Best place with helpful staff
Jan 31, 2016 01:56 AM 7707 Views

Went to Chokhi Dhani with friends. Located in the outskirts of Jaipur. Cab takes around 45 minutes to reach from Ajmeri gate.

Activities are really good and fun. Food was OK. Can be improved. Staff are very helping and quick. Always better to go by your own vehicle as it is really difficult to find a Cab or Auto out there late night. Overall it's a nice place. Must visit if you are going to Jaipur.

Best place to take a feel of Rajasthani culture
Jan 13, 2016 08:55 PM 7663 Views

If you don't have time to visit whole Rajasthan, better visit Chokhi Dhani. I am a regular visitor of Chokhi Dhani and I last visited this place on 3nd Jan, 2016. Since it was the first weekend of the year, there was a huge rush there. It took us almost 1 hour to find a parking and another 40 mins to take the tickets(I never tried online booking but they do have that option, better use it during weekends to avoid the long queues).

As far as ambiance is concerned, as I said it is the whole Rajesthan in one place.you will get the feel of Rajasthan inside.folk dancers dancing on Rajasthani songs, huts with hukkas, camel rides, Kathputli play and lots of other items are there to make your stay pleasant there.

The best part of the chokhi dhani is their Rajasthani food.though it serves one of the best Rajasthani food but you will be impressed with the way staff serves the food to you. For once, you would start thinking whether you are in a resort or in your sasural:)

I would recommend you all to visit this place at least for once and you will come back to this place regularly like me!

Nice Place but Nupur jain

Good Morning Sanchi,

How are you?

HAPPY INDEPENDENCE TO ALL.

I am Vijay Aggarwal joined as Asst. F& B Manager on July 13, 2015 in your esteemed Organization. I came to home as my wife was not well(Initial stage of pregnancy). I would like to share some major concerns regarding the working environment of Chokhidhani Resorts. It’s a beautiful and well maintained property.

My concern is all about Front Office Department(First Impression for Guests). The staff is untrained and unprofessional. None of them understands English well. They do struggle while handling foreign guests. Everybody of them carry their cell phones along with them while on duty.

Anytime we pass from Reception, they are all standing in a group with cell phones in their hands. On the contrary, their head Ms. Nupur Jain(FOM) shares these moments with them rather stopping them to continue these habits.

I have noticed couple of times; whenever she talks to guests she is not polite at all. She never comes to HOD meetings even Manager Operations is always there. She does have special privileges of using Guests facilities even Manager Operations is not allowed.

She is using Guest gym and spa on daily basis. She comes early morning to avail these facilities and still showing these hours ON DUTY in her time card. She always has her lunch in Bindola restaurant on Ala carte menu. Whenever she eats in her cabin, she needs at least one waiting staff to serve her. It doesn’t matter to her whether the staff is busy with guests order.

As we are running short of staff in F& B but she never cares. She never used EDR for breakfast or lunch. The Front Office staff gives wrong information to Guests regarding their meals while booking their rooms. We as F& B Staff paid consequences for their wrong information. It happened so many times even Mr. Ajmera(Manager Operations) knows about it.

On August 2, 2015, all front office staff left for their Friendship Day party hosted by Nupur Jain. Nobody was at Front Desk after 8:30 PM except one Industrial Trainee Rahul who was taking care of the whole FO Operations and passing wrong information to Guests. Nupur is just concerned about those who provided her gossips from other Departments. She is the one who decides whether a person should be promoted or penalised in F& B Department.

In fact, on August 12, 2015 she complained to Mr. Mehul(Hotel Director) in the morning that I am not performing my job properly and Mr. Mehul just shouted on me in HOD Meeting in front of other managers and executives in the afternoon. He could have called me in person in front of Manager Operation and could have discussed the matter. But whatever Nupur said that’s always true as if she is the owner of the Resort.

I am failed to understand why Nupur is interfering in other Departments rather giving training to her own staff for better prospects. Since I joined, I have never seen any Fine Slips against Front Office Department but Plenty for other Departments. Front Office is maintaining at full Par level but F& B is just 19 whereas actual par is 42. Why is it so?  All other major Departments are very cooperative and work as a Team work.

This all might look a fake story to you. But Cameras are there in all guest areas you may check the footage in the last one month. Actually, I am not disappointed but I am SAD. It’s a matter of consternation. I joined Chokhi Dhani Family to boost my career by sharing my International Exposure to the Establishment. I worked every day for 12 – 13 Hrs to contribute my potential.

Even on my Offs, I prepared projects and menu updating on my laptop for hours. I never mind working for long hours but a person like Nupur Jain is there just to make life miserable for those who don’t share any gossip with her. Let her run the show for F& B also. I am sorry; I cannot breathe in such an unprofessional and ignorant atmosphere. I was supposed to be back on duty on August 15, 2015. But I am quitting this job.

Well, I returned cell phone and other handover to Mr. Vajpayee(Banquet Manager) along with the SIM. I deposited DM room keys to TIME OFFICE to Mr. Gopal(Security Supervisor). Security checked my luggage at Time office while leaving DM room. I never received any uniform from the company. So I am clear on my part. In fact I did work till August 13, 2015 so my salary for 13 days shall be INR 18, 871/-. You are kindly requested to share this amount for Staff Welfare.

Thanks

With Regards

Vijay Aggarwal

Asst. F& B Manager

I visited chokhi dhani resort last year. it was my great experience.it is just like a village resort and night special resort at tonk road in jaipur.

Chokhi dhani  resort is a radiant of rajasthan with ethnic touch to it.it provides a unique experience of rajasthani culture with a lot of fun, entertainment, games, shopping, horse and camel riding and folk dance.it was fully entertaining. I just love the folk dance ghooer and kalbeliya dance. I also shakes leg with the dancers, really I enjoyed a lot.

It's a good place for family and couple as well.the outer view is awesome.I am full satisfied by the quick service and courteous environment. Totally it presents a preety picture of a typical rajasthani lifestyle.

You must visit this place.

Best Place
May 28, 2015 06:41 PM 10473 Views

First time Chokhi dhani I have seen in Hyderabad - Komapally. But really if you want to feel the original Chokhi Dhani than just comes to Jaipur.

There are lots of things to do or explore in Rajasthan but it's not possible in one day, If you are in Jaipur's Chokhi Dhani then it will possible for you. As in Name Chokhi means Best Dhani means Place, it is best place to visit with your family. Yes, specially on holidays you will find this place full of crowd. It's just like a Rajasthani fair with full of famous Rajasthani yummy food, Rajasthani paintings, Rajasthani items, Rajasthani famous puppet show, Rajasthani jewelery, Rajasthani Saree etc

You can enjoy by watching live Rajasthani Kalbeliya or Rajasthani Ghoomar dance. You can taste their Marwari Food Daal Baati with Pure Butter or Ghewar, Pyaz ki kachori, Ker Sangri ka pickle. All of my Favorite as I am pure Rajasthani.

Their hospitality is very nice, you feels like at home, they will welcome you with music, folk dance and Tilak and welcome drink. You can explore with Elephant or Camel ride.

There are two types of dinning fully air conditioned or in traditional way [sit on muslin clothes on floor] It is best place to visit.

Hated this Place....
May 14, 2015 06:53 PM 10143 Views

I will love if somebody help me in giving rating below 1 or even 0. Recently me & my Team went for the get together in this highly pampered restaurant of Jaipur.

Below was my Experiences:

A) Worst Scenario at Food Court It was a real bizarre out there. All waiters(so Called) were roaming & using abusive words among themselves. No Idea who will serve us.

B) A Simple request of Lemon(Nimbu) from one of my dear friends was listened after 30 min & still offered with uncut Nimbu. Hilarious.

C) Best Churama cames after 20 Mins.  & 2nd time we only kept waiting.

D) Camel & Elephant riding - high rates with Haathi went for just 20 steps.

E) Papad offered in middle of meal without asking anything for us.

Don't go Chokhi Dhani instead go somewhere u get the best out of paid(such a huge amount).

Chokhi Dhani Tourist Place Jaipur - WORST Service
May 14, 2015 04:13 PM 9707 Views

BAD Service - It was my first visit with 30 friends and family at Chokhi Dhani, Jaipur, WORST service I have experienced. The food was not all that great as they promise, gone through with stomach upset problem. The staff had a very bad attitude, rude, sullen and moody.

Loud mouthed idiots in food area. Bad language used while serving food and no one in staff(Supervisor, Manager) bat an eyelid even after seeing this, it was embarrassing. I will not recommend Chokhi Dhani.

Lovvvvvve this place :)

Jaipur was an unplanned sudden visit in the month of June 2014. It was scorching heat and we almost managed to cover few places like Amer Fort, Hawa Mahal, LMB, etc. But the bessssst part was Chokhi Dhani. We reached there in the evening around 4o'clock. The entrance fee was Rs.750.

Chokhi Dhani is an artificially created Rajasthani Village.but wow to the concept and its execution! I actually felt I was in a Rajasthani village. There are different activities going on throughtout the village.

At one end, there will be few ladies putting Mehendi on your hands, on the other there will be a puppet show or a magician show going on. It wad total fun! Infact there was an Elephant ride and Camel ride too. There was a Stall where you could have loads if kanji drink.

Finally, the highlight if the day was a Rajasthani Thali, filled with all Delicacies from the region. Ample amount with a very good waiter was served to us. We enjoyed every bit of the meal.

Good part:

-Feel of a Rajasthani village

-Loads of activities to see and participate

-Tasty Rajasthani Thali

-Very nicely built place with many places to click photographs.

-Evening Fair is there, so can buy Rajasthani stuff.

Bad part:

-Far from the city(had to pay the driver Rs.1500, that's more than the entrance fee to thr place)

-At few places, the performers were bluntly asking for tip, which was quite a let down.

Conclusion: Totally going again:)

Village Fair and resturant

Rajasthan is the land of maharajahs and one of the most well-known destinations in all over the world. In september 2014, I went on a college trip to Jaipur-Pushkar-ajmer.I was quite  excited, as to visit jaipur for me is like a dream come true.In 4 days trip, I always miss chokhi dhani part.

Chokhi Dhani Group provides a unique experience of Rajasthani culture. Real rajasthani village culture in fun, entertainment, games, thrill, shopping, rajasthani diet, Rajasthani Kalbeliya Dance or Ghoomer or other folk dance, music and much more to look. to feel. to breathe. to taste. to experience.

We went there on last day of my trip in night.Outer view is awsome. From oustdide it is like a village. The entry price is 600 rs for single person. Firstly we to eat food and the food was delicious and mothwatering. It was in purely rajasthani style. They gave 5-6 sabzis, sweet and the most I liked I chaach i:e Butter milk. After that we saw the lake, dance, and chokhi dhani market, you will find real rajasthani work there. But it is quite costly. You can find kufi other thins also  and the price is just 10 rs for all the things.

When you goes to jaipur always visit chokhi dhani

Back in Rajasthan
Jan 23, 2015 10:15 PM 12045 Views

The set up is similar to a village in Rajasthan. With Camel rides and folk dance the experience here is unique. Everyone is seated in a row at ground hence one feels homely. The food is good to average quality, but the quantity never ends.

One feels there is a lot of desi Ghee served with the food. It is a pure veg eatery hence no frills for non-veg eaters. It's a good place for family and couples as well.what good I like about here is that there are lots of thing you can do besides just sit and eat.

You can listen to beautiful songs live in front on your request, take a camel/horse ride, witness some good Rajasthani folk music and play games along with your kids.Overall, we were satisfied by the quick service and courteous environment. At last We felt we have got worth of every single penny spent.

The lovely malpuas
Dec 23, 2014 03:56 AM 11440 Views

For starters, they only have kachori with kadi & tea and you have to make do with it till dinner time which starts at around 8 pm. You have to take a slot for dinner as there is a rush but if you have a late slot then there is only that much kachori you can have.

We came to know later that at a far end corner of the place there is a live chulha where ladies will feed you bajre ki roti with butter. However, they don’t have any sign as to if you are first timers like we were, you will miss it.

For the main course the usual suspects are there, dal bati, gatte ki sabji etc. however the food was cold and not flavourful. It wasn't bad and much better than what you would get in main city but having travelled all the way it certainly is below expectations.

The saving grace are the malpuas which were lovely and hot.

Delhi, India India
Overhyped tourist destination
Oct 08, 2014 12:34 PM 14262 Views (via Mobile)

Went to chokhi dhani, jaipur.tonk road on 4 oct 2014 with family for dinner. .after long travel from Delhi. .We reached there at 8pm to get timely entry and fud.

As soon we reached .there was no car parking. .we had to park our cars in lonely streets without security guards.almost half kilometre far from resort.as parking was full. As soon we reached main entrance .long queue for entry tickets. .somehow we managed to get 500/- per head from three options of 300/- .500/-.800/-.but inside there was no segregation of category. .anyone can eat anywhere. .so didn't understood why three rates for same thing.

We crossed main entrance and went inside.and was shocked to see human heads everywhere and place was over over crowded then the capacity. .

Highly mismanaged and disorganised management inside. With no support staff.or if there was anyone. .they were clueless. .the staff was unhygienic and in dirty clothes and untrained. .to manage crowd. Very soon we realized that we need to stand in long waiting queues for food and enjoying activities with family was not possible together.

So we opted one queue to dine together. .from three long queues.table chair.floor dining. .and buffet. .we opted table chair considering the physical limitations of our parents to sit on floor.

My husband and I was standing in queue turn wise till 8:30-11pm.finally at 11pm we realised that we need to wait one hour more to dine.at our preferred option.

We decided and opted buffet option.which was of 300/- per head.despite the fact that we paid 500/- per head.because it was too late and everyone was too hungry and tired by that time.

As we entered inside we saw leftover food. Used plates and glasses. .water.dirty tables full of used plates and leftover everywhere. A scene after gee langar or bhandara on road

We were so disappointed but we had no other option then to eat at such place because by that time all restaurant kitchen got closed. We reached buffet counter where more then half fud items were finished. .we got.khichdi.rice.kadhi.dal.gatta sabzi.and few dry rotis.in donas.and steel plates to. . eat in 500/- per head.I was almost feeling nausea while eating there. .and ended up eating one dona of rice and kadhi in 500/- rupees and in total for full family 3000/- rupees

On the contrary the diners rush was too much and management was not doing anything to assure customers or to do better arrangements. .water was not a available. .to drink.

We reached our hotel.at 12:30 midnight after such horrible and disappointing experience. .and clueless .

Please don't plan to go to chokhi dhani in your travel itinerary to jaipur. .whenever you go.it is a much hyped tourist destination. .and can get much better option in city to eat.instead of wasting petrol and money as it is not in jaipur and on highway very far from jaipur.

Please save yourself from going to this place
Oct 07, 2014 01:10 PM 13521 Views

I visited choki dhani on 4 October, 2014. It was nothing but "EXTREME MISMANAGEMENT". Due to long weekend, it was extremely crowded, so the staff was unable to serve so many people. I don't understand that if you do not have provision to server so many guests then why the hell don't you limit the number of visitors per day. We(and everyone out there) had to wait for 3-4 hours in line to eat food. Even after so much waiting we saw no hopes of getting the seats for next 1.5 hrs.

So, after so much frustration we got to the choki dhani buffet area as it ws less crowded. I can't explain how me and my family felt on entering the buffet area. IT WAS A MESS. The tables were dirty, used plates lying all around. on tables. floors. spillage all over. So even after such a sight we had to sit there since it ws over 11.30 pm and no restaurant wud have been open then. We realized half of the food items were already finished. So wat we got was. khichdi, roti, gate ki subzi, kadhi without any pakodi, dal bati churma. We were told 3-4 vegetables are finished. Is this what you are supposed to get for 500 rs/ person in buffet?

I wish I had taken pics of the eating area. the garbage dump that was lying around there. So in short we wasted Rs 3000+ car fuel to reach this place n it was just disgusting. I would try to save as many people as I can from going to this place coz I don't want anyone to go through so much frustration as we did.

It is a traditional village resort
Jun 14, 2013 04:56 PM 6132 Views

Chauki Dhani is a traditional 5 star hotel in Jaipur and it`s suitable for everyone. It is just a village resort in Jaipur. It is a night special hotel in Tonk Road, Jaipur. There are three types of rooms like Cottages, Royal Cottages, Haveli Suites. Guest can also take enjoy in the Chandi Meal Bar which is a special dance bar in this hotel. It gives the ethnic village feeling to all travelers. It is an average price hotel because the entry fees of this hotel are just Rs. 300 and after that money will spend on your requirements. It is a best night stay hotel. Traditional Rajasthani dance with a drink is a special thing.

I spend 1 night in Chauki- Dhani with my friends on January 2013 and found that this is a fantastic hotel in Jaipur for all. When we made a plan for Jaipur and made a call for booking this hotel then there was no available room in this hotel. But when we had booked this hotel with Goibibo.com then I found an available room. I booked royal Cottage room in Chauki-Dhani with my friends. Thanks to Goibibo.com which provide me the room in the best hotel in an easy way.

One word which comes in my mind for this resort is “WOW’’.  Separate cottages, earthy exterior and contemporary amenities. One of the best resorts I have seen so far. You’ll get some really good food here. I am in love with this serene place.

Will definitely revisit soon!!!!
