When it comes to epilators, Braun is the most popular option - and the only good brand that I know of. I received this one as a gift from my sister. This is one of the basic or lower end models. I have later tried another model - a high end one, so I believe this one removes fewer hairs at a time and hence takes more time.
But I have discovered to my loss that epilators are not my thing. Getting all of it off in one go through waxing is much faster and less painful. For people like me who find even waxing painful, will find using epilators like a way of slow torture. Coming to the product, it is fairly simple and easy to use and easy to clean - you get a brush with it. They should increase the length of the wire(that can be plugged to a power outlet) though.
Higher end models are somewhat faster since they generally remove more hairs at a time and have many attachable heads - for underarms, for legs et all(wink, wink). But seriously, I couldn't care less. This basic piece is enough - attachments don't really seem useful, faster is better though.
For those who have ingrowth after waxing, you will face the same problem while using epilators - since epilators work on the same principle - pulling the hair with the roots. Also, like waxing, the effects will remain for a pretty long time, till the hair grows back again. As compared to waxing, I believe, the growth is in fact slower and lesser. My opinion, and I have used only a few times, so might as well check other reviews. I experienced a lot of ingrowth(I have it with waxing too), so did not continue. For first timers, I would suggest first try a friend's epilator to see if you like it, and only then invest in one.
