Before I could think of experiencing what people often call as Jet lag, a trip to Bournemouth was waiting for me. The place is about 2 hours drive from my place (High wycombe, which is 35 miles from London). From London it should be lesser than that. It is a beautiful town near the coast.

Our gang consisted 6 guys; we parked the car in a parking zone opposite to an Imax theatre and went straight into the town center for breakfast. ‘Town center’ is one term I find in almost all towns. I guess it is that way in this part of the world. This busy looking place with floating population had almost all famous eating outlets like Subway, McDonalds and so on. We chose McDonald and had to eat a veg. burger without any choice, being a vegetarian (Vegetarian immigrants seriously suffer in this country). There were lots and lots of other shops and almost all of them were on sale.
Then a walk through a park got us to the beach. On the way we could find hot-air balloons (way too costly for a ride; me still in multiply by 88 stage) and some mini golf-grounds.
Exchange rate: 1GBP = 88.68 Rs.
The beach entrance had some small street shops and couple of games like bungee jumping. We tried to get a peep into the Aquarium. But felt 12 GBP, might not be worth for the aquarium. So without wasting much time we went straight to the beach.
The Beach
Yes, the typical beach of the west - Men and women half nude, trying to get some tan. The coast was a very long one, stretching out beyond sight. We walked along the coast without knowing what next to do in this place.
There are also some mini road trains (I don’t know how to call it!), to take you around the important landmarks of the coast (I wonder if there are any) if you are lazy to walk. The beach is well equipped with lots of necessary gadgets. Lots of chairs are available, but at some cost (1 pound – 3 pounds). Food items and drinks cost double the normal price, like in all tourist places of the world. So be prepared and take enough cola cans you might require for a day and food too, if possible.
The beach was not without any activity. Apart from busy couples there were other interesting things like puppet shows for kids going on. We also had got tickets for ride in the cruise to the Jurassic cave.
The cruise ride
Without this the entire trip to Bournemouth would not have been great. From the moment we got on the cruise, we felt the £10 was all its worth. The commentary the cruise captain was announcing had good humor and was informative too. The ride lasted an hour and a half, where the cruise rode past a couple of Islands and finally to a supposed to be ancient cave (?) called Jurassic cave. A couple of rocks were standing tall and that is it, nothing very special about that cave except that it is supposed to be a very old place or something. Then it was drive back to the shore. The time on the cruise was very enjoyable though. There are some speedboat rides and water bikes too, if you dare to try.
For all the walking we had done all day, we sat back in the car waiting impatiently for 2 hours to reach our flats.
The little down sports village
I had to come back to this town the next week too. But not to the beach this time, it was for a sports event that happened in a sports village called Littledown. It is really unfair to call it ‘little’. It was a massive one with almost all games on earth – cricket, football, hockey, volleyball, badminton and a swimming pool (I am not able to list every game available in this place, there are just so many). The stadium was massive and I guess big sports events happen here.
If you don’t like sports, you could spend time here enjoying the swans and the ducks in the stagnated water inside this sports village.
To summarize, Bournemouth is a good holiday spot for the summer. Apart from travel, you can finish off the trip for about £30, even if you are a lavish spender.

Dear Mr. Faisal,
You know Ketul had written to you directly. He was in the big loop of the genuine appeal. Why would you want to Ban him? Why would he write that email if he could ask you directly?
This big cry on the home page did not appear saying ‘I am driving some changes …’ when people were crying for improvements with reviews and emails. And it appears when you get an anonymous email. What do you want us to infer from this? If I reveal how it appears to me, I am sure you would want to remove this review off.
I could see one more thing; the sender of that anonymous email only has intentions of making MS better and only his wording might be negative. An open support to the anonymous emailer for his intentions (except that he should have revealed his name)
My email id is envy.ram@gmail.com. Please do mail me if you need good decent ways (ideas) to increase hits and to promote your website (Please note that this has no direct or indirect reference to the home page post you have recently added. After all, I have been a MS member for about 8 months now and would I not be happy if more people visit Mouthshut).
Best regards,
Vinayak
