Godrej 300 Lts Ultra Magic Refrigerator

I purchased 6 months back and still I am struggling with problems of my Godrej Refrigerator. Its product quality is very poor interior doors broken all ready I  lost my freezer part door and support from Godrej is like a cheating customer.

Product also a flop one so don go for its advertisements. Attaching my new refrigerator broken parts picture.

This stupid fridge  is like a punishment for us. As soon as a month passed, the damage and power consumption  increased and the fridge started making noise,

Godrej says its  5 star rated but its eating more that that.

I have been using this refrigerator for more than 5 years and it working working absolutely fine.

In 5 years, just faced very little problems, but customer service is not that much good. I requested the service center for some issue, and I had to wait for some 2 weeks to get the issue fixed.

Apart from that everything is good.

Comes within budget but doesn't have any sixth sense and all.Cooling is good, and consumes less energy also. Need to use extra voltage stabilizer as inbuild stabilizer is not there.

I would recommed this refrigerator to others.

We have purchased this stupid fridge around 3 years back and this is like a punishment for us.

As soon as a year passed, the cooling stopped and the fridge started making noise, when we called up the customer care they informed that the warranty period is over and the service is chargeable.

We fought to the top level, written mails but nothing happened, left with no other option we had to pay for repair charges.

After 6 months again there was a problem and we had to again call a technician which was of course chargeable. Now planning to get rid of this fridge.

Surprisingly the customer care people and the top authorities don't even bother to reply to mails or to solve the problem. If you are leading a peaceful life and want to disturb your life a bit go for this fridge.

I have purchased Godrej Eon Fridge in 2012 May, For one year fridge is working fine after that problem started. The fridge door is not working fine I have raised complaint with godrej people and they sent a technician.

He told due to heavy heating sides of the fridge, the  magnetic rubber of the door is not working so door is not working fine due to this and he changed the magnetic rubber he charged me around 500 RS+tax and left. Again after six months the problem is started, so in 3 years I have spent 3000 RS for the door for every 5 to 6 months I need to change the door magnet. I strongly recommend people who is buying this fridge please don't buy this stupid fridge.

Not only 3000 RS you will lose all your stuff which is in fridge.

I have been using godrej pentacool refrigerator at home since 3 years, and I am very sattisfied with the product.

its key features are its toughened glass shelves, humidity controller which controls the moisture content inside the refrigerator, high efficiency compressor.

it Lets you regulate the temperature without opening the door, thus saving on power consumption. It also allows more storage space inside the refrigerator.

its a5 star  rating so it consumes less electricity.

it gives 5 Year Compressor Warranty and 1 Year Warranty on Refrigerator.

it has huge place to keep you vegetables and fruits dry, even vegetables like potato and onion stay dry here.

I am happy with this product and I hope it serves me exactly the way its serving me now in future.

I just purchased a Godrej Pentacool refrigerator last week for my home in Bangalore. It is a 5 star rating product, so it consumes very less electricity, cools faster. It made the water into ice in just 30 minutes of starting on the first day and then onwards it needed less than 30 minutes.

Godrej gives nice warranty on compressor, for 5 years. So u need not worry. Godrej products are there to last even longer than that without requiring service. It has proper space for holding water bottles, keeping small products like eggs and spices, huge storing space for vegetables and enough room for other use.

I recently bought Godrej Pentacool V5 GDP V5 195 DLX Ivy Refrigerator(181L:5 Star) at Rs 16500, and I am very satisfied with the product. It has great features including:

We have been using a Godrej 300 litre refrigerator for the past 10 years and it has been giving us numerous problems. The compressor conked off within 3 years...the light always keeps getting fused so we gave up changing it...the shelves are not strong and keep breaking, water leaks from below on defrost....the bottom body caught rust and the door is tilted now.

When I compare this to my older GE fridge which we used for 15 years without any problems, I wonder where the quality focus of Godrej has dissapeared??? Even the design leaves a lot to be desired as the bottle racks dont fit ant large size bottles and the shelves dont have enough height between them since it has a lower and higher depth design.

You really have to struggle to take out something from the second and third shelves as you have to bend really low. I would STRONGLY recommend against purchasing any Godrej product...I know a friend who is having problems with his Godrej AC....I am in process of changing this crappy Godrej Fridge and have settled on a Hitachi Frost Free....

It is a good product.I can Keep vegetables and food items fresh in this refrigerator.the temperature inside the refrigerator is low which keeps germs at bay. It is very specious and has a separate compartments storing different things.

It also has Silver Shower Technology and StayCool Technology which makes the refrigerator more advance.it has different temperature settings according to our convenience. It even has different storage spaces for vegetables, bottles, eggs.

It also has a wonderful feature of making ice very quickly.it has Aroma Lock system and it uses Nutra Lamp.it is a double door refrigerator with an h good design that can add kitchen look charming. It is sturdy and durable.even I will like to share about godrej company.

Godrej is one of the trusted brand and products has economical and efffective price.

I am using Godrej Eon for the last 4 years but last year I have faced some problems.

Last year, in my refrigerators noise and water is leakage.I called customer care they send technician and same timer problem.

Replacement cost me Rs 900.And also today having problem like refrigerators is not getting cool and this technician say two parts are need to replace and cost is Rs 1200.

I bought two godrej eon refrigerators in the space of 2 months and both had cooling problems exactly after 1 year. and call centre people said it is out of warranty and I have to pay all the charges for the defect.

So my sincere advise is dont buy this refrigerator and feel cheated like me. I was so frustrated that I created this id and posted immediately

Godrej Eon is another scam that everybody should be aware of. They guarantee you the service within 1 year because they know the refrigeration will have a problem. Its a well planned scam with the intention of making money and fooling people.

Here is a tip I would suggest:

When the repair guy comes and checks for faults, stay right in front of him all the time. He will ask you to go and bring something so that he can replace some parts of the fridge with old ones. Call such service guys when all the members of the family will be available in the home. Stay right in front of him while the repair is going on.

The usual problem with the refrigerator is the noise and the timer below the fridge. One of the worst products of Godrej. If Aamir khan comes to know abouth these reviews I am sure he will not give any advertisement for Godrej anymore!

I would like you start by saying 1 have 2 godrej cupboards bought in october 1989

no complain in 25 years

I have a 390  liter fridge bought in may 2004

absolutely no problems in 10 years

Godrej and my family seem to have  a happy relation which goes more than  35 long years at least.

we have a typewriter that my granpa bought probably sometime in the 1930s

we have got atleast 25 nav-tal locks with absoultely no problems

so when it came to buying a new fridge for my new flat I knew exactly which brand to trust.

I bought a eon 240 L from snehanjali in mira road on 6th april 2014

it is very spacious and thoughtfully designed inside and outside

no matter how much stuff you put in it  still seem to have space for more stuff

we absolutely love the transparency of the design it makes it easy to look for something you stuffed in the fridge ages ago

for those who are reading this review I would highly recommend Godrej

the only thing I would like to advice my readers is this.

don't buy red color buy only grey color

both my 390 L and my 240 L are grey color

the reason is that almost all their model are available in both colors but they charge 3000 to 5000 more for red color than same model in grey color.

I don't know what to rate for service and support as I never had any problems

F*all products and services. Always avoid.  Product is average,  parts  and services are very expensive.  DON'T EVER FALL INTO THEIR TRAP OF EXTENDED WARRANTY FROM GODREJ.  They are the biggest cheaters.

While selling the warranty they mention everything is covered,  you don't need to pay anything for any issues while in this extended warranty. With the very first issue of squeaking noise from the washing machine, the service advisor arrived  and threw the bomb "Sir plastic and rubber parts are not covered,  you gotta pay Rs. 575/-"  height  of it was they asked for service/visiting charges also, that was supposed to be free in the service contract. Go for Samsung, video con, LG.  NO GODREJ. GODREJ= CHOR.

Godrej is good I have been using it for the last 4 years, but service sucks to the core.

My refrigerator stopped working. After launching the complain they said someone will be there within 24 hours.

For 3 days no one even called, when I called them back the reply I got from the technician was shocking. "I will come when I feel like coming. Don't call here "Wow I told him no need to come, just went and exchanged the refrigerator with LG."

I have purchased Godrej Eon from my hard-earned money for long term purpose. But after 1 yr of use it become a headache for me. 1st problem started with defrost issue. Technician came & changed the timer and one other required part. Note: Its written that this refrigerator has stabilizer free operation but the same technician recommend us to buy stabilizer to avoid the previous issue again.

I did the same. But once problem has started it has been continued since then and every time technician come use to change some part and every time extra money has to be paid .i.e. service charge+ part purchase .

Technician never gives specific time to come. Whenever called reply we received I am coming for each complaint I need to waste at least 3 days at home. Coz we never know when he will reach. It increases my frustration and my temper too.

After using this brand its difficult to believe in Godrej brand. I have got two refrigerators at my home (native), we are using it from past 10 yrs. Still we have not faced any problem till now. Both are working awesome. After paying so much money if durability is not there, then better we should either switch off the brand to try other brand risk or to take a Cheap local product for use & throw purpose which is not possible for these expensive items.

I don't trust Godrej product hereafter because I purchased a Godrej Edge Direct cool Refrigerator from Vasanth & Co Electronics-Trichy in 3/3/2011, bill no- 21010000055677. After purchasing it works fine for 2.5years without any Problem. Then it started giving cooling problem, I bear it for 5 or 6 months. Then it finally stopped cooling at all in 2013. I registered a complaint at Godrej for the same. Their technician visits my home and said that it needed replace compressor & freezer.

He charged me RS 2710 for the same after that my Fridge started working normally. They suggest me to buy Godrej Voltz Stabilizer so I bought it for Refrigerator at the cost of RS 2300. Nevertheless, the cooling problem started after 6 months of service (my nightmare started the same cooling problem appeared). I raised a complaint at their service center and their Technician came again and Replaced Thermostat, etc… and charged me another RS 1565. So except refrigerator door I changed everything.

Up till today, I have spent RS 7000 for worth of RS 1200 Godrej Edge Direct cool Refrigerator within 3 years. What a fantastic company product I am having. However, I want to tell all my friends to never ever think to purchase any Godrej appliance otherwise you caught on the same situation as am Today. Date Bill no Amount .  Particulars:

Please do not buy any Godrej product as their service is far from being desirable. I have a Godrej frost free 200 litre double door refrigerator which is not functioning after 7 years. I had lodged a complaint with Godrej customer care on 28th March, the complaint no being 2803489196. However no technician turned up to repair it so far. They shared a number of the technician but he did not even lift the phone.

I purchased a Godrej Edge Fridge from Sargam Electronics Paschim Vihar in February 2011. After purchasing it works fine for 4 month. Then it started giving cooling problem, I bear it for 5 or 6 months. Then it finally stopped cooling at all in 2012. I registered a complain at Godrej for the same. Their technician visits my home and said that it needed to refill the Gas in compressor. He charged me RS 1200 for the same after that my Fridge started working normally. Nevertheless, the cooling problem started again in 2013. I placed a complain at their service center their technician came again and repeated the same procedure and charged me another RS 1200. My fridge started coiling again for few months.

Then here chilling cold started in Delhi, and I put off my Fridge during this period.  Putting it on again after a couple of Months in 2014 my nightmare started the same cooling problem appeared with a loud buzzing sound from the compressor. Today on Feb 19th I registered a complain to their service center in hope to find some concrete solution this time.

However, I want to tell all my friends to never ever think to purchase any Godrej appliance otherwise you caught on the same situation as am today .

I planned to buy a fridge on 30th December 2013 and there was a offer from reliance energy for Godrej fridges for up to 40% discount on exchange for your old fridge.

So I booked the godrej 343 litre. when the delivery was made on 1st January 2014 the fridge arrived in damaged condition. the delivery person had another fridge of same model but that also had a problem; that whenever the fridge door was opened the whole fridge would shake.

Then the sales person assured that we would get a new fridge. when we called up two days later they said they will give a 3 star fridge since there is some regulation from government not to sell 5 star rated fridges after 1st Jan 2014. I was shocked to hear this. Good that I paid only 1000 in cash as advance and the rest was after delivery. I recommend not to buy any product from Godrej as their service is not good like before.

Old is not Gold for Godrej.
