Guwahati Medical College, Guwahati

Guwahati Medical college is one of the premier institution of this part of the North Eastern Region. I personally visited several times, my personal experience not bad, though it will be still required to do more in a scence to AIIMS standard, though all department has been trying to upgrade with modern facilities. The road towards to college is really too beautiful ever any medical college in India is situated as it is in hill top of Narakashura hill, near TV tower. Professors and staff are all good. But in terms of college Hospitals there are many more lack behind to any other attached hospitals of any other medical college Hospitals. Also it is vividly seen overall management of the Hospital is quite lack behind I'm terms of private Hospitals of this region( may be due to government) . In Doctors concern, sometimes patiens have to be waiting for nearly an hour, though it's mandatory for preference of the que, sometimes Doctors are quite busy with the medical representatives, in case of nurse, some nurses behaviour is not so good, housekeeping is also somehow poor. Infrastructure is quite good enough, many renovation works were done or some few parts are still going on. Overall according to my opinion Guwahati Medical College is still standing their own proud. Since many renowuned world class Doctors were produced by this premier institution.

Guwahati medical college is one of the most knowleagewell and growth to big future college.I know guwahati medical college is one of the good medical college in assam.Guwahati medical college stand at Guwahati, bhangagarh.Many people come to GMC and give their education and growth their good future.

Hi,

I am Vijay Chandra. Today, on 10th Sept, 2013, I went to Guwahati medical college eye department for my fathers checkup. After struggle of 4 hours I reached to PMT department and that stupid dumb doctor or technician don't know gave my case papers to some Binda Devi and lost my fathers case paper.

He was least bothered to even sorry and telling us, "it happens". So, just imagine how careless irresponsible people are running Guwahati medical college who sales death. At end we came home with no case paper& everything in vain.

So I don't know what they must be doing with other patient. Health minister of Assam is sleeping and Tarun Gogoi is busy in other stuff. I really feel like leaving Guwahati forever as everything is corrupt and unorganized over here........
