Extreme Denial - David Morrell

The author of this book, David Morell, is popularly known for the bestselling novel First Blood. His first book was the reason why I wished to read his other books.

This book however, is more of a romantic novel with a twist. It is a far cry from First Blood. The story revolves around an intelligence operative who falls for a mysterious woman only to discover that she has a dark past. The protagonist Steve ends up being unprepared for everything. As the plot thickens, the characters discover more about each other.

The book is easy to read and more of a onetime read. In the middle the story gets a bit monotonous with too much mindless violence. Morell has surely made the characters believable and despite of the fact that the story is not too powerful, his writing compensates for that. Overall it is an entertaining, action packed love story worth reading.
