After Sales Service

Faber India is one among the many who do not value customers after they sell their products. Though they have some of the best cooking ranges in the market (there are many more premium Italian kitchen ranges that Faber sells abroad) the Indian counterpart lack in after sale support.


Faber India has outsourced the work to some 3rd parties and they have the typical Indian attitude of 'take it or leave it' when it comes to after sale service, especially in Pune. Though you may find the customer care center registering your complaint promptly, they pass it on to some local untrained servicing partners.


In my case, the technician came in to clean and service the cooking range and spoiled 2 of the automatic ignition lighters. On reporting the problem to the customer care center, they are not ready to attend to this problem for the last 5-6 months. Repeated complaints are of no use.


Moreover the technicians do not come with any identity proof to show that they are Faber staff/trained technicians.


Considering the quality of service and response from the company, I would not recommend Faber India for cooking ranges.

Still not clear if this product can work solely as an electric oven.  and if so, how do you set the oven on electric mode without using gas..


We had called for a demo, but know one turned up. someone from Faber with zero product knowledge installed it and left. Now, when we are still seeking help and it is been a good 3 years. They say we need to pay for the demo.


An Oven without a good temperature control!?

I bought this oven over 1 year back. I found it working well initially. Over time though I found that the temperature did not increase to what I wanted it to reach - I set it at the highest, but it did not go over 180Deg C. I managed by inserting the cookie sheet rack at the top effectively reducing the size of the oven. I reported to the Faber and they sent a technician who was trained to handle...chimneys!


He probably did not know anything about temperature - he said that it is heating and left!It should be a simple recalibration I think - but need the correct technician.


Will I suggest this to another person - definitely a big No! Faber has very poor service for these products and they should stop selling it. The manual I received is a very poor translation - does not make any sense.
