I am Rupali Jain, holding a car insurance policy with HDFC Ergo. My policy number is 2302205961112800000, and my vehicle is a Wagon R with registration number DL9CAR0895. I am writing to formally raise a complaint regarding the handling of my recent insurance claim.
My car met with an accident, sustaining significant front-end damage. Following the incident, I submitted my vehicle to Mayapuri DD Motor Bodyshop on Monday(09.12.2024) for necessary repairs. Upon follow-up, I learned that Mr. Trilok, the assigned surveyor(contact number: 730451xxxx), indicated that my claim would not be fully approved, specifically mentioning that expenses for the radiator and condenser would not be covered.
This response is both surprising and disappointing, given that my insurance policy is zero depreciation with bumper-to-bumper coverage. As a responsible policyholder, I have fulfilled all policy obligations and expect comprehensive coverage as promised. The entire purpose of having insurance is to be financially protected during such unforeseen incidents.
Denying parts of my legitimate claim seems unjustified and goes against the terms outlined in my policy. If this issue is not resolved promptly and fairly, I will be compelled to escalate the matter through legal channels, including lodging a formal complaint with the insurance regulatory authority. Additionally, I will share my experience on social media platforms to inform other policyholders.
