Bhismaknagar Reviews

It is a holy heritage place
May 25, 2015 07:13 PM 3314 Views

I visited Arunachal Pradesh in the year 2008 with my friends on a holiday tour. One of the most unique place which I was able to explore was Bhismaknagar which is a sacred and the    archaeological heritage place of Arunachal Pradesh. It is a pilgrimage site for the Idu Mishims Tribe who belong to one of the primitive tribal communities of Arunachal Pradesh.

The fort has its unique structure which resembles to that of a temple scattered in large area in small partitioned built building. It is also surrounded by big mountains which enhances its beauty with cold wind always blowing and greenery all over the place. The top most view from the fort provides a panoramic view of the entire region.

The fort has some historical collections which symbolizes its culture and traditional lifestyle like potteries, terracotta figurines, terracotta plaques, and decorative tiles that were found during excavation. A visit to Bhismaknagar in Arunachal Pradesh will undoubtedly make the visit memorable.
