I went for lkg admission for my son in dav boys school mogappair. the principal conducted the interviewand my son answered all questions. the principal told that we will go with the admission and i will receive a fee link in 2 days. but unfortunately i did not receive the fee link. i called the office room and they told that admission list has been sent to hod in gopalapuram office. so i waited another 1 week and no response. then i went 4 times to meet principal but i was stopped in the gate by the watchman. they don't even allow parents for admission purpose also. finally one day i went inside and asked in the office room regarding my sons admission.again they told approval not came from head office. i got the gopalapuram head office number and made an enquiry. they told that we dont deal admission and the principal alone is doing admission in each school and contact them itself. i was shocked. then i waited to see the principal from 9am. the principal saw me and never cared. i met her at 4pm evening and asked about the admission. she told that its your wish to wait for the admission. why should i tell you whether your ward is selected or not. its upto you to wait.... very worst behaviour and reply from the principal bhuvaneshwari. not respecting parents. not seeing the student parents. all are shouting outside her room and going . she behaves as if she came from sky. no politeness. no respect. no proper response from office room. how will know whether my son selected or not. principal telling why should i tell you.... is this the way a principal of a school speak with parents. why dav committee is appointing such lady as principal....

Management has changed a lot and has become stingy. every year there are new teachers, so no teacher is sure of what is going on everyday, no proper teaching

Very rude and egotistical behaviour from the school office staff. With the name of Brand they are mistreating the parents. They literally say that people are waiting in queue for getting seat in their school in an arrogant manner. If the office staff itself so rude don't know how the teachers would be. What are they going to teach the student just the books, we believe that they are very far away from manners and ethics. I have two bad experiences with them. Once when I applied online and enquired whether they still accept applications and second when we delayed to pay the fees, first time they treated me like a slave and second time they treated me like a criminal with full interrogations. The way she used the words was so impolite. More than academics we need our kids to learn politeness, ethics and culture. They think they have direct relationship with Goddess Saraswati. Even though we got admission we don't want our son to study in that school because we strongly believe that they can only produce egoistic human beings in this world. I'm giving one rating because there is no zero. Also it is not allowing to submit until I rate other criterias like academic, extra curriculum and alumni which I'm not aware of since we are totally upset by the way they behaved I'm giving one to all.

When I studied in DAV Girls it was excellent till 10th. Yes it was competitive, and the heat starts from 9th. However the quality of the teachers was excellent.

However I had the worst teachers in 11th and 12th. All they seemed to care about was gossip about the students, and emotionally abuse them. It was because the principal then was heavily opinionated, egotistic, never respected the parents or the students, very biased and lined up all these incompetent teachers, all Mallus like her, who didn’t know the subject to teach 11th and 12th! These incompetent teachers were the ones who started the gossip culture. In DAV you don’t score well in one exam, you are screwed. You are never given a 2nd chance to get up. Combine this with the gossip culture- you get DAV girls. I am not sure if the gossip culture still exists. Whatever the situation, the teachers should be more professional. Professional does not mean arrogance and belittle others, but been a decent adult.

My son and daughter are studying there. In these 8 years, I had great experience. Faculties are well qualified, well mannered and they teach values to students apart from regular education. They ensure that kids do not get expensive gifts, boxes, bags or pens to ensure uniformity and to avoid peer pressure. They teach about Indian soldiers and their sacrifices too and build patriotism in tender age. I am so happy that my kids are receiving wholistic education

The bathrooms are so worst and smelling bad when we enter, no proper hygienic, and PTM also not properly.. always queue for all subjects.. so in one day we can meet only any 2 teachers only infront of other parents teachers shouting to parents... every year shoes changed.. 7th Social Teacher beating children very worst .. so my son always getting fear whenever social teat conducted..

My son has cleared the entrance exam in DAV senior secondary school, Mogappair for 2nd standard.

Now I am confused whether I should change his current school or not.I need to know the below details from some existing parents. kindly help.

1. Whether they are informing the parent about the homework(like most of the schools are sending sms now days).

I had very worst experience with DAV school chennai. For my kids admission, just to get admission form I was in queue from morning. It was very rush from early morning. For page 4 only, price is 500 Rs.

As per my estimation, they might have sold more than 10000 form for admission.

After filing the form and provided all the details we have submitted it before last day to avoid any issue.

We expected we will get a call for kids interview. After 3 weeks, without any call or interview, they published selected candidate. I dont understand, on what basis, school have selected student.

To avoid such a huge crowd for admission form, they should arrange for online process and made it fair.

Worst thing about school, there is no one to give any reply on this. Everybody will say the same thing, only management know but who is management, don't know.

I went to DAV School school during a Inter school quiz competition in which my friend took part in.

I was really happy to see the happy environment of the school. Children were very disciplined in spite of absence of their teacher. This shows that they do not always keep strict attitude towards students.

I was really happy to know it was a CBSE school and the Academic Programs are organised with right course for the right age group.

All the teachers I met were real helpful and were very interested to see students participate and motivate them for the quiz competition.

They even had a lot of extracurricular programs like quiz. sports week, NCC, scout guide.

DAV is quite famous for all the branches spread all over India and have a great Alumni Network too.
