Dal Fry Day Restaurant, Bannerghatta Road, Bangalore Reviews

Dal Fry Day on a Dry Day !
Apr 09, 2008 07:18 PM2206 Views

Hey all me back with another review...

this time we travel a lil ahead of IIM Bangalore...

travel a Km or so from  IIM and you find thid good looking resti on left at first floor...

Initially looking at ambiance and the area around one can very easily quote this resti as a good place to eat ... especially when you have all young crowd chirping around !

After the looks and ambiance we went to the orders!

Service is slow...pathetic I guess..

it takes good time for  a meal of two to be served  !

Food ya it tastes fine for me ....... but we cannot compare I tto any other well established northie resti.. in bangalore....

If you leave non-veg, other's were quite ordinary !

Come to the bills now..........

you feel as if you were robbed ;)

not quiet but yes...... the prices are on the higher side !

My say...... 2.5/5......

Not bad to try.......

but surely not a place to party !

Cheers !

Authentic North Indian food

We found the food at Dal Fryday to be very good. Initially,

the prices were on the higher side making one wonder if the place is worth it.

But, thanks to a recent price correction, there is better VFM now.

The interiors are simple and functional. The place is well maintained. Service

is very good and the food is presented very well.

Since we live close by, we even tried home delivery. The food was delivered on

time on a week-end which is commendable. The best part though is that the food

was brought in a hot pack. This kept the food hot and fresh. This is a nice

touch considering that food usually gets cold very quickly in winters. We weren’t

even charged extra for the containers!!

Some might find the food to be a bit on the spicier side Some of the dishes I would recommend. Subz Biryani - Cooked and brought to your table in an earthen pot. Gives that

authentic touch !! Phulka - very soft; soft enough to feed our 16 month old. Paneer Chatpata - Kinda like Palak Paneer; excellent paneer!! Begum Bahar. Adraki Dal Shorba - Good combination of Ginger and Dal. On a whole, a nice place. Highly recommended if you like North Indian

cuisine.

Bangalore India
Finally an Indian Dining Option on Bannerghatta Rd
Nov 20, 2006 01:30 PM4121 Views

Bannerghatta Road has been growing as a commercial and residential hub for some time unfortunately the restaurants have not been keeping pace. There havent been very many "good" eating out options but the arrival of dal fryday (interesting name) seems to have changed that. With chungs, pizza corner and dal fryday there are many more options now to choose from.

The menu is strictly north indian and they seem to have done a good job . I particularly liked the kukurmutte multani (tandooried mushrooms stuffed with cheese) and also the rojali kabab. I also sampled the handi chicken as well as the veg jal frezi . Very unlike stuff you would get in the name of north indian foord in most resturants in bangalore. and the better for it.

The decor was very simple and uncluttered and none of the obvious north indian style statements.

This is definetely a place I would like to go to again and I was also informed that they have started home deliveries.
