Not worth the money
May 12, 2017 12:14 PM 5092 Views

I went to this place recently with my friends during lunch time.

They have buffet system.

As soon as you will enter you will find, huge variety of dishes kept.

They have different areas allocated for different genres of food.

Genres include soup, starters, salads, chat corner, momo corner, live grill, main course and desserts.

They definitely have huge variety of foods but everything doesn't taste good. Apart from chats and dessert, I didn't liked anything.

Veg starter and main course was very poor.

At the end they gave us paan shots as refreshers which tasted very bad though it looked quite amazing as it was served with liquid nitrogen.

Ambience is very good. Its neat and clean and waiters are very helpful. Customer service is great too.

According to me, its not worth the money. There is no use of spending 700rs just to have chats and dessert.

I will not visit this place again.

Chutney Chang - Do try their desserts
Feb 23, 2017 06:30 PM 4367 Views

Visited this place twice with my friends. The ambiance of the restaurant is really classy and its location is way too good as it located in peaceful area where you will not find much of traffic. The restaurant follows the buffet system, starting dish i.e. soup will be served on your table and rest of the food you need to pick on your own. for vegetarians menu is vast but non vegetarians need to compromise with fewer options. Their main attraction is their chats and desserts, everyone should try them at least once. Employees are really humble. All in all its a good place for the money they charge.

Chutney Chang : Best Avoided

It was my daughters birthday. I planned to make it extra special as she was just stepping out of her teens and was completing her degree this year.

I chose Chutney Chang as they advertise so very many times and the times had given a ok review.

I was totally disappointed with the offering. Except for 1 salad, nothing: ABSOLUTELY   NOTHING  WAS  EDIBLE .  i am certain that  no one in his right frame of mind will ever visit it a second time

No taste at all. Nothing special for children. Charging for 60 rs for water bottle where there whole food is not even 100 rs worth.700rs  just not worth for per head food n service they provide.deserts are all disasters. Not even one dish I felt to take again . no juice or drinks on the offer. On asking they offered a menu charging extra for that.

We are vegetarians but I doubt any nonveg person will be satisfied as well with the food

Lot of Food, but not All of It Tastes Good

To start off by telling you about this place, there is too much food here! It is definitely difficult to eat everything here hence, sampling every dish is advisable. I went here with my girlfriend and we both were full by the time we had to eat the Main Course.

We whiled away sometime talking, chatting and after almost 20 mins-1/2 an hour proceeded to have the Main Course. The fish curry was a little smelly and the chicken in the chicken gravy was a little to bite into. The Veg Pulao was pretty decent, and so was the Pineapple raita.

I really loved the desserts, which had a good mix of both Indian and western ones and some of them, which I had never really heard off, were present and even tasted good.

Overall I would give this place 3/5.

One Of the better Dine Out Restaurants

Go for the unlimited buffet. If u love momos and chaats, you're gonna go crazy stuffing yourself. Their starters, main course and desserts have way too many choices and taste good too!

And the service is good. But make sure to get reservation because the place gets crowded. The ambiance is beautiful.

Food Food Everywhere!

I went here with my family and my jaw dropped on seeing the variety of food they had arranged in rows for buffet. If you are  large group, if you are very hungry and if you want to have all the cuisine of the world on your platter, then this is the place to come to!

They serve around 8 starters(4 Veg, 4 Non), 11 salads, 2 soups(1 Veg, 1 Non), 13 Main Course(8 Veg, 5 Non) and 15 desserts. Phew! That is a lot of food isn't it! The time I went for lunch here, we had the Chicken Manchow Soup, Russian salad, corn and cucumber salad and many more. The fish starter was pretty good and so was the chicken.

In Main course, *I opted for the biryani, * as it looked really tempting and tasted also pretty good. The desserts are way too many and a little of everything should be taken on the plate to try. I really liked the place, but later I realized that there was too much food and most of it might go waste. Do try it out if you like buffets.

Chuteny Chang is not your place

Recently, I had dinner at Chutney Chang, Jayanagar. Extremely crowded. Yes large spread. But looks like folks who designed the spread had no clue of how to do the right permutation and combination. Too many mix and matches which did not go well. Service was good, folks were nice and polite but had never been trained in a good restaurant. A gaze away and your plate is gone. Their sole focus is on getting the plates back to the washing area. Coming to the taste, chicken was rare, barely cooked. Fish seemed to be basa, and not marinated well. Hence fairly rubbery. Did not have vegetables much so cant comment.

Sweet dishes were of poor taste. Jalebi was good but rasgulla seemed hard and too sweet. Bananas served in a plate were also an item:-). Cakes were fairly average. soup was terrible.

All in all a neigborhood eatery which had pretensions to becoming big! Stay away. Waste of money.

Visit if u want to treat ur eyes n not ur stomach

I recently visited Chutney Chang for team lunch... here is my experience - the number of varieties on the buffet was exiting. But once I started eating...the food was so ordinary.... none of the dish tasted out of the world.

The customer service wasn't good either. we had to follow up so many times until the parathas were served even the dishes that got empty were not being re-filled in-spite of telling them. Very few and ordinary starters.

Its then I realized... its not about quantity but quality is more important.

Liked the variety and spread. Especially the Mustard fish curry was awesome. It costs little over 600/- per head which is almost same as Barbeque Nations's. Compared to BBQ Nation Chutney Chang has more options, but taste-wise I would still prefer BBQ Nation.

The place was relatively less crowded as compared to BBQ nation. Worth trying it once.
