WE PURCHASED GEYSER FROM SNAPDEAL CROMPTON GREAVES THE PRODUCT ARRIVED AND WE GOT IT INSTALLED FROM THE PLUMBER IT WORKED FINE FOR A MONTH, PROBLEM STARTED AFTER A MONTH THE PRODUCT WOULDNT HEAT,


WE RAISED COMPLAINT WITH SNAPDEAL BUT FAILED AS THEY DO NOT PROVIDE SERVICE WE CALLED CROMPTON AND RAISED COMPLAINT THE PRODUCT WAS NOT SERVICED EVEN AFTER A MONTH OF FOLLOW UP AND FINALLY WAS SOLVED ON MONDAY 2ND AUGUST THE SERVICE IS VERY SLOW AND BAD WE PICKED THE PRODUCT ONLY BECAUSE IT WAS CHEAP AND FOR OUR RENTED HOUSE OUR TENANT KEPT CALLING US RELATED TO THE PROBLEM WITH THE PRODUCT .


THEY NEED TO IMPROVE QUALITY OR SERVICE

Never Buy Crompton greaves

I bought a water heater and I am sorry since the day I bought it. Constant problems with it has basically rendered it useless. I have lodged in multiple complaints no : 1305049266, 1307075013, 1308017340 and all they do is identify the problem as cut or replacement required, tank to be replaced etc but nothing happens.


I also talked to Mr Satya Prakash the area manager for Noida, and again false promises. The service centre, Yogesh electricals is just as hopeless.


NEVER BUY CROMPTON GREAVES PRODUCTS.

I purchased Crompton Greaves Solarium Geyser, 25L for past 7 years. Till date no issue.


Pros: Quick heating, Elegant & Stylist look( I have the plastic body one), Long life Heating element(7 years & still going)

A 5 year old CG geyser (15L) in my rented apartment started leaking. I raised a service request (complaint no. 1212003139) on Dec 3 2012 for the same. The service request was attended by Sun Rise Enterprises, Hyderabad. The technician who came told us that the tank inside the geyser will need to be replaced and will cost us Rs 1700 (tank cost 1400 + 300 service charges). I agreed to pay the said amount and asked him to go ahead with the replacement.


He, however, demanded an advance amount of 50% of the tank cost, reasoning that it will need to ordered specially for me. I agreed, and paid him Rs 700/- He gave me an informal written receipt of the same on the back side of a visiting card of Sun Rise Enterprises.  He told me he will come back the next Sunday with the tank. On Sunday evening, when I called up Sun Rise enterprises and asked for the status, the person who had picked up the phone mockingly told me how could I expect anyone to come on a Sunday.


From Monday onward I had to follow up with them continuously for 1 month before the technician finally came in with the tank. After struggling for about 3 hours to fit it in, he gave up. He told me that they will not be able to replace the tank, they had hoped that a tank meant for some other model would fit in, but it didnt. I talked to the the concerned person Mr. Govardhan on the following phone no. +917416273563. He agreed to refund the 700/- advance and asked me send him my bank a/c number. I did the same via SMS. Since then I kept following with him for almost 3-4 months but he always kept saying 'tomorrow I will transfer'.


After that he has stopped picking up my phone. I have tried reaching him on all the phone numbers that I have but unable to do so. I also contacted the regional sales manager of CG (contact details given by CG customer care, one Mr Tirupati Swami phone: +917799923423). He told me he'll talk to Sunrise enterprises owner and make sure I get my refund. But that hasn't happened and his phone is also unreachable now.


I have given up on the amount now. The amount of time I'm spending to write this review is also worth more than the amount concerned. The only reason for sending this email to tell the world how the CG brand has deteriorated. A brand I have admired from childhood since my father always told me that  CG makes the best fans and motors, millions of which he got installed at numerous government buildings in Rajasthan (he worked for the public works department, govt of Rajasthan).


BTW my landlord replaced that old geyser with a new CG geyser and I now shudder at thought of getting it serviced, if it goes bad anytime (God forbid)!

Not so bad product

I bought this a few days ago, since it was summer, we did not use it initially. We have started using it from a week and its leaking.


When I saw these reviews now, I am shocked. How can they give five stars to such a product. I bought this based on five stars in Reliance digital. They took 7, 200+ 220 installation fee. Also again when they came to fit it, they charged 408 rupees for tubes etc.


While I was searching for Crompton Greaves phone number, I accidentally saw these reviews and wanted to let the consumers know about this product. If anybody see this review before they bought heater, I hope it would help. I saw reviews for the major items, but not for this heater.


I will update this review once I get it repaired.


Update June 24 12:


I gave a complaint and sent emails to the ids provided for Hyderabad branch. They sent a technician within a day and got it fixed. Will post again, if there is leakage again.

Purchased 25L CG geyser in Reliance Digital on 21/08/2008. Tank started leaking in February 2012. Called Service on March 9th. Call handled by A.R. Customer Care in Hyderabad. After much tussle with Reliance and A.R. Customer Care, tank was finally replaced in April 2012. In the process the technician messed up the electrical wiring so geyser always shows overheating (red light). Ever since I have called Mr. Raghuram at A.R. Customer Care to rectify the situation about 20 times in the ensuing 2 months but to no avail.


I strongly recommend against buying Crompton Greaves products just because of the horrendous service provided.

The solarium gyser started leaking & soon it was flooding my bathroom. Called there call center who sent east Delhi service center, they took Rs. 1, 400/- to replace with a new one - S.No. JJJ519959, did not give the bill till date & that unit too started leaking - same problem.


Complained again & they sent same company & they are once again asking money to replace it


Worst company service center who cheats clients like that - don't recommend this gyser to anyone as the Quality & Service both are very poor.

I purchased an Instant water heater. After 5 mins of luke warm water it starts giving cold water ..the entire process you can get half a bucket of hot water. I contacted the local sales guy he put me on to the sales Officer from CG .. he started giving me gyan.


I asked him to replace this he was adamant and started telling me that you have to route this through the call center and so after a while, I left the issue. Still stuck with the pc of junk, not a very happy person.

Bad Geyser - Crompton Doling out horrible products

Very bad product indeed.


Tank was leaking from Day 1. Now this is the 2nd year in operation and the element is fused.


I bought the geyser from Crompton Greaves because of its brand value. I bought it because I was sure that once I buy it, I will probably never have to change/repair it. I have seen my parents talking about it positively but believe me, my kids will hear me talking very negatively about it.** They will probably never buy products from CG. Same is the case with my friends and relatives.


A local product would probably have fared well than this one. BAD BAD BAD Product. Never buy it.

Most of the consumers fall prey to the Company reputation in other field of specialization and commit mistake by buying consumer appliances made by this company, The fact is this co is trying to enlarge their


Business at the expense of poor consumers. I also bought a Crompton 25 lt Geysers and am weeping and cursing the day when I took this decision of buying CG geysers. Furthermore you have no access to any phone for getting service


I hope Co should stop mfg and selling the geysers till the time they establish themselves to make quality product and also to manage to provide alter sale service. I am one of the sufferers who bought 25lt geyser and am facing problem since then. Let us hope co. should note it at least from this review and then sort out my problem.

I purchased the latest 5 star rated Solarium Plus the latest Geyser from CGthinking that it is a reputed brand and hence the product must be good. I got it in March 2010 from a dealer in Vasant Kunj, New Delhi. The tank of the first geyser when it was installed was found leaking. A complain was made. The technician who came said that this is not a good product and you must get another model.Geyser of different model of CG was even sent as replacement but we did not allow that.


Finally 4 months after the complaint geyser of the same model was replaced. This geyser too started leaking very soon. We have now lodged acomplaint once again. The technician who came this time again said this modelis not good. They promised to replace the geyser once again but nothing hashappened. We have not been able to use the geyser even for a day.


The service team does not give any written report for attending the complaint. I guess they are aware that there product is BAD and the service is even worse. People handling the service are completely insensitive.


Yesterday while I was driving back I listened to the radio commercial of this model being marketed as the latest 5 star rated model with PUF insulation and all. I never expected a company like CG to sell sub standard products and then hide behind curtains. DON'T GET FOOLED BY THE COMMERCIALS. Funny enough but they do not have a feedback section on their web site for appliances.


I am fed-up and want this geyser to be returned and money refunded so that I can buy geyser of another brand before winter sets in. I don't know if this web site can help me in this. But people reading this must be careful before choosing a CG appliance. THEY ARE NOT SERIOUS ABOUT THIS BUSINESS AND SEEM TO BE USING THIS PRODUCT LINE JUST TO ENCASH THEIR NAME.

CG Geisers are Bogus and never ever buy them. I am suffering for the past 1 year. Their service is even worser. Service from ALN servicing Centre in hyderabad is Horrible. Whenever there is a problem they will always come, replace coil, thermostat & ask for hefty money.


After few days, not even months the problem will start again. They will even scare you with stories that coil will fail in few days and if not replace can cause serious damage.


Stay away from Crompton Greaves Geisers. CG Geisers are Bogus and never ever buy them. I am suffering for the past 1 year. Their service is even worser. Bad Service and faulty equipment

I bought Crompton and Greaves 25 L geyser and its storage tank was leaking since day one..The leakage caused the entire household circuit to trip several times and thus posing a threat of fire in the house through electrical wiring...


I believe these people do not test the equipment for quality before supplying it in the market...selling such untested pieces can risk the customers' lives. But I guess C & G is least bothered...


The customer service is pathetic...once the piece is sold they are least bothered about the customers' grievances....they will not attend to you properly and will make your life hell! Highly irresponsible and irritating customer service. No value for time and money. Please do not buy these geysers!!


Moreover, I bought this geyser from a reliance digital shop and these guys r even more irresponsible. They don’t take any responsibility whatsoever and do not help in any sort of service or complaint and leave you on the mercy of the dealers who supplied the geyser to you.

The instant water Heater from Crompton Greaves Ltd in really very good and easy to use. The one that I bought has a plastic ABS body and has a capacity of 1 liter. It comes with a reset switch which helps to protect the element from overheating. This is a very good feature which is unique in market of instant geysers. The machine comes with a 1 year dealer warranty. The water gets really hot but the downside is that you need to keep the tap open so that the machine does not switch to the 'cut-off' mode. This is quite good actually as it helps to increase the longevity of the element.


A very good buy and I feel the product is much better than the instant geysers of Venus and Bajaj. The machine will easily run for 4 - 6 years without giving any major trouble. The Service Team is just a phone call away, so there is no room for complaint when you buy this product.

Pathetic service

Never buy a CG product. I bought a Crompton Greaves Gyser on 19-04-2007 from Mala Agencies.


On installation, the fitter said that PRV is bad and the company guys need to check it.


After several calls to the company, the service guy came and said very stubbornly that I don't know anything about this gyser :(( (Then why did he came.. god only knows). No need to mention that I have already told the problem on the phone itself while lodging complaint).


Several days later after following up with the service center one head mechanic came, inspected and said that the product has a manufacturing fault and it needs to be replaced and will be replaced in 3 days. There 3 days are not over yet (its been 10 days atleast)


Later on I made several call to the dealer as well as to the service center head of Pune, Mr. Adarsh Kumar (9822427714) to no avail.


I am still waiting for my gyser to be replaced.

Well here in this case its not crompton to greave its their customers turn to greave. An advice that I received much later - ''Stay clear of anything that Crompton greaves heats'' ...the instant heater I purchased at an exhibition couldnt do justice for more than 2 baths, when I truied contacting the company the song & dance I did was not amsing at all.


much later I find that there are several others who have this similiar dilima and have wisely exchanged thier piece (at a cost) for my other favorite brand (reccold)


The technoical problem is that the thermostat a safety device, wears off in no time at all. Is it a belief that CG must decide all its consumers to cold baths as our ancestors once did.... well not me
