On 20.11.2024 bought a 10L Hidware atlantic amelio geyser from Raipur Electronics, Barasat, West Bengal. Sales person assured me that the product will be installed with in 48 hours.
No one communicated in 48 hrs. Then I called the sales person and informed him about that. He again assured me that the installation will be done by the next day.
Again no one called me even after 72 hours. I called the sales person again and asked to give me the phone number of someone of Hindware company. He gave me a number and I made a call on that number. One gentleman picked up the call and said he is not from the service department of the company but he made a conference call with some lady of service department.
The lady then connected the call with local service centre. The man from local service centre tried to point that they called me earlier and I informed them that the installation was already done. Off course, that was untrue. After a couple of minutes conversation the man said he was sending service engineer for installation.
In the evening of 23.11.2024, at about 6 pm two young amateur boys came and opened the sealed box and informed me that the clamp for hanging and the valve for cold water flow are missing in the box. He called the lady from service department of hindware, I mentioned earlier, and informed her about the missing components. The lady asked them to leave the place and she would talk about the matter on 25.11.2024, since the next day was a holiday.
In horns of a dilemma situation, I called the salesperson and let him know the situation. He asked me to come over to the store and to meet him. When I met him, he handed a clamp(which was later proven to be a misfit for my model) over to me.
Since I had some urgent jobs next week, I requested the service engineers to install the geyser on next day, on which they agreed upon.
On the next day(i.e. 24.11.2024 sunday) morning the service engineers came and installed the geyser. I had to buy the valve for cold water pipe from them.
Later, when the engineers left, I noticed water was dripping from the cold water pipe.
With utter frustration, I called up a local plumber for fixing the same. He came and replaced the pipe since it was cracked during installation.
This was the worst installation experience I have ever had with any product. However, the geyser is working fine till now.
Don't know what will happen if I ever need a service from Hindware within warranty period.
Perhaps, Hindware has disabled writing google reviews.
