Boss is indeed the boss

Boss is indeed the boss of my kitchen. This slim hand blender has really made life a lot easier for me.

I earlier (prior to ''Boss'' days) used the mixie for everything. But then the cleaning of the mixie and then keeping a big machine on the platform at all times, all these started grating on my nerves. And then I just chanced upon this Boss utility product. Boy, am I glad I found it and had the good sense to buy it!

Being small, it is convenient to keep and does not take up space. Fill it ,shut it and then blend it! Its so easy. I make my chutneys and other wet grindings in Boss. It is good for pureeing tomatoes and even soups.

My only complaint is that it cannot blend dals for idli and dosa, the way in which a mixie does. If the Boss had been able to do that also, I think I would have chucked away my mixie. It is very good for finely chopping onions too.

Once while grinding coconut chutney. the blade broke but I went to the Boss showroom and got a new blade. Now its as good as new.

I feel Boss should become a part of all households, it is really a very handy item. Ideal for those hard pressed for time and space.

Unknown BOSS but pioneering work
May 16, 2001 12:29 PM 8638 Views

While the Boss company was comparatively unknown (not like philips which is into home appliances) they can well be called pioneers in the hand blenders revolution. They have carved a niche in the kitchen products segment.

They are like what Anjali is to tomato slicers, or what Clearline is to home soda maker.

The product bought on the behest of the retailer, has worked really well.

The product has been in extensive use since then and has replaced quite a few manual kitchen equipment.

Now in use for 3 years, it has been serviced only once, last month. And is back in action as new.

Heartening thing is that in-spite of a spate of launches by Softel and Philips, Boss continues to be popular in most homes for hand blenders
