Five Best Inspirational Songs Tips

On an Island India
--- Broken wood piece & 'I' ---
Mar 15, 2009 06:51 PM 6861 Views

Inspire me… Please please me… It’s been long… That’s right… It’s been long since I penned something about Music…

Hold on, let me just tune this up… Strings don’t sound good. Meanwhile let me ask you, who is your all-time favorite **Musician?

It’s show time… The Five Inspirational Songs in my list and here it goes.

So close no matter how far… aren’t we too close to sing along on this broken wood piece? I sing alone because I am not good at that department. I like songs that are simple and which gives different meanings… If you want to get me down from this broken wood piece, then you got to carry a gun. Point the gun towards me and say ‘nothing else matters’. But that doesn’t help because I have grown mentally so strong where I could seriously think about painting a sky in dark wine.

*N J’s Choice of Inspirational Themes:

-*

# 1 Nothing Else Matters : *Metallica

*-

Hey brother/sister, cheer up. You got to cheer others up to breathe. So, why don’t you spread these words of whisper and let it be. Beatles, anybody remember this quote? The one which I mentioned right here? I wish if I was a philosopher nevertheless I do scribble on these papers lying on my bed. I make boat out of it; see them floating… till it fades off from my sight… Have you got it right?

I never opened myself this way

Life is ours, we live it our way

All these words I don’t just say

And nothing else matters…

-

# 2 Hey You : *Pink Floyd

-*

There is a lot many pranksters play with our mind. They just want to cut us into pieces. I tell you again, they just want us to cut down into pieces. Never, never, never, give up. This sounds silly. It isn’t that inane. I had a tough time using my keyboard since the key ‘U’ wasn’t functioning. I realized how important ‘U’ in my life. Without ‘U’, I wouldn’t have had lived.

Hey you, standing in the aisles

With itchy feet and fading smiles

Can you feel me?

Hey you, don’t help them to bury the light

Don’t give in without a fight…

-

# 3 Beautiful Day : *U2

*-

Do you believe in destiny? If so, give me a reason? It’s a beautiful day… Every day is beautiful… I spread colors in my text. Because I just want my reader to feel the colors in it. Likewise if you could smile at me and say those sweet words, I would be on my feet. Now does that give you all a hint to beam?

It's a beautiful day

Sky falls, you feel like

It's a beautiful day

Don't let it get away

-

# 4 Eye of the Tiger : Survivor

-

I was a drifter. I went to the east, west and south. I find like being a soldier who is experimenting scenes. Have you got it right? I like to experiment by replacing the scenes that took place in my life. It’s a risk, I know. But I won’t give up. I will strive hard to get myself back on track…

Risin' up, back on the street

Did my time, took my chances

Went the distance, now I'm back on my feet

Just a man and his will to survive

So many times, it happens too fast

You change your passion for glory

Don't lose your grip on the dreams of the past

You must fight just to keep them alive…

-

# 5 I Believe I Can Fly : R. Kelly

-

Now, it’s time to fly… I am going to fly and till I see you all… Let me wish you a happy listening to all the songs I have mentioned… Have you seen the roses? There is a whole lot of colors… It does… I observed after reading the quote once said by a legend.

I believe I can fly

I believe I can touch the sky

I think about it every night and day

Spread my wings and fly away

I believe I can soar

I see me running through that open door

I believe I can fly

I believe I can fly

I believe I can fly.

If you want to get me down from this broken wood piece, then you got to carry a gun. Point the gun towards me but I may not give up… Because I sing.

Risin' up, back on the street

Did my time, took my chances

Went the distance, now I'm back on my feet

Just a man and his will to survive

So many times, it happens too fast

You change your passion for glory

Don't lose your grip on the dreams of the past

You must fight just to keep them alive

It's the eye of the tiger, it's the cream of the fight

Risin' up to the challenge of our rival

And the last known survivor stalks his prey in the night

And he's watchin' us all in the eye of the tiger

Face to face, out in the heat

Hangin' tough, stayin' hungry

They stack the odds'til we take to the street

For we kill with the skill to survive

Risin' up, straight to the top

Have the guts, got the glory

Went the distance, now I'm not gonna stop

Just a man and his will to survive.

I have heard that, this universe started from big bang, a kind of sound released and that effect is felt when you chant OM or AMEN or similar one. Similarly if a good song, whether old or new, gives you a recharge of energy, it resonance with your inner sound, thats why we feel better. Inspiration is what makes a person get up from his slumber

towards a life which promises dreams and unlimited

possibilities. This can come in any form as it is present in

almost everything and it just depends how you look at it.If you

are a book lover it can come from the invaluable books of Tony

Robbins, Paul Coelho and many more.Music is the ultimate for

me to come out of the situation I am in.Coming to the

favourite part of reporting my lovely collection. There are many

songs that crop me up when down.I generally feel it depends

in the kind of mood you are and the way you currently feel. You

may be heart broken, not doing well in job, feel you have under

achieved in life etc.My list covers the in general all the

aspects and it in itself is not an entirety.

1.Bhool ja by Shaan-What a masterpiece and relevant song in

the current scenario where many teens and young guys are bit by

the love bug and end up ruining their lives in the crucial

juncture of life. This songs touches a chord with everyone who

feels let down by the departure of a loved one.

"In life, you always love the one who doesn't love you."

2.Zindagi Ek dard hain -Parivaar

Bet very few have heard this song.Even I happened to receive it

from one of my sweet sis-in-law who had given it to me when I

was discussing my problem. She is faraway but still I feel her

presence when I hear this.It is a nice song

3.Zindagi Har Kadam-Meri Jung

I love it.It is one of my favourite childhood songs which I

heard on Rangoli, the good old days of DD 1 on a Sunday

morning.Life is a battle to be won not to be lost.Whenever I

listen there is a strange feeling that engulfs me.an

unexplainable feeling. When I am down this song revs me up for

facing the life with a new enthu. The starting part with Piano

is a treat to hear.

4.Ashayain-Iqbal

Physical ailments never impede one's chances of making big in

life. This number sung by KK is a pleasure to listen.Somehow

cant help praising KK out here as he is sucj versatile singer

who can render his voice from such varied situations as Sad to

inspiring.Awarapan Banjarapan is a masterpiece, which makes you

feel the pain the character undergoes.

5.Uparwale Yeh kya kiya-Woh

I keep wondering the irony of good songs being in plenty from films which have bombed at the box office.Somehow it does injustice to the song which has been crafted brilliantly. This is one such song. The way he puts his point to god and at the same time consoles himself give it a humorous touch. Not sure of the singer but this one sweet song.

Motivation gets you going but habit gets you there. These are great to get inspired especially if you are down for reason whatsoever, they provide you the impetus to get up from there.Ultimately deoends on you to keep it going:)

TRUE INSPIRATION.
May 29, 2007 02:05 PM 6019 Views

Time to get up and get inspired. .we are growing older. The

seconds are passing away, turning into minutes, minutes turning

into hours and then into days and weeks and months and before we know

it a whole year is gone by.

In the next five years we will be five years older. SO many of us

postpone our thoughts, our actions, our tasks; thinking we will do it

tomorrow. .THere is a very famous couplet or( doha) by

Kabir which says.

Kaal karay so aaj kar;Aaj karey so aab,

Pal me parley hoegi bahura karyga kab?

In English it means: what you have to do tomorrow do it today and

what u have to do today do it now. At any moment a disaster may

strike, then when will you do it?

Inspiration to me is motivation, the will, thedesire to go on even

though life is tough and our deeds seem futile and our hardwork goes

unnoticed. It is the strenght to endure and go on.Since I am a firm

believer of God, I feel that there are invisible forces around us,

guiding us, showing us the way and lifting us when we are down, crest

fallen, defeated and tired. God inspired men in times of darkness with

light and knowledge, with wisdom and teachings.

Some of these inspirations come even in hte form of good friends, a

good book and sweet melodious songs.Since the topic is inspirational

songs I will put the one and only Number one on my list of five

as :

*1.YOU RAISE ME UP by JOSH GROBAN:

*Oh MY GOD! You havent heard this song. Its a must hear and a must

hear. I love this song from the moment it starts to the moment it ends.

The music is sensational and soars through your spirit dispelling your

doubts and filling you with new hope and radiance. Its a

beautiful, heart wrenching song, sung in a powerful, yet gentle voice.

Josh Groban is so young, his voice is mature and heavy and there

is  immense pain and deaph in his singing. One point to be

made  when you hear the song,

"you raise me up, high over  the mountains, I am stronger." *kindly refer  the'you', *in the song as *GOD.

2. HERO by MARIAH CAREY:

*Hero is a very  romantically touching song which is bound to

moisten your eyes.Hero is Mariah careys' signature songs and she

regularly performs it  in charity shows, public events, and it is

a song close to my heart.

So when you feel like hope is gone, look inside you ever strong

And then a hero comes along, with the strenght to carry on;

Hero is Mariahs most beautiful songs and You are bound to love it .

Dim ur lights , raise your feet and let

all that sadness drain out of you.

*3.YAHAN KE HAM SIKANDAR in  JO JEETA WOHI SIKANDER:

Woh sikander hi doston kehlata hai

hari bazi ko jeetna jise atta  hai

The real hero is the one who wins a losing battle. The first time I

head this song, my exams were just around the corner. IT  used to

always put mein good spirits. The song tells you that no

matter how badly you may have performed, the true sportsman, or a true

winner is the one who dose not lose heart but perseveres and works

hard. He blelieves in'I CAN and not'I  CANT' .The song has a very fresh feel, and music that is like sunshine, green

meadows anda lovely breeze. It is another matter taht  the song was

shot in Dehradoon.

*4.YEH SAFAR BAHUT HAI KATHIN MAGAR in 1942 A LOVE STORY:

yeh safar bahut hai kathin magar

na udaas ho mere ham safar

nahi rehne wali hai ye mushkile

Though

the journey maybe long and tiring, but it will end soon and there is

light at the end of a dark tunnel. So dont be sad my friend, my

companion, for we must go on and be brave. There is alwasy a silver

linning around every dark cloud. And I firmly believe that if God has

put you in a situation, if HE has put a burden on your weak shoulders,

then it may be  that our shoulders are not as weak as we think. For

God in HIs infinite wisdon and knowledge knows more than we EVERwould that we **can

do it**.THis is the basic message of this song and I get truly inspired

listening to it. Its soft, melodious and sooting to frayed

nerves.Hope you liked it.

*5.TUJHSE NAARAZ NAHIN ZINDAGI in MASOOM

*Have  you ever seen the world through the eyes of a child?

Pure, innocent, happy, is  how I describe children. If you have

purity of heart, truth in your tongue and good actions, then happiness

is yours. Children ask the most amazingly poignant questions that leave

you bewildered and groping for words. As we grow older life gets so complicated and entangled that we

forget  things were simple once. Try looking at the world from a childs eyes and you will find that

there still is beauty and grandeur and goodness left.in great

measure.THis song makes me feel exactly that.

In the very end after all the inspirational songs are over I would like

to add a small note my brother gave me that is beautiful and sweet and

a good reminder;

Count  your garden

by  the flowers

NEver by the leaves that fall,

Count your years with smiles,

not tears.

Count your blessings,

not your troubles.

My Inspirational Songs
May 29, 2007 12:17 PM 6774 Views

One distinctively good feature of our movies are the songs that are their in the movies. The music and lyrics of the industry touch heart and soul. They are there for all the occasions, wedding, party, devotional etc….Then there is inspiring or inspirational songs.

“Woh Sikandar Hi Dosto(Jo Jeeta Wo Hi Sikandar)”, is my first pick. Whenever I feel that I may not succeed I try to give more than my 100% because I know that no one cares about the looser but salutes the star of the day.

“Guddi’s Humko Maan Ki Shakti Dena”**, is a song that tells me that I should do the things ethically and should follow the right path. I remember that during the school days once I couldn’t sleep for the whole night because in one exam I had asked for an answer from the person who was sitting next to me. I am still ashamed of that even today but since then I have not done anything unethical.

Everyone has their share of ups and downs, so did I. During the low patch of my life I use to always feel that “Zindgi Ki Yahi Reet hai(Mr. India)” and learned my lesson of “Rote Rote Hasna Sikho( Andha Kanun)”. I think that it is extremely easy to crib about things and sit back and cry. Life has its phases and nothing is permanent, either you sit back and wait for some miracle to happen or make the best of what is available and strive to improve upon that.

My list of inspirational song will be incomplete without “Allah Tero Naam(Hum Dono)”, it is more of devotional song but I guess that for me it is important to mention this as the lyrics points to the development(all three spiritual, intellectual and material) of all the section of the society. Other reason why I find this as an inspirational song, is because of the presentation of the song in the back ground of the war.

Many may not agree with my list but very happy to note that some find it inspiring and few are inspired.

~~Life Is Beautiful~~
May 17, 2007 12:32 AM 13353 Views

Music in any form is inspiring.music inspires you to live, to love, to feel loved, to feel happy, and even to feel sad.Music can work wonders.music is capable of doing anything to you and it's best when it can inspire you when you feel low.it comes in the form of 'inspirational songs' which make you understand that you are to live your life.not waste it away by feeling sad over your past failures, past sad incidents and things.inspirational songs inspire you to live the present and forget past and to move on to make a better future for yourself.

Some of my most favourite inspirational songs are(choices vary from person to person):

*Mitwa - Lagaan

*A call for everyone to follow their dreams, even if the path seems long and the journey, never-ending. The song makes you understand that there’s nothing to be scared of and inspires you to face all the difficulties life throws at your way, because the world belongs to you as much as you belong to this world if only you have the courage to stand up to life with all its hardships. This song by Udit Narayan and Alka Yagnik is accompanied by wonderful music and can definitely inspire you whenever you feel worried about something or when you are scared of something.

"Aaja Re Aaja Re

Bhale Kitne Lambhe Ho Raste Ho

Thake Na Tera Yeh Tan Ho.

Aaja Re Aaja Re

Sunle Pukaare Dagariya

Rahe Na Yeh Raste Taraste Ho

Tu Aaja Re

Is Dharti Ka Hai Raja Tu Yeh Baat Jaan Le Tu

Kathnaayi Se Takraja Tu Nahin Haar Man Le Tu

Mitwa Sun Mitwa Tujhko Kya Darr Hai Re

Yeh Dharti Apni Hai Apna Ambar Hai Re."

*Allah ke bande – Waisa Bhi Hota Hai

*We, human beings, are referred to as ‘allah ke bande’.This song by Kailash Kher asks us to smile even if we have failed in our attempt to do something because there’s always another way to make our dreams come true. Life doesn’t end in failure and hope must never die…this song inspires us to smile just when we think that its all over…nothing can be as beautiful as the way in which the song conveys its wonderful meaning…

"Toota Toota Ek Parinda Aise Toota

Ke Phir Jud Naa Paaya

Loota Loota Kisne Usko Aise Loota Ke Phir Ud Naa Paaya

Girta Hua Woh Asma Se Aakar Gira Zameen Par

Khwabon Mein Phir Bhi Badal Hi The

Woh Kehta Raha Magar

Ke Allah Ke Bande Hasde Allah Ke Bande

Allah Ke Bande Hasde Jo Bhi Ho Kal Phir Aayega."

Rubaroo-Rang De Basanti

Sung by A.R Rehman and Naresh Iyer, this song inspires you to have faith in your own, the song can fill you up with strength and courage to attend to do the things you always thought you couldn’t do. Light and Hope are the synonymous words that I can find to replace the lyrics of this wonderful song. One can almost imagine seeing oneself flying while listening to this song!

"Aandhiyon se jaghad rahi hai lau meri

Ab mashaalon si bhad rahi hai lau meri

Naamo nishaan rahe na rahe

Yeh kaaravaan rahe na rahe

Ujaale mein pee gaya

Roshan huaa jee gaya

Kyon sehte rahe

Rubaroo roshni hai. "

Yahan Ke Hum Sikandar – Jo Jeeta Wahi Sikandar*

Unlike most of the other inspiring songs, this song carries a fig for the world which doesn’t understand you, nevertheless I would say it’s one of the best inspirational songs ever made(because it inspired me a lot during my examinations). You are a winner if you can win a lost bet, no matter if nobody understand you, no matter if everyone feels you are a loser…all you have to keep in mind is that you lead life with full spirit and do your best at everything and soon you will feel that ‘Aaj Main Aage, Zamana Hai Peeche’ – the society is behind you and you are above it all! The song, sung by Udit Narayan is full of the spirit of life in it and can be just what you need for inspiration when you feel shunted by everyone else around you…

"Ye Galiyan Apni Ye Raste Apne Kaun Aayega Apne Aage

Hey Raahon Mein Humse Takrayega Jo Hat Jayega Vo Ghabraake

Yahan Ke Hum Sikandar

Chaahein To Rakh Lein Sab Ko Apni Jeb Ke Andar

Arre Humse Bachke Rehna Mere Yaar

Nahin Samjhe Hai Vo Humein To Kya Jaata Hai

Haari Baazi Ko Jeetna Humein Aata Hai."

Ruk Jana Nahi - Imtihaan

*What can be a better source of inspiration than this beautiful song? The song beckons you to move forward in life, despite all the hardships, failures, sadness and every low feeling that you feel in your journey through life…Life never stops and you just have to move on with it(whether you like it or not) but someday you will realize that you are well rewarded for the long and rough journey that you undertook… ‘Where there is darkness, there is light’…so if you don’t experience the “downs” of life, then how will you ever relish the “ups”? To reach the garden of happiness, you need to go through the path laid with thorns first…that’s what life is all about and that’s what this song in Kishore Kumar’s eternal voice inspires us with – to move on in life.

"Saathi na caravan hai ye tera imtihaan hai

Yunhi chalta chal gam ke sahare

Sitaron ki manzil karti ishare.

Rukh jana nahi tu kabhi har ke

Kanto pe chal ke milenge saye baharke

O rahi.o rahi."

I dedicate this review to my friend Itika(itikasharma) – firstly, because this is supposed to be her birthday gift – Happy Birthday, Itika!.And secondly because she has been a source of inspiration, a source of happiness to me whenever I have felt low…thank you for being there, Itika…and I think you deserve all the happiness in the world because you are a wonderful person

When I was I kid and got upset over a failure. a class test or race or when I fell down and hurt myself I always had my father by my side and he always sang this song for me. its not filmy but my dad sung his fav song for me and its:

  1. Ruk Jaana Nahin - IMTIHAAN(OLD)

ruk jaanaa naheen too kahee haar ke

kaanto pe chal ke milenge saaye bahaar ke

o raahee, o raahee

sooraj dekh ruk gayaa hai, tere aage zook gayaa hai

jab kabhee ayese koee masataanaa

nikale hain apanee dhoon mein deewaanaa

shaam suhaanee ban jaate hai, din intajaar ke

saathee naa kaarawaan hai, ye teraa imtihaan hai

yoohee chalaa chal dil ke sahaare

ke detee hain manjaeel tuz ko ishaare

dekh kahee koee rokaa naheen le, tuz ko pukaar ke

When I came to school I was scared if I would be able to make friends or no as I was bit reserved since a cchild but I did make friends, not one but loads of them . we had fun, we faught, we bunked school, we bunked our extra choaching class and when it was time to go seperate ways we were shattered and then we sat in a class room and sang a song as we had been frens for 10 yrs . no jokes my friends Ujjwal, Atuk have been there with me for 17 yrs now as best friends and this is the song we sang then:

  1. Chalte Chalte Mere Ye Geet Yaad Rakhna - CHALTE CHALTE

Chalte Chalte Mere Ye Geet Yaad Rakhna

Kabhi Alwida Na Kehna

Rote Hanste Bas Yoon Hi Tum Gungunate Rehna

Kabhi Alwida Na Kehna

Pyar Karte Karte Hum Tum Kahin Kho Jaayenge

In Hi Baharon Ke Aanchal Mein Thak Ke So Jaayenge

Sapnon Ko Phir Bhi Tum Yoon Hi Sajaate Rehna

Kabhi Alwida Na Kehna.

Beech Raah Mein Dilbar Bichhad Jayen Kahin Hum Agar

Aur Sooni Si Lage Tumhe Jeevan Ki Yeh Dagar

Hum Laut Aayenge Tum Yoon Hi Bulate Rehna

Kabhi Alwida Na Kehna.

Tarun's father is from Army, he is a retired col now and this army back ground always inspired him and when this song comes he loves it. it gives him strength to fight problems in his life. the song is:

3.Kandhon Se Milte Hain Kandhe - LAKSHYA

Kandhon se milte hain kandhe, qadmon se qadam milte hain

Ham chalte hain jab aise toh dil dushman ke hilte hain

Ab toh hamein aage badte hai rehna

Ab toh hamein saathi hai bas itna hi kehna

Ab toh hamein aage badte hain rehna

Ab toh hamein saathi hai bas itna hi kehna

Ab jo bhi ho shola banke pathar hai pighlaana

Ab jo bhi ho baadal banke parbat par hai chhaana

Kandhon se milte hain kandhe, qadmon se qadam milte hain

Ham chalte hain jab aise toh dil dushman ke hilte hain

Whenever I was low and felt that no body loves me as a kid over things like not being given to eat ice cream in winters I would yell and cry and my grandmom would come and tell me to sing this song:

  1. Itanee Shakti Hamei Denaa - ANKUSH

itanee shaktee humei denaa daataa, man kaa wishwaas kamajor ho naa

hum chale nek raste pe hum se, bhoolakar bhee koee bhool ho naa

har taraf julm hain, bebasee hain, sahumaa sahumaa saa har aadamee hain

paap kaa boz badhataa hee jaaye, jaane kaise ye dharatee thamee hain

Well as and when I grew up I realised that life is not at all simple and floery it was my parents and grand parents who made it so fairy tail type. I was not allowed to do any work myself and I even had 3 servants just for me. one to take me for a walk, one to play with me and one to be with me when the other two were busy. as a child my grandmom pampered me like noone did. today she is no more and I miss her a lot. when I got married and went places there were times I had no maid and couldn;t find one and I was like seeing the turth of life and that when tarun sang this song for me.(PSSSSSSSSSSSSS he is a good singer):

  1. Zindagi Kaisi Hain Paheli Haaye -ANAND

Zindagi .kaisi hai paheli, haaye

Kabhi to hansaaye kabhi ye rulaaye

Zindagi.

Kabhi dekho man nahi jaage peechhe peechhe sapno ke bhaage

Ek din sapno ka raahi chalaa jaaye sapno ke aage kaha

Zindagi.

Jinhone sajaaye yaha mele sukh-dukh sang-sang jhele

Wahi chunkar khaamoshi yu chali jaaye akele kaha

Zindagi.

Well thats my small story. i'm pampered a lot from childhood till now. My grand parents pampered me, my friends pampered me and now Tarun is pampering me. I feel i'm very lucky.

Thank you for stopping by.

Definetly a great inspirer !!

Yes, Music is definetly a great inspirer.I couldnt say its the greatest as there are many more things capable to inspire human lives like love. But all these have a common syndrome. You can't clearly relate the reason why and how they inspire you but U actually get transformed.Thats the beauty of nature and what GOD has created!

This topic immediately drew my attention because of its fresh flavor.

So, I am here to share the best songs that inspire me in all occasions.Being a South Indian, I am relating to my knowledge and exposure on Telugu and Tamil film music.

Staring with the classic era of Ilayaraja, there are innumerable numbers that are hard to be quoted. Some of them include

Vedam anuvanuvuna naadam.from K.Vishwanath's Sagara Sangamam stands out for the zeal and classical depth it has.

Nenu saitam prapanchagni ki.from K Balachandar's Rudraveena has the stamina to inspire instantly.

On top of my yesteryear's songs list, is AR Rahman's compilation Ekku Tolimettu, kondani kottu dee kottu.from Rajini's Narasimha(Padayappa in tamil)

Maaya Maaya.anta Maaya.from Rajini's Baba is an excellent offspring of deep philosophical lyrics and energetic Udit Narayan's rendition.

Closely follows Jana Gana mana.from Manirathnam's Yuva. This has got tremendous energy to connect to our inner self. The lyrics could have been much better.

On the same lines, Lukka chupi.from Rang De Basanti and Chale Chalo.from Lagaan stand out.

Pehla Nasha.from Jo Jeeta Wahi Sikandar is also an amazing tune that has it!

I have quoted all these randomly and have missed dozens of wonderful numbers.

Music is divine.

I think inspirational songs have boosted our energy, mood & activity. These motivational songs help us in brightening the day, cause us to stop and think, make us smile, or perhaps simple help in triggering off an answer to a long impending and perplexing problem.

At any point of time, an individual draws inspiration from the surroundings and environment that he inhabits. And of course being exposed to inspirational songs can help in inspiring one to grow over their current troubles and problems and strive for the better.

Many a times, inspirational songs helps one to feel the emotions that he/she is trying to set in words. Inspirational songs are akin to a story told directly to the soul. Some of the all time greatest inspirational songs are famous even today and might continue to do so for years to come. Here is a list of some of the most inspirational songs.

Apart from this we must not forget one of the best inspirational song of the century i.e. Itni shakti Hame dena datta Maan ka Vishwwas Kamzor ho na. Dekh Le aakho mein Aakhe Dal(Munnabhai MBBS) . & Kandho Se Melte hai Kandhe(Lakshya).

You Lift Me Up!

The word'Inspiration' basically can be an inspiration for anything .

It Can be the Inspiration to rise once again from the ashes once again to take life in your arms.

It Can be the inspiration to once again fall in love after the hideous heartbreak.

It Can be the inspiration to carry on your life despite whatever comes your way.

It Can the inspiration to move ahead despite losing the one you love.

We all have one thing in common. Each one of us has his or her own set of problems . Dont we?The secret of facing these with a smile remains unknown to me . Maybe its because I expect too much from him/her or maybe I myself fails to perform because of the level of expectations . Maybe the best thing in life is not to expect anything. Just give hapiness and hope for the best. Unfortunately the foolish guy I am I cant do this .I expect things in life. I Expect my friends to call me up . I Expect good marks for my hard work. I expect love from Miss.Xyz and so on . Now when these so called'dreams' which I have are not fulfilled im upset. So what to do now friends? Should I wait for God to come down and answer to my Why's? Or should I break down completely and think life is of no good? There are two ways to live life . Either break down and submit yourself to those tears . Or get up . get your act straight and say Aye Saala . I've had enough of this bullshit .Time to give life some taste of its own medicine!

Music is and has always been my source of inspiration to move on in life . So after the *gyaan * its time to give some more gyaan on inspiring songs

Rubaroo~ Rang De Basanti This is my favorite song as of now. Just havent grown out of it .

A.R. Rehman has this uncanny knack of coming up with these jewels every now and then. This song really makes me feel good. It inspires me to fight against all odds . The beauty of the song is its young peppy feel. It sounds very easy to the ears . Rang De Basanti is undoubtedly the best hindi album to come in the decade . Rubaroo basically is all about the realisation to move on in life to achive greater things. Forget the time you've wasted in working out things that could'nt work out. Move on man!

Favorite lines from the song are jo gumshuda sa khwaab tha. woh mil gaya. woh khil gaya

Its like that lost cause is back again . I want to live again . Reach where I belong . to the top once again. Makes me work hard and fight and say Aye Saala!

Hope~ Shaggy Most of you will be surprised to see a Shaggy song here. But there's a different facet to Shaggy than his usual stuff. Little does anyone know about his hard up-bringing. Look at what he is today . One of the biggest black stars on earth. Its been a long journey for him . From those humble houses of Jamaica to his multi-storeyed U.S. Residence. The songHope is all about his life. Its his story of joy and hapiness. Hope is what we all are. Struggling to rise above our difficulties. Our difficulties can be variuos~ Financial, Physical or Emotional for that matter.

But its this'Hope' that makes us carry on . Heck its this hope that makes us all carry on in life. C'mon we all hope for our share of love and luck. If there was no hope then we would'nt be doing this struggle against our difficulties. So all in all. Work hard and Hope for the best!

Favorite line from this Shaggy Classic are Son everytime the tides are high, the boat maybe rocky but you can never give up

Aasman Ke Paar ShayadThis one has to be there in any inspirational song list doesnt it?

Brilliantly sung by Shankar Mahadevan this song is all about aspirations. This song deals with the feeling you get when that *josh * to do something which you always wanted to do. Hapiness lies in the smallest of things. For a miser hapiness can be in saving money . for a tycoon hapiness can be in buying a sexy car! Hapiness can be in the smile of a baby. But what makes success sweet is the hard work youve put in achieving it . Yet again Aasman Ke Paar Shayad is a song about Hope. We all hope for better times dont we? Amidts the surf and the swells there is a hope for a shore.

Definitely one of Shankar Mahadevan's better songs. The sheer sweetness of his voice makes this one a total winner.

Favorite lines from this one are Main Yaahon Ke Paroon pe. jaa raha hoon kahaan

Ruk Jaana Nahi Tu Kahi HarkeRuk Jaana is a Kishoreda classic from the movie Intehaan. The magic of Kishore Da's voice gets to you as soon as you start listening to this classic.

The pure blissfulness of his voice gets to you as it sinks in your soul. Its no wonder people call him one of the greatest multi-talents on earth. The song is as beautiful as Kishoreda's voice . We all have to walk down this path of life. Dont we? For some it maybe a Highway. for some it may be trodden with difficulties. But the bottomline is that jeena to hain hi na *. So why not walk this path with smiles instead of tears . Why bow down to the difficulties . Why not face them with a smile folks. Why not decide that I will reach my goal may come what may. Ankhir rukna nahi hain mujhe haar ke .

Lakshya~ Lakshya Another Shankar Mahadevan song. This one is from Lakshya . Although the movie was not ground~breaking its music was . Lakshya is a beautiful track . Its got that zing which instantly makes you focus on your dreams . Its a track which basically describes what you have to do in life. Achieve your goal. The hindrances may be many . But you have to win. The song seems to be a part of every review on this topic . But once you listen to this song you shall know why its such a winner.

Shankar sings the song with great passion and pitch. Lakshya~ meaning the aim. Well I don't know what you aim in life friends. The song very beautifully describes the fight against the difficulties in life.

Mushkil koi aa jaye to. Parvat koi takraye to. Taakat koi dikhlaye to .Toofan koi mandraye to .

Barse chahe ambar se aag, Lipte chahe pairon se naag. Payega jo lakshya hain tera

And to end it in the devil ishtyle Work Hard. Party Harder *

Inspiration is something that pulls you out if you are SINKING, puts you straight if you are running in circles, shows you light in DARK, brings SMILE in your EYES, makes you FEEL you are IMPORTANT, HOLDS your hand when you are alone, LENDS you her shoulder when you want to CRY and HOLDS you in her ARMS when you want to HOLD HER.

  1. ITNI SHAKTI HAMEIN DENA DATA,

MAN KA VISHWAS KAMZOOR HO NA,

HAM CHALEIN NEK RASTE PE HAMSE,

BHOOL KAR BHI KOI BHOOL HO NA*

This song inspires when I feel lonely and isolated. There are instances in life which make you arrive at a situation when you feel too much frustrated and everything seems useless. At that point of time, I murmur this prayer, sing this song, hum its tune. It gives me power, power to be what I am, power to be right against all wrongs happening in the society, country, world, power to let me feel that there is some power beyond all powers of this world put together that controls the world. That power comes to some people in temples, some find it in themselves, some get inspired when they see it in others BUT wherever they find it, they bow to it and respect it. This song inculcates something in me that is beyond explanations.

  1. AANE WALA PAL JAANE WALA HAI

HO SAKE TO ISME ZINDAGI BITA DO

PAL JO YE JAANE WALA HAI, ….*

This song is from the film GOLMAAL(1979) sung by KISHORE KUMAR. The song inspires to live every moment of life as and when it comes without thinking of what has happened in the past and bothering about what is going to happen in the future. The song is as lively as the life is and delivers lot of inspiration. This song makes a 60 watts bulb to glow at 100 watts(and injects life in a fused bulb). After all, We do get fused at times! And then we do need some words to cheer us up.

  1. YE TERA GHAR YE MERA GHAR

KISIKO DEKHNA HO GAR

TO PEHLE AA KE MAANG LE

TERI NAZAR MERI NAZAR*

Movie: SAATH SAATH(1982), Singers: SHAILENDER SINGH and ASHA BHOSLE. This song is to be sung with your IKLAUTI BANNO you have in your life. And those who are without BANNO right now, watch out!, and till then you can sing it alone(singing his/her part also till that gap is filled). This song turns your MAKAAN into GHAR, house into SWEET HOME. You have to have a special NAZAR to look at your HOME, like for a MOTHER, all CHILDREN are CHILDREN, but HER CHILD is the most SPECIAL TREASURE SHE OWNS in her LIFE. Similarly, your HOME, whatever size – big or small, location, appearance - old or new, YOUR HOME IS YOUR HOME. AND IT IS THE BEST PLACE IN THE WHOLE WORLD for YOU.

4.    RONA KABHI NAHI RONA,

CHAHE TOOT JAYE KOI KHILONA

SONA CHUPKE SE SONA

CHAHE ROOTH JAYE SAPNA SALONA*

This song is from the movie ANDHA KANOON and is sung by KISHORE KUMAR. This song has a freshness and touch of sincerity. KHILONA and SAPNA SALONA here has varied meanings changing with the AGE. But it is as inspiring for me when I was child as it is for me even now. I don’t play with KHILONAS anymore and don’t bother myself about SWEET DREAMS but then these golden words help me come out of my failures and sorrows. It promises me that after every NIGHT there is a MORNING, after every SORROW there is a bigger HAPPINESS and after every FAILURE there is a bigger SUCCESS. So don’t get bogged down by such temporary phases of life and be HOPEFUL for BETTER every time. Life has lot in store for each of us which includes all colors. I would like to share some more words from this song –

*DUKH SUKH KI KYA BAAT HAI

YE TO SABKE SAATH HAI”

  1. MERE RANG MEIN RANGNE WALI

PARI HO YA HO PARION KI RANI

YA HO KOI PREM KAHANI

MERE SAWALON KA JAWAB DO*

This song inspires her more for whom I sing this song. And when she gets inspired, I get doubly inspired. This song catches you for its beautiful lyrics, depth in voice, superb music and perfect picturization in the movie MAINE PYAR KIYA(1989) sung by S P BALASUBRAMANIAM. Just try to listen to this song from your HEART.

*BOLO NA KYUN YE CHAND SITARE

TAKTE HAIN YUN MUKHADE KO TUMHARE

That’s all what I had to say.

And at the end two lines for Mouthshut.com

*”ZINDAGI JAB BHI TERI BAZM MEIN LATI HAI HAMEIN

YE ZAMEEN CHAND SE BEHTAR NAZAR AATI HAI HAMEIN”*

Celebrate the Spirit of Life....
Apr 12, 2006 08:31 AM 7025 Views

For some, inspirational songs are patriotic ones while for others, they are those which celebrate the spirit of life. I for one, prefer to fall in the latter category.

During our course of busy

lives, We tend to forget that the life we are leading is a boon. And to remind ourselves what we are losing, just listen to these songs to get pumped, recharged, energised. I do it very often, almost daily. Would recommend to sing them along whenever possible and experience for the difference.

These are some of my kind of inspirational songs. And am pretty sure most of you might have listened to and likened them before.

Zindagi Pyaar Ki Do Chaar Ghadi Hoti Hain(ANARKALI)

No better voice than Hemnatda would have made the justice to this simple yet sweet song composed by Chitalkar than Hemant Kumar’s. Very contrasting lines but absolutely taru(true).

Zindagi ka Saath Nibhata Chala Gaya(HUM DONO)

This simple yet meaningful song by Rafi saab inspires you to take life easy. Rather than getting frustated with daily chores, try to make peace with Life and enjoy. The highlight line of the song is ’’Main Fikr ko Dhoowein Udatha Chala Gaya’’.

Zindagi Pyaar Ka Geet Hain(SOUTEN)

The only solo inspirational song by a female singer in my list. The song was so inspirational for me that while studying intermediate I used to wake up early to listen to this song on Chitralok(on radio). ’’Jiska Jitna Ho Aanchal Yahaan Par, Usko Saugaat Utni Milegi’’.

Zindagi Aa Raha Hoon Main(MASHAAL)

Oye Hoyee. If you have not yet heard about this song, do take time to listen to it. One helluva of a song. Any person in his/her prime youth has to like this gem of a song from the movie ’Mashaal’ where the Hero after having transformed is informing Zindagi that I will be always there to face challenges ahead

’’Kabhi Tujhko Gila Mujhse, Kabhi Mujhko Shikayath Hain

Magar Phir Bhi Mujhe Teri, Tujhe Meri Jaroorath Hain

Main Yeh Elaan Karta, Main Tujhse Pyaar Karta Hoon.’’

Zindagi Ke Safar Mein Guzar Jaate Hain(AAP KI KASAM)

Kishore Da’s voice to this evergreen song from the romantic movie ’Aap Ki Kasam’ reminds one the value of time lost(that could not be spent with your loved ones) and how costly one’s smallest mistakes could turn out to be.

Zindagi Kaisi Hain Paheli Haaye(ANAND)

One song that will wake you up to ponder the philosophy of Zindagi and meaning of Happiness in Life. On top of that Mannadey’s voice is simply touching.

Aye Zindagi Gale Lagale(SADMA)

Wonderfully composed by the Maestro and beautifully sung by Suresh Wadkar to the classical lyrics of Gulzar.

’’Humne Bahane sey, Chupke Zamane Se.

Palko Ke Parde Mein Ghar Bhar Liya

Tera Sahara Mila Gaya Hain Zindagi. ’’

Ik Raasta Hain Zindagi Jo Tham Gaye(KAALA PATHTHAR)

Another scintillating one from the bhari bharkam voice of Kishoreda Keep on going. ’’Jaate HUye Kadmon Sey, Aatey Huye Kadmon Sey

Bhari Rahegi Raahe Guzar, Jo Hum Gaye Tho Kuch Nahin.’’

Zindagi Zindagi Mere Ghar Aana Zindagi(DOORIYAN)

A rather slow but meaningful song. It is in this list only as a personal favourite.

Zindagi ki na tutey Ladi(KRANTI)

Can’t explain what I like about this song but whenever it is on, just cannot get away. May be it is too romantic, true and worth listening. like

’’Unn aakhon ka Hasna hi Kya, Jin Aakhon Mein Paani Na Hon

Woh Jawaani. Jawaani Nahin, Jiski Koi Kahani Na Ho’’

Tujhse Naaraz Nahin Zindagi Hairaan(MASOOM)

Can there be any other song to end the list with? If so, do comment and let me know which other songs of yours keep you inspiring.

@Sarvesh.

A Driving Force.........
Feb 23, 2006 01:51 PM 8751 Views

Inspiration as I perceive is the driving force that makes any person go ahead and complete a deed or as a matter of fact lets take their dreams…or goals….As my board exams are just a few days far away I think this is the right time when I hear “INSPIRATIONAL SONGS” …well, isn’t it the right time?

(If my mom finds me writing a review right now then I’ll be killed ….and will have to hear …Mudra why aren’t u studying  ?Is this the time to write reviews…When will u learn to focus on ur goals?)

Well, this is the time when I feel like hearing to the below mentioned songs….Most of them are quite common but they are my favorites too….

Yaa, one more thing before I start my review …Just bear with me if my list goes ahead of 5 songs…i.e if I mention more than 5 songs….

1>>>> PAPA KEHTE HAIN….

  • Papa kehte hain bada naam karega …

Beta hamara aisa kaam karega…

This is my all time favorite song…It inspires u to keep on working hard ‘coz there are sooooo many people who expect a lot from u…and above all u feel like showing everyone that U CAN DO IT!And ofcourse making ur parents proud of u!

2>>>>ASHAYEIN….(IQBAL)

  • Kuch pane ho aas aas .Koi armaan

ho jo khaas  khaas … Ashayien   …

Har koshish mein ho vaar vaar…

Karen dariyaon ko aar paar …Ashayien…

Toofanon ko cheer ke …

Manzilon ko chhin le…Ashayein…

Isn’t the lyrics too good, The song beautifully is sung by K.K and composed by Suleiman …Whenever I hear this song I feel that what was I doing till now?I’ve still got to do a lot many things to reach my goals …and to PURI KAROFY EVERYONES ASHAYEIN……

3>>>>EKLA CHALO….(Bose the forgotten hero)

Tanha raahi apni rah chalta jayega…

Ab to jo bhi hoga dekha jayega…

Boojh kitna ho mushkiloon ka magar…

Naa jhuka hai na jhuk sakega yeh sir…

Zinda fir bhi rahega mera zameer …

Jism ko maut bhi aa jaye agar…

This song starts with some Bengali lyrics…which means the same as the Hindi lyrics ….The song is penned by  Javed Akhtar and sung by Sonu Nigam and Nachiketa Chakraborty and the music is given by none other than A R Rahman….This song makes u realize that even if no one believes in u .U have to believe in urself and go ahead alone to fulfil ur dreams ‘coz its afterall ur life and ur dreams…so…BELIEVE IN URSELF!

4>>>>LAKSHYA(Lakshya)

haan yahi rasta hai tera … Tune ab jaana hai …

Haan yahi Sapna hai tera…tune pehchana hai

Tujhe ab ye dikhana hai…

Roke tujhko aandhiyaan…yaa zameen aur aasmaan …

Paayega jo lakshya kai tera…

Lakshya to har haal mein paana hai…

This song is just mind-blowing and is composed and sung by Shankar Mahadevan….This song tells u to reach ur goals COME WHAT MAY!

5>>>>KHOON CHALA(Rang de Basanti)

Kuch kar guzarne ko…Khoon chala…

Ankhon ke shishe mein utarne ko…Khoon chala…

Badan se tapak kar .Zameen se lipat kar…

Galiyon se raston se ubhar kar, umad kar…

Nayen rang bharne ko… Khoon chala …

This song is from the latest blockbuster hit –Rang De Basanti…The song is not too famous yet but once u hear it u feel like hearing it all the time…Its penned by Prasoon Joshi, Composed by-AR Rahman, sung by-Mohit Chauhan…

This song reveals that if u want to fulfil ur dreams and reachur goals then u’ll have to face various difficulties but U HAVE TO OVERCOME UR OBSTACLES!

Well,

The film was not a hit(not for me) but its music was a hit especially this song.I don't know about you but it gives me some sort of energy(motivation). Unlike others it has a rocking music and is inspirational believe me.listen to it if you haven't

5)CHALE CHALO

SINGERS-A.R.REHMAN, SRINIVAS

MUSIC-Guess who.(REHMAN)

MOVIE-LAGAAN

This song is picturised when AAMIR KHANS team is in a danger of losing the cricket match against the british. This is to inspire them not to lose hope.It has always inspired me.Again REHMAN has done a fantastic job in composing and singing. The song turning out fast in the end is also sa good innovation of REHMAN.A MUST LISTEN AGAIN.

Dare to dream
Feb 06, 2006 10:20 PM 4430 Views

Just close ur eyes and say the word inspiration from ur heart and as if the *'Ins' *goes down in ur heart and like a spark comes out *'spire' *( does it seem stupid?!?!?)No it isn't just try saying the word, it has the power.

'There is nothing in a caterpillar that will make you think it is going to be a butterfly'

Inspiration is everywhere.in everything.and everybody. Some songs just touch your heart they are more than just mere words flowing with tunes. They are much more makig a difference to each of our lives.

1.dil hai chota sa.

dil hai chotta sa

chotti si aash

chand taaron ko chune ki aasha

aasmano mein udane ki asha.

Well this song from Roza is just a classic in itself. The  way they say *chotti si *is like you can feel that in the heart of hearts you are nurturing a silent desire, a silent ambition to conquer the world. It seems that the sky is just a n arm's length away and just a stretch can get you all the inumerable stars out there.

2.aashayein

All you have to do to get the peppy energy is buy  a cassette or a CD of Iqbal and turn on to this melody.Ab mushkil nahi kuch bhi .nahi kuch bhi. as if some body is telling go just do what you want, there is no hurdle now.You are free to achieve whatever you dreamt of ever.

3.yeh safar.

yeh safar bahut hai kathin magar

na udaas ho mere hamsafar.

This is the typical slow and powerful songs of Jagjit singh form the film love story 1942.It tells you come on now life is tough every body knows, you can see evrybody cribbing.Don't be sad.Live life you may never know what you may get.this is for all those people who have left faith in life you ought to hear this one.

4.dheere jalna.

This is from paheli and I know it really isn't an inspirational song. But it does have a hidden meaning to it.It means that go slow, move with life neither ahead nor behind it.Go where life takes you.The ultimate is always the best.

5.chotte chotte shahron se.

chad se hokar sadak jaati hai

ussi par aage chalkar

apna makan hoga

I just love this paragraph. It brings out the picture of daring to dream spirit. This may be a fun song for many but its words are truly inspiring. It instills in you the confidence to have the courage to hope.

Well.well those are a few I consider inspirational.i know I have left out many good ones lakshyabut still I would like to stick to these.Inspiration is a mere spark the ignition to make it a fire is our work. And all you guys out there this can't be merely done by listening to songs .You need to have tremendous will power to achieve, courage to fail and rise again and a dream that can give you life.

Be inspired!
Dec 27, 2005 02:50 AM 3451 Views

Phew! Im almost out of breath!

just couldnt help rushing in with this last review before winding up 2005 - folding it nicely, smoothing away all the crumples nicely with my hands and stashing it into my memory box where rests 2004, 2003 and the rest of my past years.

Be warned folks.festivity's in the air! and its contagious! anyone being solemn will be charged of misconduct and slapped a fine where deemed inappropriate!

No new movies seen, no new books read.so what do I do? A review on songs seemed the best bet. Was inspired to write on inspirational ones:) Now, im just a normal chap. I get inspired by the most stupid of things.and turned off by the most inspirational ones.

And anything from washing ur filthy undergarments to saving the world are things, which can be done when u get inspired.  So dont ask me what I do when I get inspired.sometimes I just lie on my bed and stare at the fan turning.it cant get any more inspirational than that:)

So my list of songs, in no particular order would go something like this. They have nothing in common other than, well, the fact that they inspire me.

  1. When All is Said And Done - ABBA

Here's to us one more toast and then we'll pay the bill

Deep inside both of us can feel the autumn chill

Birds of passage, you and me

We fly instinctively

When the summer's over and the dark clouds hide the sun

Neither you nor I'm to blame when all is said and done

In our lives we have walked some strange and lonely treks

Slightly worn but dignified and not too old for sex

We're still striving for the sky

No taste for humble pie

Thanks for all your generous love and thanks for all the fun

Neither you nor I'm to blame when all is said and done

It's so strange when you're down and lying on the floor

How you rise, shake your head, get up and ask for more

Clear-headed and open-eyed

With nothing left to try

Standing calmly at the crossroads, no desire to run

There's no hurry any more when all is said and done

I grew up on ABBA, my dad was a great fan. I am no less.

This is the only song that can make me jump up from my bed on a sleepy sunday morning and sharpen my ear at the window, if I even thought I had heard a faint semblence of it from the streets below. One of the songs I'd like to take with me on my trip afterlife. Would warm me on those long, cold, lonely nights in hell:)

  1. Blue Bayou - Linda Ronstadt

I feel so bad I got a worried mind

I'm so lonesome all the time

Since I left my baby behind

On Blue Bayou

Saving nickels saving dimes

Working till the sun don't shine

Looking forward to happier times

On Blue Bayou

I'm going back someday

Come what may

To Blue Bayou

Where the folks are fine

And the world is mine

On Blue Bayou

Where those fishing boats

With their sails afloat

If I could only see

That familiar sunrise

Through sleepy eyes

How happy I'd be

I love the Linda Ronstadt version and ABSOLUTELY despise the Ray Orbison track. I could marry Linda for singing this. I have never heard another song of Linda in my life and yet still she is my fav female singer due to this single track.

.If imaginations were places we could create, I'd go to Blue Bayou and live with the the fishing boats and my folks… and wake up to feel the mild sunshine in my sleepy eyes.

  1. Underwater Love - Smoke City

This must be underwater love

The way I feel it slipping all over me

This must be underwater love

The way I feel it

O que que é esse amor, d'água

Deve sentir muito parecido a esse amor

This is it

Underwater love

It is so deep

So beautifully liquid

Follow me now

To a place you only dream of

Before I came along.

Long time ago I heard this once while traveling in a cab and just fell in love with the song. In time the song faded in my memory and no matter how desperately I tried to hold on to it, it kept slipping away all the time.all that remained was a haunting melody that remained in some remote corner of my already remote mind. U don't remember enough to even hum a tune and you don't forget enough to let it go. Do you know how haunting and frustrating that feeling can be?

Years later during the New Year party of 2003(was 03, I believe) I was strolling down the park at Kochi, Marine Drive when I heard this in the loud speaker. It took me 5 mins of wild running to reach the record room. The guy didn't know the band nor the album. It took me another 10 mins of coaxing and bribing to make him part with the recorded CD.

The song has Portuguese/brazilian lyrics in between that sounds soo sexy!

Makes me want so desperately to find someone to fall in love:)

  1. Better man

Send someone to love me

I need to rest in arms

Keep me safe from harm

In pouring rain

Give me endless summer

Lord I fear the cold

Feel I'm getting old

Before my time

As my soul heals the shame

I will grow through this pain

Lord I'm doing all I can

To be a better man

Rest assured my angels

Will catch my tears

Walk me out of here

I'm in pain

As my soul heals the shame

I will grow through this pain

Lord I'm doing all I can

To be a better man

The only song that has made me cry(well, to be frank I was a bit boozed:D) and the only song for which I havent seen the album. This song is connected to an instance in my life that is pretty much the most painful thing that has ever happened to me. It always makes me sad, but I love to hear it.when I think I have flown too high for the day, it easily gets me back on earth.

  1. The DownEaster Alexa

.So I could own my Downeaster'Alexa'

And I go where the ocean is deep

There are giants out there in the canyons

And a good captain can't fall asleep

I've got bills to pay and children who need clothes

I know there's fish out there but where God only knows

They say these waters aren't what they used to be

But I've got people back on land who count on me

So if you see my Downeaster'Alexa'

And if you work with the rod and the reel

Tell my wife I am trawling Atlantis

And I still have my hands on the wheel

Now I drive my Downeaster'Alexa'

More and more miles from shore every year

Since they told me I can't sell no stripers

And there's no luck in swordfishing here

You complain you have long shifts? You complain your back pains from sitting in that cushioned chair in the air-cooled cubicle for too long?

Lets get on board the downeaster alexa mate, and start making a living for our families.

Billy Joel is my favourite Male Singer and this is my fav track of his…makes me want to do more for my family everytime I hear it:) Sometimes when I feel like a loser in life, I dream that one day, I will have my own downeaster alexa and I will sail into the setting sun, with the wind in my hair.thats what living would be for me:)

Theres my list!:) Wowy! Im already inspired.let me now go and start drawing Mona Lisa II.heck! wheres the gal? Mona? Moonnnaaaa. [eeks! wasnt trying to moan, sorry.]

guess shes gone.Anyways! Wont be around till  new year, havta leave now.

HNY06 to everyone(takes off hat and bows)

Till then folks, Be Inspired!

Inspiration Incorporated
Dec 20, 2005 05:31 PM 4924 Views

Inspiration is all about making you positive, more hopefilled and ready-t0-take on anybody, especially exams, interviews, difficult encounters.

to be god-honest-true(its a phrase of RED from The shawshank Redemption which is my latest love and most inspiring movie ever). I could write upto 50 songs which have inspired me at different times.

I really hate it when the topic is top10 or top5, usually toppers dont make much difference, what is no1 today goes no11 the next and so on. still let me see if I can control myself to just the most inspirant 5 or not.

yes I guess so, but it will be hindi songs only. Lets begin with the beginning

* not in the list. yeh safar, bahut hai kathiin magar, naa udaas ho mere humsafar. from 1942 a love story.

I added it after I was reminded of it by abha. I used to listen to it a lot in india, a very lovely song and very inspirational in its own right. wonderful words, inspiring examples and always cheers you up. Thank you abha.

1) Yudh kar.Yudh.

a song I would listen to on the runup to my exams and which I still listen to.

danke pe chot padi hai, samne fouj khadi hai(especially applicable when all your exams are one after another:))

kishan ne kahaaa arjun se. na pyaar jataa dushman se.

tere imtihan kii yeh ghadii hai,

samne maut khadii hai.

kishan ne kahaa arjun se.

makes me feel like arjun, and the music really leaves you on a high, . ahaaa, topper for all times I hope. lets see

2)yahaa ke hum sikandar. Jo jeeta woh sikandar.

aha, all amir khan fans would agree that this film and this song and pehla nasha were simply spirit lifting.

it tells me that even though I goofed up half of the year, I can still make it, ,

and remember, always, when you think you can. you always can. and you will.

a very nice song, but to get that feeling you need to hear this song.

3) kandho se kandhe milte hai. lakshya

a very inspiring song from start to end. the music, the words and the rhythm, all lift you up like anything.

hum aise jab chalte hai toh dil dushman ke hilte hai.wonderful words and wonderful music again. a must listen for all times I guess.especially when team work is required.

4)zindagi ki yahii reet hai. Mr.India

another superb movie, very colorful, very romantic, very imaginative on which I will write a review later on.

but this song I remember because I listen to it every time I go down.

and believe me, when its tough and hard, really nothing can console you. what it does is soothes a bit of pain, relieves you of a part of it maybe.so that the time you need to recover becomes shorter, and slowly props you up and makes you bright and hopeful once again.

zindagii raat bhi hai aur saveraa bhi hai zindagii

zindagi safar bhi hai aur baseraa bhi hai zindagii

ek pal dard kaa gaav hai, dusraa sukh bhari chaaav hai

har pal naya daav nayaa geet hai

zindagii ki yahii reet hai.

wonderful lines. I love it more than the topper here!

makes you accept and makes you hope, and hope is a magical thing I believe, can turn any tide if you strongly believe.  ( I hope I will write a review on 50 songs someday.)

5)yuhii chalaa chall. Swades.

This song is a must if you are journeying somewhere and making a career move/an interview/ or going to meet a very interesting person who could be your partner for life.

its a song I always carry on my mobile along with allah ke bande has de, just for the magic of ar rehman that it has.a woww song.

the beginning is so inspiring and so also the in between

baba sanii nidha babab hooo hoo woo . shrill sounds in between. you got to listen to it completely with both ears!

a very exciting song, full of promises and following your hearts desires.

this duniya is very haseen and very rangeen, and it has lots to inspire.

So,

Dont just sit there - upset and grudging and cursing just because you were dissapointing and disappointed for some reason. move on.

listen to the music. because it inspires and excites the best thing you have been gifted with. the biocomputer inbetween your ears. and then just do it to the best you can.

I would have listed a hundred more I guess.

from

dilber mere(satte pe satta).,

aisa jadoo(khakhee),

pyar mein kabhi kabhi's songs., to  jhankar beats-tu hai aasman toh,

and udi udii( saathiyaa.).,

to the tracks and music of Indian ocean and Strings.

but I cant write 100 naaa, its not fair to the topic givers!

these are the five I listen to presently and since a long time.they have been very effective so far.

happy listening! adios.

Oct 08, 2005 01:43 PM 7344 Views

HOPE and INSPIRATION are two of the greatest words.in the world, they are so powerful that they can lift up your sagging spirit, just the mention of these words makes me strong, ready to face the obstacles in life. These two words form the essence of life coz if you are hopeful u can acheive what you want wanf  and if you inspired, you will be more contented, peaceful and positive.just my thoughts. One can take INSPIRTION from anything.BIRDS, PLANTS, ANIMALS, CARDS, BOOKS, SEA, HUMAN BEINGS and SONGS of course. There have been some beautifully written songs, which have inspired us, filled us with hope at some point or the other.i too have my favourites, where I have found certain songs so inspiring.that they have remained in my memory for long, coz I beleive nothing speaks better than words. So here is my list of INSPIRATIONAL SONGS.

1.**'MAIN ZINDAGI KA SAATH NIBHATA CHALA GAYA

HAR FIKR KO DHUAY MAIN UDATA CHALA GAYA'**.

Whenever I think of inspirational songs, this song from HUM DONO comes to my mind first.its the most beautiful piece of poetry you will ever get to hear. The songs tells you how you have to keep moving in life.leaving your worries behind.Just get up and play this song in the morning, rest assured your day will go fine.

'GHAM AUR KHUSHI MAIN FARK NA MAHSOOS HO ZAHA

MAIN DIL KO US MAKAM PE LATA CHALA GAYA'*.very difficult to follow but very inspiring nevetherless, coz if you'll follow it you will be happy for eternity.

2.**RUK JANA NAHI TU KABHI HAR KE

KAATON PE CHAL KE  MILAGE SAAYA BAHAR KE.O RAHI O RAHI**!

What a song! This song  from IMTEHAAN can fill a dead person with hope.and courage to move on.I just love this song, and whenever I feel down and out I just sit and listen to this song and try to dwell upon what the song is conveying.I really like the line kaaton pe chal ke milege saaye bahar ke.

3.**ZINDAGI KE SAFAR MAIN GUZAR JAATE HAI JO MAKAM

WO PHIR NAHI AATE, WO PHIR NAHI AATE.*

This song from AAP KI KASAM.has got the most splendid https://lyrics.Just listen to it and you'll know and understand the value of life and most importantly the value of time.kyonki beeta hua waqt dobara nahi aata, and thats why I find this song inspiring. The song tells you the realities of life in the most simplest of ways.

'SUBAH AATI HAI, RAAT ZATI HAI SUNO

WAQT CHALTA HI REHTA HAI, RUKTA NAHI,

EK PAL MAIN YE AAGE NIKAL JAAT HAI

AADMI THEEK SE DEKH PAATA NAHI.AUR PARDE SE MANJAR NIKAL JAATA HAI'.brilliant.

4.**NADIYA CHLE CHALE RE DHARA

CHANDA CHALE CHALE RE TAARA

TUJHKO CHALNA HO GA

TUJHKO CHALNA HO GA**.

Whenever I listen to this song from SAFAR.i literally have tears in my eyes, such is the depth of this song. The way it was picturised in the film where RAJESH KHANNA and SHRMILA TAGORE are sitting near the sea, and Rajesh Khaana is upset coz he gets to know he is suffering from cancer.and this song starts playing in the background can bring tears to the eyes of most toughest of person.

5.**'YE SAFAR BAHUT HAIN KATHIN MAGAR

NA UDHAS HO MERE HUMSAFAR'*

Another of those inspiring song from 1942 A LOVE STORY.which is sure to lift your spirit. The songs is very beautifully written by who else JAVED AKHTAR.and tells you how the journey of life however tough, will see you through.

~I'm 'Inspired'~
Oct 02, 2005 02:19 PM 11244 Views

We get our ‘inspirations’ from all nooks and corners…. then why should music stay behind? A lot of times music has pulled people out of depression! I have one straight philosophy: ‘you can get inspiration from anywhere, provided you’re in the right state of mind to absorb it’! So I have my list of song which inspire me no end…. And I’d love to share them with you. So… here goes………

  1. AASHAYEIN……(Iqbal):  You might be surprised to find such a relatively new song, right up here! But don’t be…. This is one song that I can go on hearing for like eternity and yet not be over with it! There are not too many lyrics and only the word ‘aashayein’ keeps repeating all the time! And it is one of those very few songs that can ‘fill the moment’…. If you know what I  mean! Wonderfully sung by Kay Kay….

      • My fave lines: “Aashayein khile dil ki, ummedein hase dil ki…. ab mushkil nahin kuch bhi, nahin kuch bhi”

  2. KAL HO NAA HO……(Kal Ho Naa Ho):  I think most of you will agree with me on this one! A song that makes you reflect on life, and makes you want to live every moment to the fullest…. ‘coz kya pata… ‘kal ho na ho’! The wonderful lyrics are ably supported by some great music by Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy…… and some beautiful singing by Sonu Nigam!

      • My fave lines: “har pal yahan jee bhar jeyo, jo hai sama kal ho na ho”

  3. HAAN YEHI RASTA HAI TERA……(Lakshya):  …And I’m Javed Akhtar’s fan! Wow what lyrics man! And yet another Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy creation! Its one song that pushes you towards all your possible dreams! It gives you the conviction that they can be fulfilled! Very very inspiring….

      • My fave lines: “Himmat se jo, koi chale…. Dharti hile, kadmon tal…. Tu chal yun hi ab subha shaam, rukna jhukna nahin           tera kaam, payega jo lakshya hai tera”

  4. AASMAN KE PAAR SHAYAD……(Fame Gurukul finalists):  This song should be heard by even the non-followers of Fame Gurukul…. It plays every once in a while on sony entertainment television! The lyrics are toh inspiring only… but it has also been sung so beautifully by each and every one…. And the video is also really pleasing to the eye! Its better than the Indian Idol song ‘Pal’!

      • My fave lines: “Aasman ke paar shayad, aur koi aasman hoga…. badalon ke parbatoon par, koi barish ka mukaam hoga’

5.   KANHON SE MILTE HAIN KANDHE….(Lakshya):  Another one from lakshya, and both are justified in the list! This one is more about boosting the team spirit rather than the individual…. but both are equally inspiring! The video in the song was touching….

      • My fave lines: “Ab jo bhi ho, shola banke patthar hai pighlana, ab jo bhi ho, badal banke parbat par hai chhana”

So those were the inspirations…. but some others that I had to leave out with a heavy heart….

-‘chal diye… na socha, na samjha, na pucha… bas chal diye’

-‘Jahan ho pyar ka mausam, jahan sab dilon ka ho snagam’

-‘Humko toh hai pura yakeen, hum jaisa koi nahin’

-‘Baar baar haan, bolo yaar haan, apni jeet ho… unki haar haan’

-‘Oh mitwa. sun mitwa, tujhko kya dar hai re, yeh dharti apni hai, apna ambar hai re’

-‘Dil hai chhota sa, chhoti si asha’

-‘Zindagi ka safar, hai yeh kaisa safar’
