I ordered a product from this site a week back. When tried to call them nobody picked up. I finally get a response after two days that too I called and they tell me that my order has been cancelled. I did not get any communication from them about my order being cancelled. And I haven't got back my money yet.
Anybody reading this review, don't buy from fabmart.
Back when I was in India, needed a whole lot of accessories and vanity stuff. Googled it and ordered some stylers and curlers. Awesome deals I got and pretty interestng items on sale. The only sort of glitch I faced was the wait for 3 days that the products took to be delivered to where I was staying.
Nevertheless very impressed and amused at the kind of products I received. With the rate at which ecommerce in india is growing Amazon and ebay must pull up their socks.
Good job done by fabmart. Kudos!

The product description on fabmart is really cool.They describe it very short but very crisp and clear. It is not dumped with hell lot of unnecessary info like other sites do. They are very straight to the point. Also, for accessories they do advise what to wear with and all that.

Every time I order something from fabmart, I receive it within 2 days, at max 3 days. And the best part is if you don't want to pay online, you can make your package get delivered to your nearby stores and collect it from there with cash payment.
My first online purchase through fabmart. And it is not as excepted. Good experience it is. the sexy clutch I ordered come in a plastic cover. Although it doesn't look exactly like in pictures, but it looks awesome.

Needed an mp3 player, a samsung one. But this site had a transcend one. Loved the option of 8GB memory size. Ordered it now and waiting for the delivery.

Quite amazing response I got from fabmart. Must say they are good at delivering on time. the website design was also simple and nice.
Also, liked the way the call was handled, mature and sober.
Was planning to make my anniversary day special and thought of giving my wife a gift. Searched and seaerched and searched and finally ended up with fabmart.com you guys should check out their simple website layout which is very nice. It was easy to check the site out and I also found Carlton sandals matched perfectly to my requirement. Ordered it on cash on delivery and received it within a week.
It made my anniversary special.
I come from Madanapalle which is a town in Andhra Pradesh. I buy goods from time to time from other websites and also from the companies that advertise through newspaper offers. I normally do not write reviews, but just wanted to share my experience with others from small towns.
FabMart.com is run by a friend of a friend and I was told that its developed keeping customers from towns in mind. I was curious and ordered a Nokia C5 05. Everything from confirmation to delivery was a breeze. They have something called Local store collect. Essentially, it is as fast as normal courier (not dead slow like COD to small towns) and lets you pick up goods from one of your local retailers. You can pay for the product after you take delivery.
The product arrived in 4 days time as opposed to 2 weeks that it normally takes as compared to other websites.The website is very very fast, which makes it for ideal browsing in small towns.
Definitely recommend them!
I placed an order online on their website, and they sent me an email asking me to send my credit card details by email. They said it was for my security. Idiots don't know anything about online security. They expect me to send credit card details by email. They never processed my order. I ended up wasting time. When I send a mail to customer service they didn't even read it, just sent a canned reply every time I replied. Thie is the worst online shopping website I've seen. Do not buy from here as they have no clue about online transactions. Not secure and your credit card details will be in danger. Also very bad customer service. They redirected me to the same idiot who kept asking me for my credit card by email, and they even said that my mails won't be read by customer service.
My hsbc gold card has been used to deduct INR 2500 for some purchase, however I don't recall doing any such transaction on 23rd April 2006 as stated in my statement. It simply states ' Internet shopping ( FABM Bangalore ). Can someone give me an explanation? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? since I hv to put in at least 150 words, I am forced to write more. I feel that the if u use the credit card else where then these guys just spy the info thru some soft ware n use it to their advantage. it is really shocking to know tt u r not safe at any given time n with all these gudgets, these people can do any thing thet want. in future, I wl think 10 times b 4 using my card on inter net. cm on dear I dont know what to type any more as I am very slow in typing. I just pray n hope tt some thing is done abt it as not many people voice their anger.
My shopping list: Around five books ordered over a period of three weeks, all fiction (all SF, including a graphic novel).
My experience: Four of the five books were delivered within a week of placing the order. For the fifth book, I received an email from Fabmall informing me that the books was out of stock and they were trying to identify alternate sources. A week later, I received another email informing me that they have been unable to source the book and that my payment would be refunded. I got my refund in three days.
On the whole, I am very satisfied with their service. While they have a pretty extensive range of titles on offer, I wish a lot more would be on the shorter delivery schedule (3-5 days, as opposed to 30 days). Also, like amazon, discounted prices and other offers would be very welcome! Highly recommended.
First, I request Mouthshut.com to change it to Fabmall.com.
This was my first experience with Fabmall.com, and I placed an order for two T-shirts to be delivered as a birthday gift to my brother. Obviously they offered a service called, deliver on a specific date with special message. The transaction was smooth as they accept payment from online bank direct debit.
BUT.......... it's been three weeks since my brother's birthday, the shipment has not yet been shipped from fabmall.com. Of course everytime I write to them my grievance, they reply promptly saying that they are doing all that they can. It seems this the best they could offer.
I have been doing some shopping at gobookshopping.com, which even offers they facility to pay when the product is delivered. When compared for their service, fabmall.com sucks. Every other online shopping sites I have used so far offers a service far better than Fabmall.com
Online shoppers, please stay away from fabmall.com unless you have your whole time to write grievance to the people at Fabmall.com
I've had horrible experience ordering books from fabmall. First was when I ordered a photography book from fabmall that showed shipping in 3-4 weeks as it had to be imported from outside India. I waited for 45 days after ordering the book but nothing showed up. I gave them another chance by ordering a book that showed 3-4 days shipping. This time again the book wasn't shipped. When I enquired with customer support they told me that the book was out of stock and they would have to order it from outside India and that it would take 3-4 weeks for the same. Again, I cancelled my order and placed it with amazon. With amazon the books arrive in less than fifteen days but I don't have the option of using my ICICI/HDFC bank account. But thats alright. Its better to deal with a honest shop than a scamster like fabmall. I cancelled my order six days back and am still waiting for my refund!!
I had my worst shopping experience with FabMart.com. They list items they don't have. I wasted my last 6weeks ordering a washing machine and hoping that it would arrive.
This shop is run by people who have no regard for customer satisfaction. They have finally agreed after a lot of emails and phone calls to cancel the order and return my money. Can you believe it? It took them 6 weeks to come to the conclusion that they don't have and will never have the item in stock.
The cancellation email they sent me read ''....Hope you had a wonderful experience shopping with us and would continue to shop with us in the future''.....yeah right!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I will be the last person on this planet to go back to FabMart.com again.

I had earlier shopped with fabmart.com while I was in India 3 years ago and had enjoyed an excellent service then. Recently I had ordered a washing machine as a gift for my father-in-law through fabmall.com.
They had assurred that the product would be delivered within two weeks. They were prompt in debiting my credit card. However, even after four weeks the product is yet to be delivered. They don't bother to keep the customer informed of the status through email. I am totally frustrated.
When I called then a week ago they said that now I would not be able to cancel the order and assurred me that the product would be delivered by this weekend. If the product is still not delivered I would file a complaint with my credit card company and am also considering filing a criminal complaint in the event that the product is not delivered and they don't refund my money.
They can't expect to take us for a ride and get away with it!!!!!!!!!!!
I wanted to gift my wife a dress on her birthday and I had placed an order with fabmall from US and I also called up and confirmed with them multiple times and in the site they have updated that it is shipped on 5-feb - I was happy, but it never reached my wife till the day before her birthday and when I call up they said it is not yet shipped and I am not sure if they will ever ship the material. It is really a very bad experience.
I am writing this to warn people using Fabmall. If you ever read this please be aware that timeliness is absolutely not their culture and only thing is you can hope your things come intact and right things arrive. Which is what I am hoping still. I made the mistake of not checking the review before placing the order and now I am paying for it.
I had made a purchase from fabmall the current fabmart and it was the worst experience ever. I wanted a gold earring set to be shipped to new delhi on nov 6th and guess what... it is almost a month and I'm told by the folks at fabmall that they have no control on the delivery process and they don't even know how long it is going to take before they even ship the stuff out.
Can it be worse than this? They tell me that it is the manufacturer who has to ship it as soon as possible. Their website shows that products like these are usually shipped in 14 days and we are nearing a month in my case. This was meant to be a birthday gift, I'm sure it will reach the person by next birthday! I guess that's not funny! but that's just the way it is! Sending things to India .
I guess rediff or indiatimes are far better options.
Now, ask me about their customer service, they have just one phone no in b'lore which is engaged 99% of times. And the guy there just says he has no information all the time. He just apologizes for the delay and guess his job is done there.
