Arthur Frommer the man who writes Travel Books also publishes the BUDGET TRAVELERS MAGAZINE. It is a bi-monthly Magazine and I just received my May 2002 issue.
I love the look of the two happy gents, (the one in the 'Tilley Hat' is the cutest), who grace the cover of this issue. The largest article that is on the front page is 'Eloping on a Budget'.
THE REGULAR FEATURES ARE:
A message from the Editor.
Feedback (letters to the Editor).

Nomad's Notepad where you can read about medieval Spain, over eat in NYC or Washington, DC, meet some reptiles in Thailand or downsize in the Philippines. This is the 'funny' part of the Magazine.

THE SPECIAL FEATURED ARTICLES ARE:
When I looked inside the magazine I found the article on page 88 and was written by Lisa Tabb and Sam Silverstien. They suggest that you can save thousand of dollars if you have your wedding and honeymoon at the same time. They should know as the eloped 10 times!
The L.A. to San Francisco highway is called the 'Road of Dreams'. The article was written by David Howard and it's on page 82. It is interesting to read about how many places you can see in a weekend.
On page 94 you'll learn the Romania is the cheapest place in the World to visit. It's an interesting article written by J. Dahlia Cunnigham.
Author Margie Rynn writes about the 'Wonderful Little Hotels of Paris', (page 100). I found it interesting that most of them were the same as when I was a Travel Agent.
If you haven't planned your summer vacation yet you'll want to read about the 'Forty Best Bargain Vacations For May, June and July' starting on page 106.
Susan Selieger writes about how to 'Spend Your Next Holiday Learning How To Cook' in her article about 7 places she has found in the U.S.A.
THE PRICE:
I don't know what a single issue costs but my yearly subscription costs me $20.00 CAD, (and in the U.S.A. it's about $12.00
MY THOUGHTS
If I didn't enjoy the Magazine I wouldn't have a subscription. Now that I'm not a Travel Agent I don't get the discounts I use to. I find by using THE BUDGET TRAVEL MAGAZINE, (I save them), we can cut the cost of any vacation we take.
I believe there is a trial offer if you subscribe soon at:
