The sarees, kurtas, shirts and even the dupattas are soooooooo beautiful! I have never seen such a tasteful collection anywhere. One madam there helped me buy a saree according to my budget and requirement and was very nice to speak to. I had an exchange on my second visit as my mother didn't like the saree I purchased for her and the exchange was done smoothly. Only thing, I was made to wait for about 10 mins while they were checking the saree, which I think is the time they should have at least offered me some water while I waited because I had to ask for it and they didn't offer on their own. But that is not a big issue since apart from that it was all smooth.
I came across Angadi Silks by chance as I was visiting another shop close by. From a distance I thought it was a house with some function going on since it had lots of cars parked in front, on closer inspection I realised its a shop. If I had read the reviews here I would have been skeptical about visiting, but I thank God I didn't just go by that. This is my third visit to the shop and I have nothing but all praises!
A few suggestions to the Angadi Silks would be:
1) Please increase the number of sales people since we customers have to wait to be attended and your showroom is always crowded.
2) Please add some TV/ seating area for men to sit. My father and brother were bored and didn't want to be pushed around by other women trying to see sarees. They didn't accompany me the third time. lol!
3)Please get many more new chairs!
As many have written, my recommendations to customers will be:
1)Visit on a week day- weekends are maddening!
2)If exchanging, carry the bill and/or the tag. WITHOUT IT THEY DO NOT EXCHANGE! Also, I do not think they exchange on Saturdays/Sundays and public holidays. Not very sure of this and you need to confirm with the shop.
3) And my request, please please please control your kids or don't bring the to a showroom like this since it can be very irritating for customers like me who are trying to shop in peace.
4)They have valet parking. Ask for it to avoid blocking the road or car getting towed!
5)Eat and come because once you enter the place you won't get out without spending at least 3-4 hours. Also VERY IMPORTANT- They DO NOT keep sarees aside unless advance is paid.
Overall, I will highly recommend this place!
