Avoid DecorPot for Modular Solutions – Here's Why

Our experience with DecorPot for our new flat has been extremely disappointing. If you're considering their services, I strongly suggest you reconsider. Here's why:

Misleading Pricing

DecorPot's pricing initially looks attractive, but beware! Their sales team deliberately underestimates the area to show lower costs in the quotation. For example, Mr. Amit quoted ₹2 lakhs for our kitchen, but the actual cost escalated to ₹3 lakhs.

Unskilled Designers

The design team lacks practical knowledge. Our assigned designer, Deepika, made multiple errors in measurements and design, causing significant delays and frustration. Their senior designer, Darshika, displayed a poor attitude and offered no real solutions to fix the issues.

Lack of Communication

A major oversight occurred when they failed to inform us that certain lofts would only include frames, not complete units. They later claimed it was mentioned in the document, but they never communicated this critical detail to us. In the end, we were left with no solution, just an apology.

Quality Issues and False Promises

The final product was far from what was shown in their 3D drawings. For instance, the kitchen finish had noticeable gaps despite their promise of a smooth look. When confronted, they made excuses rather than addressing the problem.

Limited Options

Their material and color options are very limited. For example, they offer very few choices in mica, glass, and louver colors, which limits customization.

Lack of Accountability

Whenever we raised concerns, the team tried to convince us instead of resolving the issues. Darshika, the senior designer, blamed the sales team for the problems while defending her colleague Deepika. However, the mistakes clearly stemmed from the design team's poor execution.

In conclusion, DecorPot has left us with an incomplete and subpar experience. If you value your time, money, and peace of mind, I strongly recommend avoiding their services.

This was our second experience with Decorpot, and it has been nothing short of a never-ending nightmare. Despite a huge investment of approx Rs. 18 lakh for our 2 BHK(excluding the kitchen), the service was unprofessional and chaotic. We chose Decorpot based on rectifications of the past experience & assurances that they would provide a better experience this time. Unfortunately, that promise was not fulfilled. Some key Issues faced were:

1. Project Delays: We began the project in November 2023, and as of August 29, 2024, it remains incomplete. The timeline has stretched far beyond what was promised, with no clear end in sight. We had two standalone changes to the design(change of cupboard doors), while the rest was entirely their responsibility. However, they made it seem as though the delays were because of these changes we made.

   
   




2. Lack of Accountability: Before signing the agreement, we clearly outlined a few specific requirements and emphasized that we would only proceed if they could handle them. While they agreed during the sales process, the reality was quite different. Our designer consistently forgot our requirements, leading to numerous revisions and unnecessary rework. We have even spent multiple days from morning till evening at the office, explaining our needs & getting things clarified. Despite the project manager making some efforts, the overall coordination between teams was severely lacking.

   
   




3. Poor Communication: Communication was a significant issue throughout the project. We often had to chase responses, with weeks passing without updates unless we initiated contact. Even when we were assured that issues would be addressed, the same mistakes were repeated or just ignored. We've even gone to the office to address our concerns because we would not get any response on Whatsapp/calls.

   
   




4. Lack of Creativity: The designer relied heavily on Pinterest for design ideas, showing a lack of originality and initiative. Instead of providing creative solutions tailored to our needs, we found ourselves guiding the design process—something we expected a professional designer to handle.

   
   




5. Subpar Work and Lack of Responsibility: The quality of work was extremely disappointing, with damages to our walls(totally unnecessary due to lack of understanding of the requirement), and quite a few execution errors(false ceiling incorrectly done & redone, CNC idol colour incorrect & redone, wrong dimensions in the design that were rechecked by us before execution, wrong sizing of the foyer area design and work redone, wrong dimensions executed for the TV unit & redone, wrong aquarium unit & redone & the list of errors just goes on!) Most of these were only acknowledged after we provided photos or messages as evidence.(which is sad! - the bare minimum the team could do is acknowledge the error and help us resolve it).

   
   

The designer was defensive & unreceptive to any feedback throughout the process - to a point where we have had conflicted conversations but her lack of care was so visible. Her senior & branch lead assured us things would get corrected but their reassurances have not been helpful.

We were asked to pay again for something that the designer messed up and until we escalated, work was stopped due to payment.

Another significant miss was they promised during discussion to put Wipro/branded lights but they had installed some local ones. Had we not seen it right on time and seen the opened boxes, we would never have known this. Sad to see them stinge on quality for such a high value project.

We also asked Decorpot to coordinate with other vendors and assist on the ground, but we ended up managing everything ourselves. There was even a theft incident involving another vendor's materials, yet Decorpot refused to take any responsibility.

After this experience, we cannot recommend Decorpot to anyone. Their lack of coordination, accountability, and ownership & blame game turned what should have been an exciting project into a prolonged and stressful ordeal.

Never go with Decorpot. They will scam you somehow. We have paid for soft hinges and have the invoice however they provided cheap quality hinges. We connected with their PM Bharat but no use.. we paid in lakhs for good quality but we were trapped. Never go with Decorpot.. work is also not neat..

Very unprofessional , no response to your follow ups , no courtesy. You will have to chase for everything. Once you signed contract after 60%then you are on your own. No one respond to your call after contract signed.

To intentionally created multiple process to delay everything.

I choose interior company to have hassle free experience but now I can say with surety if you choose Decorpot, you will experience the worst

Initially they will talk very politely, their sales team will do wonderful. But once they take your money, their real game begins. For everything you will have to follow up like anything and sometimes shout at their for their reckless behaviour.

My project ID H191, was too filled with lot of issues. Everytime some or the other issues have been created by Decorpot. Designer will give some plan, but execution is something else. Now, my problem- the led strip which they gave was of inferior quality. Just few days after installation, it stopped working and the same was escalated and found that the led strips used was not of good quality. They changed it. But the story begins here....again the same quality has been used and again led strip has stopped working. Now, when I am requesting them to change it and provide solution, they are mentioning led strip is not covered under repairs. Why did you mention at the start that all lights are under 2 year warranty, it has hardly been 6 months and the issues are coming with your work. Even the wardrobe door has had issues. It is simple- the local players are far better and if any issue is there they will resolve it immediately and continue to have good relationship. But at Decorpot, it is really pathetic and you have to break your head for everything.

I think choosing Decorpot will be the worst decision for anyone....!!! Do not go with Decorpot

I signed up with 25k advance and later realised that I was not given full information like saperate cost for good quality material like acrylic and now they won’t refund back. Senior leadership was involved like vishal in the sales and was keen to just get the sales done but now when it’s time to take accountability of the mess, he does not respond at all.

I would like to rate Decor pot not even with Single star but as per mandate I have given them One star.

Highly not recommended instead of Decor pot, better to go for local carpenter.

Highly unprofessional and unethical business practices with very low standard of service specific to sales and design. Designers here not even the standard of local carpenter if you give them the suggestion that only they will do other than no idea, no theme, no creative designs from them.

I wasted my almost 3 month and struggled to get site visit and then Designers (horrible experience). Now I am struggling to get my refund for which there is no proper response from Decor pot, but I will fight even legal option is open. they should compensate me for my time and patience.

My experience with Decorpot(Project No: PN-3412) has been marred by their failure to fulfill their commitments, specifically regarding a referral amount they promised but never delivered to me for 3412.

This is so shameful that the customer has reminded so many times to pay the referral bonus however they stopped replying emails.

Decorpot's always ask to pay first policy and even they take 100% amount before delivering 1 piece of furniture on site. I cannot recommend Decorpot to others seeking interior design services.

Despite assurances and agreements made regarding the referral incentive, Decorpot failed to uphold their end of the deal. Not only did they neglect to fulfill their financial obligation, but they also demonstrated a lack of accountability and responsiveness when questioned about it.

This disregard for their promises and their customers' expectations is deeply concerning and indicative of a company that values profit over integrity. It's disappointing to see a business prioritize short-term gains over long-term relationships and reputation.

As a result of this experience, I cannot recommend Decorpot to others seeking interior design services. Potential customers should be cautious when dealing with a company that fails to honor its commitments and lacks transparency in its dealings.

I had a pathetic experience with Decorpot (project code 3184), Absolutely incompetent designer was assigned who without sharing a 3D image went ahead with the design. Even during the course of project the entire team plays musical chair in passing responsibility to each other. They are only interested in getting money, multiple follow ups done only till money received.

I got my villa furnished by these guys , 4 wardrobes , tv unit , storage . 3 of them already infected by borer termite. Upon inspection we found out that the wooden panels are ultra cheap quality and not chemical treated. I spent 10 lakhs for my villa and finally everything doing again . Complete waste of money and time

I did two projects with them In both the cases there a lot of snags and there is no response. This company takes all the money hundred percent before Installation and then during installation fails to deliver they have multiple projects at the same time. Complete installation team is over occupied the PM has 10 projects who visits a few minutes or an hour per day and will never take any responsibility. You will end up losing all your money wasted with this company. Please do not choose Decorpot for your home.

Designers are in-competent, lethargic and un-professional, un-qualified, lack of information.

I have booked home interior from DecorPot. Once I have made the payment. things have changed drastically, managers don't answer call, designers will delay like days even for a minimalistic changes. Due to this very slow response, one will be frustrated to go with whatever is available due to long delays.

Its have been months my design is not finalized. They will dictate terms once the payment is made. They will make you pay even more once the 50% of the payment is done. Customers hands will be tied.

Snazzy ads, glamorous experience centers, lofty commitments are all these lot can offer you. I’ve been interacting with them for more than 1.5 years and this is my harrowing experience.

Sales(Mr. Himanshu Raghav) – Never said no to any of our ideas and expectations from the design. However, during design phase most of these were rejected by the designer.

Designer(Ms. Tulika Mukherjee & Ms. Neha Manohar) – Clueless incompetent designers who messed up a lot of the areas like washroom, kitchen etc. and never addressed it. They also missed out on a lot of components and even charged me extra after the contract has been signed. They held the entire advance as a hostage and extorted the additional amount.

Delivery Team – Damaged a lot of areas for which I had to pay out of my pocket. Poor skill-set which led to numerous issues like misaligned shelves, damaged panels etc. they even fixed the kitchen sink in a reverse order, poor quality electricals etc. For eg, these scrupulous team told me that all electrical components would be of Syska make but a lot of components are local / non-branded ones which conked off. There were huge delays in terms of the delivering the project and I found out later that they have marked the project as complete without informing me or taking my signoff. As of now there are still multiple pending issues like paintjob, cleaning services, electrical issues etc. I’ve been given the contact of Mr. Venu who is pathological liar and doesn’t bother to pick your call or respond to your Whatsapp.

Owner(Mr. Kanishka Agarwal / Mr. Deepak Agarwal) – I’ve also approached him bit was met with apathy which is typical of this organization and its members like Mr. Prasad M, Mr. Palisetti Teja, Mr. Vinod Kumar S, Ms. Priyanka R, Mr. Shakthidhar B R, Amrutha Varma V etc. etc.

These people do not have any professionalism. While booking I was not ready to book this company for my interior work as they take double time then most of the other brand. But they assured me that work won’t take more then a month and after complete payment they will expedite the work. Now they have left my work in middle and when I call their carpenter they tell they are working in some other project and can’t come. I feel like as if they are doing a charity and working in free. You can’t even escalate because everyone will switch off or won’t receive your call. This company is a fraud.

Hi All,

Giving my honest and unbiased review on DECOPROT and its service. I availed of the service from Decorpot last year around July 2022. At the time of booking from the Sales team Rahul Torne and his Managers, Neha and Prasenjit gave a lot of assurance on quality and on-time delivery of service. But after paying the whole amount their response is very bad.

As per their mail, my Project-2160 was supposed to be completed on 13th April 2023. But till now there are many things pending and their approach is very lethargic in completing the remaining part.

Here are some negatives points I am bringing out,

1. Many of the designers like Dilan, Deeksha etc. seem to be freshers and unskilled. They have done many faults at the design phase.

   
   




2. Salespeople will always lie about the quality and timeliness and support till the end, but they will either switch off their phones or they will be unresponsive after booking.

   
   




3. They don't have their own Carpenters, they outsourced the work to local carpenters, apparently they look for cost-effective carpenters, who are really horrible at their quality of work.

   
   




4. After so many emails and calls the higher management will be behaving as dumb.

   
   

I am uploading some of the pics which will prove their quality of work.

Even if you are interested to go with them, then I would suggest do not give the complete amount to these people, keeping at least 15% pending until the completion of your work. Else you will be mentally harassed by these people in many ways.

This is their strategy, to take 100% money before installation as they know if there is any discrepancy happens at a later stage, they will just drag it for a long time with false commitments and

will not bother as the money is already received.

Moreover, DCORPOT charges very high for the materials, with a false assurance of the quality of work. If you want to verify plz compare all kind of services and materials at the outside market. For. E.g. Paint Service, POP Work, Electrical Work and even they charge 2 or 3 times on small accessaries like HIndges and Handles, which will cost very less if you purchase outside with the same quality.

I would suggest not to go with DECORPOT ever. Better go with the local interior company who will listen to you for all your requests.
