I had visited gold gym Powai for membership and PT. Had heard mixed reviews on PT so I wanted to experience same for 1 month before committing for long term. Had checked rates and plans on Fitternity which did allowed 1 moth of membership and one month of PT.
On visiting the gym staff(Sushma) at the reception told me following:
1 month PT is not available.
Not to pay to fitternity as trainers do get paid adequately if I pay through Fitternity and hence I will not get "Good Service".
I really got pissed off on the statements and decided to escalate the matter as weather I pay directly or through any channel partner there should not be any compromise in service provided. I spoke to Mr. Pravin(Manager) and about how customers are being misguided and also forced to pay directly inspite of channel partners offering cheaper prices and products which are not directly offered by gym.
The instance highlighted reason for me to not join the gym. However, Sushma did call me up again saying that she was new(actually shes working since 1 year) and she will ensure that I get best of attention and offered me free trail.
While my first impression was not very great, on receiving a call from gym I thought let me make one more attempt and try out as the staff really seemed apologetic. It seemed to be a mutual need as I wanted to join a good gym with a PT and staff assured that I should take trail and she would assure good services being offered.
So as discussed with the staff I went for GYM+ PT trail. Met the head trainer who assigned a trainer for my trial. I would say the session was "Satisfactory" and I asked the trainer if he can continue with me if I join. While first he said "yes" and on communicating more he said he has one more uncle who comes in the slot I have asked and he would have to manage both, but tried to convince me that mostly the uncle doesn't come very often. I was sure that I was not OK for this kind of adjustment and post session I informed that staff that while I was ok to join the gym please ensure that I get uninterrupted attention and time from trainer for which gold gym is charging a decent amount.
I was assured by HEAD trainer and the staff of gold gym that things would be taken care to my satisfaction.
So, basis this I was very clear with the staff(Sushma) that I would be starting my gym membership for 1 month initially with PT and payment will be made through Fitternity, While she insisted on taking membership for 3 months I always wanted to check the services of GOLD gym for a month before committing for long term.
Basis all the things listed above, I made payment for 1 month membership and 1 month PT through Fitternity.
Post making the payment I was following up continuously with Sushma for assigning the trainer. However, this is what the response I got from the her on whats app.
Sir,
I hv checked with our management about 1 mth PT price. We don't offer 1 mth pt at Rs 9787 anyhow.
We hv also tried to talk to fitternity person Mr. MIT to do not miss guide customers. But he has not yet respond. Pls talk to him for pricing he offered to you.
Frankly Gold gym was aware that I was going to make the payment. They like me are also privy to prices prevaling on Fitternity. Why were things not highlighted before making the payment.
Aslo, whatever difference you have with Fitternity, why should customer interfere and talk to Fitternity for resolution.
Once I have made the payment should gold gym not hounour its committment.?
