El Posto, Karkardooma, Delhi NCR

Known for its out of the world desserts, El Posto happens to be the best places to be at if you want to bring a smile on that someone special’s face. Although a little too expensive, given the small portion sizes in most of the cases, the taste makes up for everything that you might be wondering before your order arrives. This however begins from the moment you enter this place. Although, its not some fine dining option, the kind of desserts you get here is way beyond the others in business in terms of taste and presentation. A lot of times I’ve gifted my friends and family their assorted dessert selections and they still keep talking about them.

For those who love garlic breadsticks, the one with Mozarella cheese is to die for. Coming to the desserts, the Hot Chocolate Fudge and Chocolate Bomb are the ones impossible to get over. There’s so much rich chocolate inside and out and come on, who doesn’t like chocolate. Among the shakes, you can go for the Roman Punch and the pastry shake. Not that the others aren’t great but these are the ones I’ve fallen for.

If there’s a birthday among friends and family, I look nowhere but El Posto for their awesome cakes with some wonderfully presented icing and the way they design the names etc., is simply great. You don’t really need to tell them anything as to how you want the birthday cake to look like. They ask you their age, gender and occupation and get it just perfect.

The food is surprisingly good and the mocktails are near perfect too . The staff although courteous but is a bit uninformed bout the cakes n slices available down below . The eating section above has a nice ambience and the all white interior is nicely done and heart warming.

We started with the Bruchettas, which were amazing! Bruschetta Con Funghi, topped with mushroom and cheese, tastes great and is really likable even if you don’t generally like mushrooms. Bruschetta Chicken Arabiatta is spicy and tangy. Veg chimichange and Non-veg Burritos are really filling and taste great. ‘El Posto Special’ pizza with Spinach, Feta and Mushrooms as toppings is really nice. Italian Smooch(which has ginger flavour to it) and Spicy Tamarind Cooler(which is tangy, with a hint of spiciness) are very good. We tried Red Velvet Pastry, Philadelphia Cheesecake, Banoffee Pie and Milk Chocolate Pastry.

All the 4 desserts were great. The Red Velvet Cake is one of the best available in Delhi, yet is really affordable.
