GLOBUS—pretty attractive name, huh? Well, if u have visited bandra recently, I’m sure the newly opened shopping center next to Elco market has caught your attention. If not, then u must have surely seen its advertisement in the paper. Technically speaking, the structure is just superb! There are 3 floors of shopping with a lovely fountain & 2 capsule lifts. The car parking is underground as well as on the top floors for which u use the car lift. Now lets go inside. Well, frankly speaking, I was pretty disappointed with the variety of clothes that I saw.
The ground floor is for women’s & men’s casual wear with prices ranging from 300 onwards, though I’m sure they are bound to increase later on.
The 2nd floor is of women’s Indian wear that I did not wander into.
The 3rd floor is men’s wear but the prices of the shirts are way too high starting from around 700-800.Another problem is that the clothes were not well arranged, they were folded and stacked. Hence it so happened that in order to remove the last t-shirt I had to upset the whole pile, & people were just keeping the clothes back in a crumpled form.
Hence where there was a neatly stacked pile at first, there was now a mountain of clothes all mixed up! I think that in this century where the trend is to have a wholesome shopping center which caters to all your needs of clothes, shoes, cosmetics etc, globus does stand to lose a bit.
