Cafe Nomad, Sector 7, Chandigarh

I am pleasantly surprised by the fact that this type of food is now available in Chandigarh. Food is excellent and prices are reasonable. Three of us had soup, dinner and dessert for Rs.1500.

They did not have many customers, so I am worried that whether this great cafe would be around when I visit Chandigarh next.

There location is not great. Not many people are even aware of their presence here.

I can't forget the fateful night when my wife and brother-in-law and I went to cafe nomad. we had pita bread that was like dried papads. pistachio hummus, that was going to screw our digestion and result in serious food poisoning. I searched and contacted Mr. Abhay the owner and informed him that all of us had food at his outlets, lunch at orchid lounge and dinner at cafe nomad.

We all ended up suffering major food poisoning. not only was the hummus/pita bread rotten, it was most likely fungus-infested. until we drained the food out of our systems, it was impossible to feel normal again. we are damn sure that things are not stored properly at these outlets. I'll be honest, we were fans of these outlets till this experience... never heard back from abhay, , so much so for the feedback!! sick place...

Cafe Nomad by Backpackers. .

It is located in sector 7 and serves the best of dishes. I have just been there once and have loved it to the core.

We were 3 of us and ordered pita with hummus and another dish that had chicken bell peppers and spring onion stuffed in pita bread. It was kind of a roll . Both quality and quantity were great but I found it a bit over priced.No grudges because just thinking of the dish reminds me of the taste. It feels the tastes r still lingering in my mouth . I wish to visit there again and again and again.
