We are devastated to share the unimaginable loss of our precious 5-year-old daughter due to what we believe was the negligence and irresponsibility of the doctors and staff at Continental Hospital. She was our world, our joy, and her life were tragically cut short because of a system we trusted with her care.
Our daughter was initially diagnosed with Aplastic Anemia on September 15th at another reputed hospital. Wanting the best for her, we sought a second opinion from Dr. S.K. Gupta at Continental Hospital. His kind and reassuring words gave us hope, and we decided to move forward with her treatment under his care.
Her journey of treatment began on September 21st, which included medications and blood transfusions. For months, she endured this process bravely, even smiling through the many visits to the HMT ward for her transfusions. Everything seemed under control until the tragic day of December 13th.
That day, we visited for a scheduled remaining half unit of platelet transfusion, using the SDP that had been reserved from our donor on 8th Dec. Just a few days prior, on December 8th, she had received a fresh SDP half unit(from the same donor) transfusion without any complications. Before the transfusion on December 13th, her test results, including CBC, CRP, Cyclosporine levels, and LFT, were completely normal — no red flags, nothing to indicate what was about to unfold.
Around 4:15 PM, the nurse administered a half-dose of Avil to prepare her for the transfusion. Moments after the procedure began I would say within 30 seconds, our little girl started vomiting. Alarmed, we immediately stopped the transfusion and called for help. Nurse came in and, gave her an Emset injection, and resumed the transfusion, even though she was still visibly unwell. When we asked sister “” why she is vomiting we have to stop the transfusion then she replied “Its human body we never know how its reacts." .What followed was nothing short of a nightmare.
For the next 45 minutes, she suffered—vomiting repeatedly and having severe motions—with no nurse or doctor in sight to tend to her. We were left helpless, watching her condition deteriorate before our eyes.
What began as a routine transfusion spiraled into an unimaginable tragedy. By December 15th, our daughter was gone. Our beautiful, strong, and innocent little girl endured immense pain in her final days—pain that could have been prevented if only the staff had been more vigilant, if only the care we entrusted them with had been delivered responsibly.
Our hearts are broken, and the void left by her loss is unbearable. We want answers, accountability, and justice for our little angel, who deserved so much more than what she received.
We entrusted our daughter's life to Continental Hospital, believing they would care for her with the utmost competence and compassion. Instead, our little angel was failed at every turn, and her life was cut short due to their negligence. We will never be able to fill the void she has left in our lives, but we hope no other family has to endure the heartbreak we now live with every single day.
Doctors and sisters the leader with'g'od complex, could not even explain how the reaction had happened with the same product which was transfused on 8th Dec without any complications and was not able to handle the situation after the reaction. Till today they do not have any clue how these reactions happened and we are still waiting for the answer.

- Thank You! We appreciate your effort.
