China Bowl is a popular Chinese Restaurant in Southern Avenue area. I first visited this place in the year 1996. As we were students, it was difficult for us to eat as per hour heart content seeing prices of their items. We landed up eating chowmin and chili chiken, which was OK. but the prices were higher.
There after, I have visited at least 10 times to this place mainly for some client meeting work etc. I had to choose this place as the location is really good.
They serve decent food, quality is OK, staffs in the restaurants are quite courteous and helpful, but the prices are always on a higher side. I am saying it, because, I have experience eating Chinese foods all over the city with much better taste, but with lower price.
I think as they also serve liquor, the rate of this place is higher.
I like the quiet ambiance though, most of the time less crowded, and in an air conditioned atmosphere you can easily discuss complicated work related issues with your clients.
I prefer visiting this place mainly for the ambiance and location, not for the food honestly. Though, I like their Haka Noodles.
I recommend this place if you are looking for a quiet dining experience and ready to pay high price for it.
