Well, here it goes. I stayed here for
almost two months in this place. A pretty long time to stay in a
hotel. But then I had my reasons. Its on 19 Connector Road, running
parallel to the main highway to Boston and just about a mile and a
half to the Interstate 495. Service and rooms are good but for an
Indian on the higher side. but then here in the USA, its pretty
standard. The lowest corporate rate I got, $59.99 per day. Wi-Fi
costs$4.99 for the entire duration of your stay, be it a day or two
months. You get a studio room with a kitchenette, a big bathroom with
a decent sized tub. Rooms are done once every week. I was not
particularly happy with that. But then I do not mess my room to that
extent.
Be warned, if you arrive in the winter
months, you gotta deal with a lot of static electricity that builds
up pretty fast when you walk its carpeted corridors. And you can get
a nasty jolt(depends on whether you are prepared for it) sometime
when you reach for door knobs or metal doors. The hotal has smoking
and non-smoking rooms and they are armed with water sprinklers rigged
to smoke detectors. There are even carbon monoxide detectors. Shelf
space for cooking essentials and other groceries is enough. Plus you
get 2 sets of cutlery, plates, tumblers. There is a king sized
refrigerator that helped keep my beers chilled. There is a nice
relaxing sofa that actually elongates if you do too. Ironing board,
iron, clothes rack are standard amenities. The TV is a letdown with
all the other good things. A 21 inch Magnavox set thats not even
flatscreen.think of it. But the channels are good. They even show
Zee TV.can you believe it. Reminds me of TATA Sky and makes me
wonder why they pulled the FTA off their network.
Something about the neighborhood. About
100 mt away is the Picadilly Pub. A great place to have American
dinners with mashed potatoes with cheese and grilled Angus steaks. I
just loved them. Look to your left from the pub and you see a wine
shop and a pizzeria about 200 mts away. I got my beer suppies from
there.the place owned by an Indian desi and manned by two jolly
Sardar gentlemen. Thats about it. Anything else, get a car or hitch a
ride. Do not think of walking.coz if you are brave and start
walking, it will take a good 30-40 mins to get to the nearest
shopping area.
Have fun.
