Dear Sir
Consumer Complaint Cooking Range CR450*
This is in
continuation of my earlier letter(dated 28 Nov 2006) in which I had
pointed out the difficulties we had experienced with the range shortly
after purchase. Details of the technician’s visits in Jan 2004/ Nov
2004/ May 2006 were also given. I have not received any written acknowledgement
regarding my complaints. The service technician did visit on 12 Dec
06 and did some perfunctory repairs. I gave him my written report saying
the repairs had not been done satisfactorily.
Mrs Aruna Chatterjee
highlighted the deficiencies in the quality of materials, performance,
customer service standards in her emails in April 2007. Your response
was merely to reiterate that the equipment is out of warranty!
Currently,
the old problems continue:
The
burner gas flow is poor and the ignition system is inoperative on three
burners
The
burner guard rings are corroded and require replacement
The
glass cover needs to be renewed
I would like
to emphasise that most of the problems are owing to poor design, use
of substandard materials of construction and hence these are inherent
deficiencies in the equipment sold by you. Our complaints were well
within the warranty period – you had perhaps deliberately and willfully
decided to ignore the complaints made during the warranty period in
order to avoid replacements.
Please treat
this as a formal customer complaint about deficiencies in design, performance
and materials of construction, including safety hazards. I would welcome
a quick resolution of the problems and look forward to a letter from
your Office. If this does not result in satisfactory performance of
the cooking range, I shall be obliged to seek alternative remedial courses
of action.
I would like to draw your kind attention to the pending complaint
- the current status is given in the attachment dated 10 May 07. The
earlier letter dated 28 Nov 06 in which the warranty period complaints
were highlighted is also appended for your reference.
Pl do not hesitate to contact me if you need further details.

Re: Service/Mfg Deficiencies: Pending Complaint
mailed-by
gmail.com Dear Mr Kumar
I have highlighted the current problems in my letters dated 10 May
07 and the earlier letter of 28 Nov 06, including the earlier
complaints raised during the warranty period.
I would request your attention to resolve the matter - the problems have been highlighted in my letter of 10 May 07.
I fail to understand how your technician could comment'product is
working perfectly' when I clearly wrote on the service report that the
job has not been completed satisfactorily. This position is only to
delay satisfactory repair of the defective range, continuing since the
warranty period.
