Gareth Gates - Go your own Way

This is a double cd album by the fantastic pop idol Gareth Gates. The album is spilt into two cd's, Night and Day. When listening to it you can understand why they have done this. Night has many upbeat and funky dance tracks which you expect to hear on a 'night' out. The cd starts off with the hit single 'Sunshine'. This summery track track immediately gets you feeling happy and makes you want to get up and dance. The pace then carries on with the tracks 'Groove with me' 'Absolutely' 'Go your own way' and 'Just say yes'.

With the strong Guitar and drum sound the trakc 'Enough of me' proves to be a great Rock/pop song and gives the night cd a huge upbeat sound and a change in the music. The catchy dance tracks 'Club Hoppin' and 'Freak my Baby' have got to be my favouriteof the whole cd. The beat in these songs just make you wanna dance your socks off and they are also huge hits with many clubs. Two tracks on Night 'All cried out' and 'Soul Affection' have a slower pace than the rest, however you can still groove slowly with these tunes. The Day cd is totally different to Night. It has many ballads which you can chill out and relax to in the day.

The cd starts off with the very popular Norman Greenbaum's 'Spirit in the sky'. This bollywood type track is very catchy and was a big hit for Gareth in 2003. Another catchy track on Day is 'Foolish' This is also another popular club hit for Gareth. It then goes onto the hit single 'Say it isn't so'. The cd then continues and moves onto more heart-warming ballads 'Listen to my heart' 'Too soon to say goodbye' 'Nothings gonna stop us now' and 'Lies'. The more upbeat tracks on Day are 'Skeletons' and 'It happens everytime' These have a different pace and beat which gives the cd a different feelingand rhythm. Overall the album is absolutely fantastic and a must have for everybody. With 19 tracks it's good value for money. I would recommend it to anybodyas it has different styles of music to suit evryone such as Rock, Pop, Club and Dance.

This cd shows how much of a fantastice singer Gareth is and shows that he is a talented songwriter as half of the songs on the album are co-written by himself. This is a new and mature Gareth Gates who is definately 'Going his own way' and doing his thing!
