I had given my Honda City for a 55K service on 6th Jan'15. my complaints were:
Noise in the front right side wheel when I run on potholes
Horn has to be replaced
Headlight alighnment for left side light
General service of oil change
estimate was given as Rs.5000/-
I get a call on 6th evening saying that they have noticed the front brake pads were wornout and would last only for another 500kms. I appreciated their eye for detail, however he said it would cost about 4500 and another 1250 for disk skimming, as this is essential. and additional labour of 450 for break pad replacement.
I chase up with Senthilnathan and he tells me at 5:30pm that Brake pads were out of stock and he will get it the next day( 7th Jan). and when I enquired about the status of the noise that has been coming when running on the pot holes, he said he will check only after replacing the brakes, and said the vehical would be ready for delivery on 7th evening.
Today, 8th Jan'15, I go to their workshop in OMR road at about 12:30pm, and they make me wait for 45 mins before giving the delviery of the car. taking the vehical out with good intent, I just took a turn out of their gate and realized the first fault. the horn was as bad as it was before. immediately, I turn back and ask the service engineer what is this. hje gives a cool reply saying they did not have stock and have just adjusted the same.
my question is. why was I not infomred about it?, they had all the priority shown for the brake pads and skimming, but did not give importance to my request of something that I have to use on a daily basis? well, that's the attitude they have shown.
I felt cheated and was consoling myself that these guys have messed on this area alone. however, my doubts starting coming up. I quickly referred to the invoice and saw a charge of AC Disinfector. immediately I opened the dashboard and pulled out the AC filter that is placed above the foot area of passenger seat. To my surpirse and as expected, the filter was with enough pollen to make their claim ridiculous.( see attached picture). I call back this Senthilnathan and he gives a reply loaded with attitude " my assessment is that we have done a clean up and it is clean".
I am yet to check if the headlights have been corrected and also want to check if the noise is coming. plus I will have to check if they have actually changed the engine oil and filter component.
People, and specifically people at Honda cars. you need to understand that service centers are not money making spots. if this is the kind of attitude then its time you stop putting up your brand name at these looting centers.
Total bill I have paid for this service is 11, 418( 7699 for parts and 3719.12 for labour charges). and all I feel is that I have been cheated to every rupee charged
