If anybody want to start flying as a career and choosing this flying club as good institution, then certainly you are wasting time and money. infrastructure - not good. maintenance of airplane - OK. state of the art facility - not at all, which is required now a days to learn advance technology for glass cockpit environment. Expensive - too much.

airspace limitation - yes. This problem is always there as it is very close to Mumbai domestic/Intentional airport.

Recommended - not at all.

  • The Bombay flying club does not has great framework, it got only one building, no rec center for diversion.

  • container nourishment is terrible, its not clear and it won't resemble a sustenance eating flask.

  • no grounds situations are accessible here, so work assurance is question mark?

  • It has made the flight controller close down its pilot preparing program briefly.

  • imperfections might be happen on documentation, printing botch in DGCA declaration.

  • preparing address will be exhausted like perusing notes what there in given notes, they wont give additional notes.

MY VERDICT:-

It has well experience yet at the same time it need to create.

I have personal experience here and it is a bad one. I had approached them for renewal of my licence. I needed to fly 3 hours. The offical told me that it would take 2 days at the max.

I was given the contact details of the concerned flight instructor. The instructor informed that there was fuel shortage and that I would have to wair for a week. This delay was very disturbing for me.

A reputed flying school like Bombay Flying Club does not have fuel! Sad!

Secondly their flying happens in dhule which is not an easily accessible place from Mumbai. That airport does not have instrument landing facility hence they have to fly to another airport for that exercise. Again that is very disappointing.

The charges they quoted were also a little steep compared to some other flying clubs. Well in my case that fuel shortage delay kept increasing and that instructor had told me she would get back to me when she finds a slot for me. However that never happened. I never got that phone call and I eventually went to a flying club in hyderabad as I couldnt wait any longer as my licence expiration date was fast approaching.

Overall anyone can conclude how unprofessional and careless the staff and instructors here are. I would not recommend Bombay Flying Club to anyone. Sorry guys.
