First visit to the north east, visited Sikkim for a 10 day mediation course. After completing the course, visited Gangtok for 4 days, the summer season was starting, weather was very pleasant. People are super polite.Great choice of restaurants in mg road. Visited the following places around in gangtok- chorten monastery, Tashi view point, plant conservatory, Ganesh tok, hanuman tok, gonjang monastery, bhanjkari falls. Out of all the places falls were the highlight.

Places I visited here was a hanuman temple and a ganpati temple. Hanuman tok has a really beautiful scenery. There are monasteries with absolutely pretty interior art representing their history and mythological stories. We went in january so the weather was cold, but not too cold. you can do river rafting here. We couldn't visit the nathula pass because we didn't got the permit. The local people here are very kind and helpful. MG market is the main shopping market here. You can try some local food here. You can also find some good shops here which sell antic designed silver jewellery. Its a well organised and absolutely systematic market.

Hi MouthShutters, today I'm gonna share my experience of visiting the destination called Gangtok. It's a beautiful place for vacation. I visited there 2times. I love seeing the beauty of nature. There is many good restaurants. "MG Marg" is the biggest market of entire Sikkim. My mountain lovers you should visit Gangtok once, I'm sure you'll gonna love this place.

Gangtok is a mind blowing place situated in Sikkim state. It is a costly area above all. But the views from the hotel verandahs are so attractive . I went to this place once in 2018 during Holi time . All of the mountain lover should visit that site atleast once.

I visited this beautyful place a year ago as a part of a trip within all of India . To be honest that trip included places like chennai , kolkata, darjeling, delhi, amritsar, chandigarh, gujrath, manali, goa and mumbai as well , even though I visited all these places the feeling or the vibe that you get from gangtok is a different one . Ive seen another review regarding the peoples attitude there but I havnt felt that . I think the people are kind . They way the system of trafic , shops , etc work are so organised. The destination feels like another foreign country. The people there even though are out for a shooping people dress really well and women there often do touch ups when they are out from home . I surely suggest this place for a travel destinations. It is surely a must see spot

Gangtok, the capital of the hilly state of Sikkim. Its really an awesome place to visit. It is very clean with an attractive road named 'MG Marg'. Only people are allowed to walk on MG Marg, you cannot drive there. MG Marg is the biggest market in the entire state of Sikkim.

The Restaurants out there, serve you with awesome foods.

The places are really nice and beautiful in Gangtok Sikkim but the people living there are not friendly and respectful they all are very very rude and selfish had a very rough and worst I must say trip there though Darjeeling people are better than the Gangtok people

some goons troubled us over there and started banging the car and were pulling our hands for nothing

Last year, in the month of March, I was touring north east India. Me and my friends, spent 2 days in gangtok, a city on the mountains, a city with Very sweet people, a city of curved roads. We stayed in Kun dau residency, an Oyo hotel. It was splendid tour. Gangtok is one of the most beautiful hill city's of India. We explored the Himalayan zoo park, Local sightseeing, and M G road shopping. The scenic view of entire gangtok city from the hotel was mesmerising.

Unfortunately, due to heavy snowfall we couldn't reach the very famous Tsongo lake and Nathula pass. Alot more can be done, explored and gather from this place in India. I would like to visit again for more days to gangtok.

Gangtok is covered in lush green mountains and rivers which gives a wonderful sight in any direction we look. The air is pure and fresh and it's refreshing. We stayed there for a week and it was a great escape from everyday rush and pollution form city life. I would recommend local sight seeing such as Mahatma Gandhi road and nearby lakes around gangtok over far off tourist places, but do visit Nathula pass, the indo-china border, it is a mountain peak covered in snow and the road to destination is a mesmerizing view. Travel tip : Always carry thermal bottle for warm water and carry winter cap for your ears. As far as my experience all the tour guide and taxi services were genuine, they took reasonable price and there behavior was polite, they haven't tried to scam us in any way. The ambience was surprisingly good. Best time to visit gangtok : November and December. If you want to have a snow fight visit zero point, it's a long journey from gangtok but if you go there on winter it will be worth it.

If youre looking for for some place to visit during summers! .Gangtok maybe one of the best options! .Its not so heavy on your pockets and also its a place of spiritiual importance. Its has many tourist places such as the famous Nathu la pass and also Tsomgo Lake. Tathagat sthal was my personal fav! .I would definetely recommend this place!

Last year I visited gangtok with my friends for school excursion, I never visited mountain, so thats moment was first time for me, and I fall inlove with hills, gank is a very clen and beutyful town, its like a heart of Himalayas, we enjoyed very much while traveling in the zip in mountain road, the peoples gangtok was very humble and helpful

I am staying here from 1yr even I am writing this review from gangtok. This is really good place which 108 km from siliguri. But is quite conjested place. But the view is Awsome. Nepali peoples are really cool specially gorls. Besides this you can find many resort, resturent. There is also a hospital called manipal. The price is not so costly from other tourist spot. You can use both flight and train. Overall its really good place for 1to2 weeks holiday one should come here and enjoy the most beauty of nature

I visited Gangtok last year with my wife.i was staying in blue sky hotel in Tibet road which is very near with MG Marg, the beauty of gangtok in just one word awsome.Gangtok is the city of NO Horn zone which is really appreciating.

1 day sight seen of Gangtok.

2 day natula pass, changu lake, Baba mandir.

3, 4 day north sikkim lachen , lachung.

Total cost of this tour around 11000 per person.

Hello friends, I visit Gantok it's very nice place to stay. Accessibility is good for tour because there are lots of places to visit. There are local sightse like lachen gurudongmor lake I have seen many waterfalls When we are going to gurudongmor lake. I like this place. It's very beautiful place MG marg is main market. Their are many hotels abalable and accommodations are very good. Hotels are good and cleanness. Here transport are very good. I love this place. It's safe for every one. My view of point this is very attractive and beautiful place.

I have been to Gangtok twice and its a mesmerising experience to witness white fluffy clouds passing above you and u wish to jump and catch those clouds.yes everything is thrilling in Gangtok a town amidst hills and overlooking the beautiful the most phographed white Kunchanjanga peak and when u see on a clear day just before u highest mighty majestic tall Kunchanjanga.I promise u haven't see such beauty in ur life a Devine feeling will u get that God is really great who made such a beauty in India.tears may roll on ur cheek and may thank God to show such a beauty of the earth.Kanchanjanga is the second highest peak in the world(8550

Gangtok is a very beautiful place situated in Sikkim. Awesome mountain, white mountian, danger road etc are the things which I had enjoyed in gangtok .you can reach this place only by road, the nearer airportvis bagdogra and nearer railway station is in siliguri from this place you can reach gantok by taxi cab etc

Hello everyone, I went to gangtok last November.but that is not the season over there. I reached there by train up to siliguri and from there by bus.We can reach there by flight also.we can hire a taxi and visit all the visiting spots.kanula, rope way, hot springs, snow fall, so many exciting things are there.safety is appropriate. Hotels and accommodation no problem.numerous hotels are there.thank you

I have been ti gangtok 2 years ago . Gangtok is the capital of sikkim it is a very beautiful hill station . Gangtok is full of ghats and beautiful enviornment and positive vibes u can visit many places in gangtok like baba mandir and nathula pass where u can see snow even if u go in summer. Nathula pass is border between india and nepal u need to carry your verification id with u . At baba mandir u can see wonderfull mandir of an military officer it is at a great hight so there is lack of oxygen people should carry mediciens form the doctor. It just around 200 or above from NJP railway station it is best hill station I have ver visited
