I really wonder how a private establishment can work this way. I have ordered items from U.S and Europe several times before and never faced harrasment like this.


My shipment shows stuck at customs since 1 week.


Had it been a normal post I could go down to the customs office and clear it myself.


However with DHL involved things are not moving at all. They give the same update every single time and I really repent having paid more to get the shipmey via DHL.


Please be warned. They are bunch of cheats. Do not use their shitty service.

As all the other reviewers say, they're pretty terrible. I'm surprised they're still in business actually. Your delivery will probably be late, they'll overcharge you and you'll be incredibly stressed at the whole ordeal. They are actually fairly good when you call them(sometimes) but everything else is bad.

Very pathetic service DHL having, i have ordered material from Japan to Pune, material despatch on 20Jan and on 22jan morning it was in custom, DHL person sending me one and one documents on email after 2 days gap, he should send me all besic documents in one shot.


Also if I am calling on customer care so they don't have any proper solution, they are just saying that we have forwarded your query, but no reference number of complaint number thy are giving.


After long wait they have sent only one box , now they said another box will send in 2 days as we don't have place for shipment.


Very inproper and pathetic service DHL having , Government delivery service is also more better than DHL.

I have used it one time in my life and the only con of that case was that they were really expensive assuming order amount overall. How can we compete with such things there? I do not even see what to do with that clearly? Can we?

Downright the worst post service I have ever encountered(I've lived in Portugal, the U.K. and Germany). Since arriving in Hamburg, I've almost never got a DHL package. It's so bad that since January last year I started tracking deliveries vs. failed deliveries. It sounds OCD, but I wouldn't believe the scale of it.


Here's what statistics from a company that simply doesn't care about their customers look like: out of 70 Amazon deliveries, 5 got delivered to my home. 55 I got a notice saying they'd attempted delivery and no one was home(out of which 26 I had been home the whole day, and 13 one of my neighbours was home to pick it up). 2 got lost, and no one knows what happened. And 8 I didn't even get a notice, and had instead to ask all three local pick-up depots.


Thanks for the zero quality and service, DPD. You make the world a worst place.

I wish there could be negative ratings for DHL. If so it would have given MINUS 5 rating . Extremely disappointed from DHL services.


They took the entire shipping charges and what they delivered was 47 kgS less stating that these are not allowed items.


Dhl person came for packing where he did not mentioned anything. While purchase also I asked but they did not mentioned anything .


When I came abroad they mentioned 47 kgs cannot be send.I asked refund for both shipping charges and cost for items not send .they mentioned it's volumetric so the shipping charges cannot be returned .finally they told that they would refund for items not send. It had been more than 2 months , still no refund .everytime they add newreason that they need additional discount before sending refund or some one reason .


Tooooo horrible services. I would recommend to take additional baggage rather than sending shipment from DHL.

DHL service is really worst. I will not suggest this courier company to my enemy as well.


They always try to rip off the customer. My personal experience is I was on Gatwick airport while visit to UK. I was having over luggage while coming back to India so Emirates suggested me to send one bag through courier services because that bag was heavy. I booked door to door services from UK company. They charged me £213 for only one bag of 21 kgs. They promised me door to door service. Accordingly I was not charged any custom charges or the ware house charges as I provided them with all the documents promptly. There were only clothes and papers in the bag. so there was no custom charges. But DHL here is now not releasing my bag, only because they want to extract Rs.3600 additional charges from me. When I asked them why I need to pay that, they started giving me lame answers that they are custom charges, ware charges which I already knew that they are nil. Ridiculously bad service .please don't go for DHL services. No customer support at all.

Guys do not opt this courier service they will delay your parcel nearly months time. I have been uploading all the correct documents but still they will keep delaying stating this document is not accurate. This document verbatim is not as per standards and it is crossing the margin lines cutting the heading etc. This service is full of crap. I suggest opt FedEx service they are far far far better than DHL. I wanted to give negative rating since it is not available I am. Giving 1

Worst service experience ever!!!


They keep on delaying your parcel, its been 4 months and my parcel is not deliver yet, even after lots of messages and phone calls they take you lightly and didn’t guide you properly about what is going on?


One employee said it would be 2 days even after paying all customs and everything and second day other employee said it would be 7 days. Still my parcel is not delivered.


Please do not waste your money by trusting them!

I don't know how to describe their service. simply I can say, disgusting...other local courier services are far and far better than DHL services. No consistency in DHL service. If it is an International courier, then forgot about it.

DHL has one of the worst services in India, their clearing agents are the most dumb professional I have ever encountered.


They can't even get a$20 parcel get cleared from the custom officer, they will ask you 1000s of documents to process your request.


Just stay away from them.

It tokk 8 days to clear the shipment from DHL office Delhi, and total 21 days for me to receive from China offcourse its air shipment. I could have received by ship by then.


I lost big order because of DHL. wishing you all business people dont loose the business because of DHL

Summary: If think DHL would take care of the hassles involved in International Shipping, then you are mistaken. They have not intention of guiding you through the process in case of any hiccups, and they don't say what is needed and what needs to be furnished. You might as well deal with the customs dept directly, I have dealt with customs in the past, they are much more reasonable and understanding than DHL staff.


Long Story:


I bought a Graphic Card from Amazon India, last year(2018). The card subsequently stop working, and I raised a RMA request with AMD India.


The approved my request, got my broken card and shipped a new one from Hong Kong.


Now, unfortunately it was shipped with DHL and instead of shipping to the service center and then shipping it to me, for some unfathomable reason they shipped directly to me.


Initially a woman from DHL contacted me to get the KYC details, she was polite and guided me through the whole process. I was happy so far and KYC was successfully submitted.


The nightmare started, when a "Clearance Specialist" named "Mark Donald .V " contacted me, who was supposed to be my liason to the Customs department. He said that the Card I RMAed is valued at a whopping "$6999" in India, now mind you, the card is being sold in India for Rs.59000/- right now, and even when I bought it last year it was sold for Rs 75000/-, I am pretty sure they missed a "." somewhere, it should be "$699.9" not "$6999", even when it was released it was officially sold in US for "$650".


Anyway, I furnished the Original Bill from Amazon Seller to them, and hoped this would sort it out.


But alas I was wrong, the Customs dept was looking for a letter from me to request lowering the estimated price. Now I have prior experience in drafting such a letter and I request the DHL team to tell what exactly should I provide, like for instance, should it be a "physical letter", " email" or a "scanned copy", also what are the information to be provided. He didn't answer any of my question, he simply replied he need a "letter".


I assumed a formal letter with details like bill number, rma number and product serial number along with the request to lower the amount would be suffice. So I drafted such a mail and sent it through email. This happened 20 days ago.


He replied last week asking me why I am getting the card to my home address while the bill has a office address. I explained that it was bought by my Brother in law and as given to me later.For this he asked me to draft and send another letter. So I sent him the same.


Now after 20 days, he said that these letters should contact my signature. This got me frustrated, because I asked him those questions earlier about the letter, because I wanted to avoid these kind of delays. I called the customer care, the support team blamed one because, they expect me to know what is needed in the letter.Had they mentioned to me that they needed a scanned letter, I would done so with a signature. Even so, they received my letter 20+ days ago, they had able time to respond to me that wasn't what they were looking for and needs some corrections.


Again, today I took a print of these letters, signed them, scanned them and sent it to them again. I just got an automated mail, no response as usual from the support team.But I wanted to make sure, I am not missing anything, so mailed them again to check my letter.


Only after that, they replied to me saying that the letter needs to contain "AWB" number as well. Again I had to do the whole print out and scanning process to sent the letter for the 4th time.


Even Indian Postal Service does a great job in Customs clearance, I have dealt with Postal Service and Customs department a few times, and I have to tell you, they are very polite reasonable and tell you exactly what documents are needed. These Clearance agents, seem to do nothing but sit on their desks and forward the mails between customs and customer.


My Shipment still hasn't cleared, and I am not sure if it ever will.


DHL Fraud Company | Never Book International Ship

DHL Fraud Company| Never Book International Shipment with them| DHL will say Shipment is Stuck with Custom Clearance Event even though all requested document submitted| Not providing any Indian Customs document| Asking additional$70 to return the shipment else threatning they will destroy the shipment.


If you want this kind of customer service sure go ahead and get harrased by these folk, luckly my package item was not costly and I dont really bother anymore, but I want to expose they international shipment tactics to extract money.


Sent a hard drive from USA to INDIA(Delhi) with some wedding data, DHL says the package is detained by Delhi Customs and DHL is asking$70(non duty etc) to be paid in order to process the return shipment and not providing any document from Indian Customs

Never ever again. Pay few bucks extra and ship with Fedex.

I really have no words about DHL when it comes to the phase of Customer satisfaction, responses and custom clearance. They are just worst in all of these, They almost held up an impost from UK at the customs gate for 2 weeks then a hierarchy from my office got to meet the officer and cleared it then and there only. When a lame person without influence is able to release the product being a fame company they cant do it, It's just because of irresponsibility . Bangalore DHL team worst. Customer support team has no updates with them, they instead question us back. The previous shipment with them took literally 1 month for custom clearance and delivery.

They harass mentally to customer rather than communicate directly the with shipper. I am almost ready to give up. so pissed off with this people. its a largest logistic company worldwide but they dont know the custom procedure of different country.
