Rabbi Rabb da Banda
Apr 22, 2007 07:22 AM1244 Views

Hooray for Rabbi once again. Ever since his Bulla Ki Janna Mein Kaun and Ek Kudi ihad been waiting for this comet to strike again and like all good things one gets to savour his golden voice in little bursts every once in a while. it is almost like the delectable taste of mangoes in summer. One can never have ones fill and all too soon summer is gone and monsoons and autumn and winter follow. But hooray for Rabb too for he knows how to reward his mortals - its ummer once again.

Those of us who grew up on Kishore Kumar and SD Burman and RD Burman melodies find it difficult to deal with the nasal tones of a present day crooner but life is fair as ever and Rabbi pops up every now and again like the juicy, succulent, aromatic and ooh so enticing mango of summer heights.

more power to ou Rabbi - keep it going. This album is a must have and also will live forever in the veins of all of us to love good unadulterated music.

That's Rabbi for you!

I just love Rabbi’s voice and compositions …his first song was just great. It was unique and he is a very gifted artist, so when I saw songs sung by him in this album, I was naturally interested in listening it.Also this movie features Neha Dhupia and Jimmy Shergill in roles based in Delhi.Once I heard, there is a song in this movie on Delhi which can be called Delhi Anthem! Anyway, this album has six songs…namely

1.Dilli…by Rabbi Shergill…is just great, its hummable, makes sense and Rabbi’s voice is just great.

2.Tere bin…by Rabbi Shergill. This is a song which was earlier in his private album which has been incorporated in this album and movie. This is a song in Punjabi but sung with great passion and if one doesn't know the language, even then anybody can enjoy it.

3.Kabhi aana na…by Rabbi Shergill and Amit Sana.Amit has sung this song in his unique voice. Its nice to see people coming from TV competitions , singing songs in movies otherwise sometimes these folks just disappear in anonymity.

4.Kitni der tak…by Rabbi Shergill and Sonu Nigam.Rabbi himself has good voice and he has taken very good singers for his compositions. His compositions are hep still hummable. This is a very ‘realistic” song which describes what occurs between a love lorn couple especially these days these times!

5.Salim Shahzada…from Aa ja Nachle album.More or less , all songs are in Punjabi, no wonder so much fun loving Punjabis live in Delhi.Beats are good and its basically a Punjabi song.I am not able to understand the song as I don’t know Punjabi well, but seems like good hummable number.

6.Ey gori (Holi)…by Kailash Kher and Sonu Kakkar. Its a Holi song , I think I have heard this song in some Bhojpuri album. Its a Bhojpuri Holi song which is again enjoyable.

All in all it’s a great album which Rabbi has given for first time.Great going!Bravo! Its in full Delhi mood.

Thanks for reading my review.
