Badhaai Ho Badhaai the title track sung by Udit Narayan is a slow paced number which is not likely to be remembered after you have heard it. Teri zindagi mein pyaar hai is one song which has three versions in the album.

Jogan Jogan sung by Preeti-Pinky and new singer Kunal is the best song of the album and is quite catchy. Raag banke pyaar chhaye is a soft romantic number which stays with you. Dil vich vich rukda sung by Sonu Nigam and Anuradha Sriram walks a thin line between good and ok. There are parts of the songs you wish weren't there and there are other parts which you like to listen more.

Sonu Nigam and Alka Yagnik voice Thehro zara which is a respite even though it is not the best thing that happened to us. Sonu Nigam sings again in Dil bataa mere dil bataa which is a peppy number.

The first one is sung by KK and Alka Yagnik. The next two versions are sung by Alka Yagnik and KK in solo versions. Though the song is good but too much of it leaves a bad taste in the ear.

Anil Kapoor struggled on his way to get a job after getting First Class in B-Com studies. Next to his rented out house; which he shared with his friend, was a ladies hostel which featured Florance (Kirti Reddy). As she and her group were trying to find a good tune to a song for a contest, Anil Kapoor indirectly helps her and Anil Kapoor falls in love while she treats him as a good friend. As he was about to notify Kirti Reddy, of his love for her, she notifies Anil Kapoor of her love for Ranjit (Vinay Jain). Hearing their plan to marry without their parents consent because of her parents elopement issue, Anil Kapoor decides to pose as the son of the eloped couple.

Chaddha (Amrish Puri) & D'Souza (K.Vishwanath) are two childhood friends. Though both belong to two different communities they share a very cordial relationship. Even their sons Jaasi (Govind Namdeo) & Moses (Anand Desai) were good friends. Trouble arises when one of D'Souza's sons and Chaddha's daughter fall in love & much against their families will; they marry each other and run away from their homes.

Ever since then, both families hate each other and to solve this Raja (Anil Kapoor); the son of the eloped couple arrives with his friend to his home town.

Though his uncles hate him, his grandparents, aunties and uncles love Anil Kapoor but none go against the word of Govind Namdeo and Anand Desai; hence Anil Kapoor & his friend find accommodation in the house of a loud, frightful Ghooman Singh (Kadar Khan).

Later, both of his aunts appear before him with marriage proposals and to avoid any more, he says he is married to a Hindu-Christian like himself. Here comes Shilpa Shetty, posing as Anil Kapoor's wife and convinces the rest; causing Anil Kapoor to suffer a bit.

However, when Anil Kapoor' gives her the duty of a wife, she reveals that she is the real child and only daughter of the eloped couple and asks Anil Kapoor why he is acting as the grandson of Amrish Puri & D'Souza. Now it is his turn to reveal his truth and the director plots this very carefully.

Now, both Anil Kapoor and Shilpa Shetty carry out this mission and when Anil Kapoor is seen helping out the lovers in their ways of marrying, Kirti Reddy's father gets notified of this and so the news as fire gets spread quickly and both families now think they have run away and want to kill the members of the other.

Meanwhile, Anil Kapoor has rejoined the friendship of the aunts and the grandparents so the uncles and the lovers is his main concern. He does this at once in style. After the marriage, the truth of Anil Kapoor's appearance is revealed, and when Anil Kapoor is asked to marry Shilpa Shetty, he replies a ''no'' for a good reason.

Badhaai Ho Badhaai's music is nothing to die for but it isn't that bad either.

MUSIC REVIEW

BADHAI HO BADHAI…….IF MUSIC IS THE FOOD OF LOVE……

Being honest to the title , its time for celebration. Just relish.

Badhai ho…… ,.presented by the self proclaimed showman of the bollywood Subhash Ghai ''s banner Mukta arts , is a debuntant joint effort of Anil Kapoor and the director Satish Kaushik.

Bottomline. BHB is a thoroughly enjoyable fare by Anu Malik. It is a fine effort by an otherwise overworked and reckless composer who has lately disappointed music lovers (Ab ke baras , Awara Diwana Pagal). Here he has left no stone unturned in committing 100% to the album , springing up a breezy score which entertains young and old alike. The compositions are positively allevated by Javed akhtar who is now a branded name in the celebraties circle a la Late Anand Bakshi.

The musical score is simply like the sweet fragrance of the first monsoon shower , like the rituals of a typical Indian wedding . Its about togetherness ,family ties , love , bonding , caresses , sacrifice and above all …happiness and bliss in toto. The entire credit for creating such an amazing aura of happiness goes to some meaningful , easily understandable and magical lyrics by numero uno Javed akhtar and Anu Malik who has incredibly presented through his various rich and softcore compositions both racy and bearing a semi-classical touch.

To illustrate , just log on to ''Raag Ban Ke' beautifully rendered by the seasoned Alka Yagnik and the pop maestro Shaan. It is undoubtedly once in a lifetime track. Masterly done, it is a rare display of brilliant music , subtle singing

and amazing words. Exploring the myths , mystery and confessions of mutual love , this song is a lovely creation where Alka steals the show with a thunder.

The title track is a tribute to a typical Indian marriage , family ties and togatherness. Describing the relationships and rituals in elaboration , this track ,sung by supremely gifted Udit Narayan is a likable one which could be the first choice of the marriage season. The entire effort easily makes inroads to your

heart.

'Jogan Jogan ' performed by Preeti pinky and Kunal , though a straight lift from maliks earlier works (Yaarana) is a peppy ,mastbhara score which is highly

enjoyable. It could be a treat to watch on the big screen.

'Teri zindagi me' repeated thrice is the signature song of the album. Alka ,with her high pitched vocal chord is simply enchanting. Giving her the

company is K K , making the composition worth hearing innumerable times. Experimental music and simple lyrics could take it to top of the TRP charts.

'Thero Zara' , 'Dil bata and 'Dil wich ' are fine specimen of Sonu nigams histronics. Though pale in comparison with the rest , these tracks go well

with the peppy mood of the album.

All in all , 'BHB' is lovable soothing collection of some homely songs.

ENJOY!

Badhaai Ho Badhaai is a movie starring the old but looks young(ish) Anil Kapoor, the very good dancer Shilpa Shetty and and the very pretty Kiriti Reddy-though she does not seem all that-I mean what is up with those glasses shes wearing! Anyways the movie seems to be releasing in June/July. But the music is out!

The music is composed by one of my favourite music directors, that is Anu Malik. The singers that he has used in this album are my favourites too: Sukwinder Singh, Alka Yagnik, Shaan, Sundhi Chuahan, Sonu Nigam and Udit Narayan. So that is a wide rande of singers and all in all there are six songs. The title song: Badhaai Ho Badhaai, which is being shown in the promos along with Jogan constantly. This song is really fun and has a very pleasing and exciting feeling to it. The song has been sung by Udit Narayan-he has sung this well. The promos of this song seem really sweet and colourful; this song would be a real treat with Anil Kapoor dancing on screen.

The next song which I'm sure all of you must have heard if not then turn your t.v. or radio on because it is constantly on there...Iam talking about Jogan! This track is by far the best song in the album and probably would be the best picturised song in the movie too. As there are lots of things taking place in the background along with Shilpa Shetty dancing (and she is brilliant-as always!) This song is certainly exciting and has a very good tune to it and always makes me want to get up and dance. The song also has a good mixture of Indian culture, though in some places there are some cheesy bits through the music; but you forget this as the song continues on. I love the ending of this song as there is Sukwinder Singh's alaap in the end and it sounds beautiful!

Next is another one of my favourites, Teri Zingdagi Mein Pyaar... is this is sung by Alka Yagnik who has a the sweetest voice after Lata Mangeshkar. She has sung this song really well. Though this is a simple song, you can love it as much as any of the other songs.

Raag Banke Pyaar Chhaya has a very South-Indian kind of theme to it, but it is something completely different to all the other songs featured in this track. This track is sung by Alka Yagnik and Udit Narayan who make a good pair and this shows in this track.

Thero Zara, is a humble tune sung by both Alka Yagnik and Sonu Nigam, but it seems a bit of a old tune, something like two years ago. But the main tune seems similar to Teri Zingdagi...The main music seems to start after the first verse, and the song overall is slow; but as mentioned it is not too bad.

Last but not the least is Dil Vich Vich Rukda. This song has the remix/Punjabi mix to it. It is a song that you could dance to on a party or wedding. The only bad aspect of this song is that Anu Malik has done that computerised voice (which he used a few years back) which sounds a bit stupid. But Sonu Nigam is the main aspect if the song as he is really good.

Overall this album is not bad, actually it is pretty good, if songs like Jogan and Teri Zindgadi...were not present; then this album would be a miss for sure. This album does have all types of sons: like a masala tune: Jogan and then a Punjabi tune like Dil Vich... So go on and treat yourself to a Jogan!
