Hey all, This is my first review on MS.Hope its a good deal of help to everyone. Well it was the first visit to Alleppey for me and my wife and I wanted to spent it on the beach , but as per caymus's review which said that Alleppey Beach resorts is bad , I decided on the other thing instead-A houseboat... Well that went fine..but after seeing water for 2-3 hrs just like that I just wanted to get ashore!! Next day I got off the houseboat and decided to see the rest of Alleppey.
In the evening we went to the beach to watch the beach fest which was going on. The whole town of Alleppey and many tourist vehicles were there too, all the locals were in a jolly good mood, very friendly too...we were just strolling along when my wife pointed out to the board of Alleppey beach resorts.Anyways we thought we would check it out.
So we just walked on a bit further and reached the place. It has the looks of typical kerala style home, with a few a/c and non a/c rooms .The place seemed pretty nice too , the beach was quiet , just a few fishermen strolling around and a few sitting and repairing their nets which was a huge contrast from the very crowded beach around 200 meters away.
When I enquired at the reception for a room, we could not even get one as all were full.but we were informed that there was a checkout the next day and we readily accepted. The room which we got was a non a/c room, very neatly kept.It was cool due to the sea breeze most of the time and their style on construction, you wouldnt feel the need for an a/c. Secondly the food. .
Really nice fresh seafood is being provided, which when I enquired we got to know that the fishermen provide their catch direcly to the kitchen. Staff were very courteous to see that we were provided with whatever we needed.I guess that was easy since there were only few rooms, service was not compromised. All in one I guess Alleppey Beach Resorts is a place worth staying. Wonder why caymus thought the exact opposite.Whatever!! I guess maybe it just reflects the way a person looks at life...you can look at a glass half empty or half full! Cheers!!!
