The trendy backdated mobile!
Sep 29, 2004 12:55 AM3129 Views

I decided to own this mobile after winning the auction from baazee.com.For the present era, it was certainly a bit backdated mobile in the days when one one flashes colour mobile with cam.

It was the flap and the blue colour that prompted me to own this mobile T10Sc.

Its a basic mobile with GSM features.Just 2 line screen, and a flap that covers the key pad.It has a vibratory feature, and loud ring. One can compose his own ringtone, but I have not yet tried it.

Games feature is not present. Also ringtones or logo cannot be downloaded.

The voice quality is excellent.Even in crowded places or traffic areas one can hear clearly. Moreover the voice transmision I believe is also clear, the person on the other side cannot make out if I am in a meeting or in a crowded place.

T10Sc has an additional feature of voice dialing i.e one can prompt a number to dial after calling by his name!!Ofcourse one needs to store the number along with the voice recording of his name. The eliminates the need to dial, and makes dialing very easy. This is a feature that stands out as compared to other GSM mobile features.

The only drawback is it cannot always identify the name called by another person other than the cellphone owner for voice dialing. But as a security, this works out as an advantage.

Go for it if you are concerned of voice dialing, flaps, and sound quality. Moreover it is very easy to use, so it is appropriate for someone who is not comfortable with complicated mobile features.

please note the writer knows what he is talking about. He already owns Nokia 5110, Nokia 3310, MotorolaT90, and earlier used Ericcson GA628/GH628

Cheap and good..

I used this phone for one year and put it through everything, it went everywhere with me, if I went bike riding it was in my pocket, night clubbing, it was in my pocket, etc.. The vibrator is quite strong which means I never missed a call, the sound quality, I think, is the best of phones of its generation. In my opinion the nokia phones sound a bit like you are talking to a computer. Things that can be annoying however are the buttons are hard to press, antenna is also a bit annoying.. But it survived many times being dropped (even from waist height onto concrete) and continues to function even without flip. It is also small enough to take in your pocket everywhere you go without any inconvenience. I would recommend it as a cheap but durable phone.

Ok I have been told to include more information about the phone: (technical data is available from the Ericcson website). It has a 3 line screen, not many add-on software features, just the basics of a GSM phone, SMS, phone book with space for 99 people, alarm clock (which you have to re-enable each time you want to use it, doesn't remain on after going off), volume keys on the side of the phone so you can easily turn the volume up and down whilst chatting, battery life indicator which didn't work very well for me (it would always be full and then all of a sudden jump to empty and start beeping. That was also another annoying thing about this phone, even when in silent mode if the battery was low it would make a very loud beeping noise. I would have expected it to remain silent). It has the ability to put in new ring tones by hand (I never did it, too much effort), and has an inactive flip (ie. if the flip breaks (like mine did) then the phone still works fine. The keylock feature (where if a key is pressed nothing happens, good for when it is in your pocket) is also included in the software so if you want to use it with out a flip you can still put it in your pocket and not worry about getting a massive phone bill if buttons are accidently pressed and your phone makes a call.

Cute but overpriced.

Recently there was an 25% discount offer on T10 at SIFY Mall, the phone is small trendy and cute but the buck stops here , too small for comfortable use it has poor sound quality.Even at 25% discount it is overpriced with the features it offers. The Ericsson T10 is good as fashion accessory but for a serious user it offers too little at a high price I would not recommend a price more than Rs 4500/- for this phone.
