now we are trying all their numbers and no one is picking the numbers. Even Mr Avinash is now not picking the numbers since all of them are hand in gloves with Shavvez the culprit.


Things are rotting in the fridge and we are both working.


Its a shame for a company like Hitachi to work like this and in such a irresponsible fashion.


Unfortunately apart owning a refrigerator of this company, we have 3 air conditioners of the same brand.


Shame on you - Hitachi and your Brand and the Service Staff.

I have had this appliance for about five years now . It’s all rosy when you buy it; you will be told that this refrigerator is a technological marvel & what not. Well sadly, the only thing you marvel about it after buying it is that how many times can a refrigerator malfunction. Add to that lazy & incompetent customer service & voila, you have discovered the recipe to constant headaches. The licensed servicer guy literally blasted off the back wall of my freezer compartment while working on the fridge (photo attached below), sharp fragments of plastic & glass blew all over my kitchen. I mean this encounter seriously jeopardized the safety of my family members to say the least. And as expected, they are blaming it on the refrigerator ( their own appliance lol) & want me to cough up more money to repair this. In short, if you want peace of mind, I only have 3 words to say : AVOID AVOID AVOID!


This fridge deserves zero stars and the service a minus one


DEFECTIVE PRODUCT, INCOMPETENT CUSTOMER SERVICE

We brought a Hitachi Frost Free 404 L Triple Door Refrigerator(R-SG38FPND) in october 22nd 2017 from shop no 230 TGIP noida, the piece was defective from the beginning and we started our complains from feb onward. the cooling initially was not working and then they replaced the PCV or some unit and then it started over freezing, after 6 visits by numerous technician who have done everything that they could, the piece is still not working properly


hitachi has a very incompetent and ineffective customer care services who only line is to send more technician, not tell me if a defective product cannot be resolved within 6 visits in which they have replaced every possible unit, what should be the response of the customer care/ manager at hitachi, they should replace the defective piece but no, they keep on saying give us one more chance. every time they come, we have to empty the fridge and it takes 2-3 hours to do the repairs and everytime they repair something else goes haywire


they keep on asking for sending technicians without any assurance, after 6 times I am tired, I want a wrtitten assurance that they will fix the fridge or return my money or replace the fridge .if they have any decency they should do that


so help me escalate the matter and replace the fridge … or give it writing that you will not and I shall consider legal action
