Even deads are listening & objecting, wake up now!
Jun 06, 2006 01:33 PM 3740 Views

In the previous review I know I made a lot of funny statements about the great legendary musician, or rather a grand singer – HIMESH RESHAMMIA. Did somebody say presence of filth in my review? Of course I had a lot of it. No not this time. I am planning to be a little serious. Not as much as to be taken to the hospital. No ha ha, hee hee and no jokes please.

I just heard the story of the dead and supernatural being brought to life by the Himesh Reshammiya's song Jhalak dikhla ja, ab to aja aja ... from the movie Aksar. Honestly and frankly speaking, I am not surprised. It was bound to happen someday. I mean, the way he had started irritating the people alive, somebody had to make a stand against the process. But I never knew that even the deceased would come up with their objections. But I can comprehend the logical and mythological significance of the entire story.

When I was a kid I used to hear a lot of stories based on ghosts. Those stories mostly would interest me. In most of the stories, as I still remember, the ghosts either won’t talk while busy in their operations, or would speak in a very nasal voice. My grand mother used to tell me how she had seen such a woman who talked like that, who was considered to be a ghost.

Coming back to Himesh, he has the same style of tossing the words from his mouth. I have always wondered whether the words coming out of his mouth at all comes from his mouth, or from his nose. Isn’t this hardcore talent? If not, what else it? Is it any form of representation of the dead? I am sure that even if this is untrue, then he must be a master of typecasting his voice. Amazing! No? But, unfortunately enough, not all persons dead or alive, like to be imitated. Therefore, they, I mean the dead men must have put through their objections in the form of attacking the villagers in Gujarat. Just to make their active presence and objections felt to the administrators of India. What is more is the song’s choreography! They must be finding it just too much hard to differentiate the actors and dancers in the song, with themselves! The kind of Jhinga lala Africandance they are seen to be doing is really hard to digest.

Oh, I feel pity on them. No, not on the dancers but on the dead people who are still alive with their actions. Either the film makers must invite some of the departed souls to come and show their dancing and singing talents. Or, simply stop mimicking them! Don’t know how to make invitations to them? Ask Ram Gopal Varma, he is a specialist!

As a conclusion, I would rather appreciate the departed souls to have made such a great contribution to such a significant case, which possibly was either not being entertained or not given due importance. I would further forward my suggestion of creating a welfare association for all who leave the world. There will be no entry charges in the club, and a sure shot membership, sooner or later, for everyone.

I am sorry I did not attend to the rest of the songs of the movie. I found a single song to be se very heavy that my shoulder started aching. I could not handle the further pressure. I don’t even have the enough courage to listen to the rest of the songs, I hate all of them through out my body and soul, in and out. Did you find any filth this time? Yes? I am sorry I could not serve any better than this to the singer of the era. Uff.

Aonther sweet honey dipped, melodious song with Kay Kay and sunidhi pairing well. 'Soniye' may be bit weaker when compared to 'Jhalak' or 'Laagi' but still is an enjoyable score nevertheless. May 22, 2006 04:35 PM 2921 Views

I have listened to just three tracks. My fav is soniye...its a very nice song sung by kunal ganjawala.Infact perfect for romancing....the other is d nasal song sung by Himesh reshamiya. The song is jhalak dikhlaja...i will recommend it if u can tolerate himesh voice...i cant but the track is good in the sense that it is very catchy and its one of the chartbuster these days.According to me if it was sung by any other singer it wud definitely be on my playlist...The last one is loot jayenge...its a nice hummable song.has some fast beats in between.i guess u can dance to this track...but the soniye song is the USP of this album.I guess it will aways be on my fav list and rite now I listen to the song once every day. buying this album as a gift wud not be a great idea.but if u want to buy it for urself mayb u can buy. Infact for gifting fanaa is a better option. It has lovely songs.

Aksar Rocks!!!!
Jan 31, 2006 10:40 AM 2998 Views

Himmesh Is Rocking!!!!!. Forget Rang De Basanti, Forget AR rehman. I only liked only one song from Rang De Basanthi the title song.Rest of the songs are not that good.I think AR Rehman Touch is not seen in any songs.AR Rehman is known for experimenting. But none of the songs have that new flair of ARR. I dont want to critisize ARR for that. (Thats why I thought its not worth reviewing the album).

Lets talk about AKSAR Now.

The Album Begins with Ek Baar Aaja Which has the usual flaour of Himmesh in it (the aashik Banaaya aapne flavour).Other songs such as Laagi Laagi has a rajasthani Flavour In it.

The song which I liked the most is Loot Jayenge. Here is the vocal magic of kunal gaanjawala. This song rocks Man.

Every song in this album has its own flair.Even the lyrics are good.Slowly but surely Music Director Himmesh is getting into big names of bollywood.tere Naam,Aashik Banaya .. to aksar every album is good.

Tottally a rocking album. Congratulations to Himmesh. And Thanks for givin such good album.

Too much n too often..!!

Hi all...

this is regarding Himesh Reshamiya (HR)... the much hyped Indian Rock who pretends to be on the lines of much better and soul-stirring Sufi music...this is I think HR's 10th ... may b 15th song in which firstly he came out with a slow no. and then make it's remix which is drum tearing ....!! take the title song of Ashiq Banaya Aapne(AAA), dilnasheen from AAA, Aap ki kashish all have remixe's which to me sounds the same....!! and now he is again with Aksar's like Jhalak Dikhlaja....Mohabbat ki.... great man .... poor antics...!!

I liked his music a lot.... and he has given us hits like ....odh li chunariya...Tere naam(Awesome ...!!) but what he is trying to do now...starting his own group with he as a lead, plus a Rocker-look-like drummer ... a bunch of madly-dancing guys n gals on the backdrop of a shaddy place..... he should focus on his music ... one thing... secondly he should try to sing more versatile songs unlike unnnnnnnnhhhhhhh ...!!!

which he does in all of his songs....

He has a good voice .. no questions over that ... he has a great knowledge of the music.... kudos to him again.... but please HR focus on that and try to come out in a better way....

People you must have listened to aksar's song...''Mohabbet ki Gujarish'' it is a nice song but where the buck stops is when he sings same in his PATENTED REMIX STYLE......Ahhh man....!! But again listen to this song....''Tera Surooorr'' a chartbuster good song....(I hope he is not plannin a remix of tht...)

I Don't know what is going in his mind.... he should sing on a different note I think and may be for different emotions not only for the emotion of heart-break...!!!

Regards

Hello Friends, new year is approaching and so is the heat in the Indian industry wherein all directors and producers are competing with each other to outcast their contemporaries. Here is this new album in the market that I heard last today and I was taken aback listening to the album....each song reminds me of some song that I must have heard some time back but unable to recall the song here I'm writing this review for the listeners....who knows if tommorrow you are listening to this album even you may undergo the same experience. that time you can just mail me and tell.....anyway lets look into the album: -

 • Jhalak Dikhlaja

Singer : Himesh Reshammiya

Music Director : Himesh Reshammiya

Lyrics : Sameer

I would say Himesh is a better singer than music director....his last song created ripples in the city of glamour and his recent (this song) venture promises much more. ''Aashiq banaya se aapne subko apna deewana bana liya...lagta hai is gaane se aap unki pehli or aakhri pasand ban jayoge''. this song is the highlight of the album....Himesh, here is a suggestion from my side..''why don't you take up singing as your full time proffession''.

 • Jhalak Dikhlaja (Remix)

Singer : Himesh Reshammiya

Music Director : Himesh Reshammiya

Lyrics : Sameer

Remixes in the album are the recent trend in music industry...why let some stupid remix your song and kill the spirit...when you know how much hard work has been put in the making of the song then why not remix thye song and maintain the dignity....this song has nothing special to offer...just bit more loud version.

 • Jhalak Dikhlaja (Unplug)

Singer : Himesh Reshammiya

Music Director : Himesh Reshammiya

Lyrics : Sameer

Nothing much to say here as well. his time its unplug version...what unplug is makers of albu talking about is far from my knowledge and understanding...just to fill the space in the album they come up with the idea of putting the remixes but how far will this new practise take them is unkown to me. Anyway lets see how much will this remixed song will work....and can you believe all the remixes are the xerox version of the original.....then why do they need to put remix there.

 • Lagi Lagi

Singer : Himesh Reshammiya, Sunidhi Chauhan

Music Director : Himesh Reshammiya

Lyrics : Sameer

This song makes a good listening but you tend to get bored after listening it for quite some time. The lyrics could have been much better but still you get the feeling that this song is the one you heard last time somewhere...anyway it may just be my imagination therefore lets keep it aside. The song has nothing new to offer but that doesn't mean that the song is good for nothing. Listen and tell me later.

Lagi lagi(Remix)

Singer : Himesh Reshammiya, Sunidhi Chauhan

Another remix...O GOD I'm bugged....why do they need to put remix of each and ecery song...a faster version indeed and bit louder...otherwise there is hardly anything new to look out for.

Loot Jayenge

Singer : Jayesh Gandhi, Kunal Ganjawala

Music Director : Himesh Reshammiya

Lyrics : Sameer

Oh...this song comes as a treat after a chain of Himesh's songs. he voice is soothing though hard....lyrics are simple yet you wanna listen to it again and again. A nice song that has nothing special to offer...

Loot Jayenge (Remix)

Singer : Jayesh Gandhi, Kunal Ganjawala

Music Director : Himesh Reshammiya

Lyrics : Sameer

Another remix...well don't blame me...I can't help it.

Listen to it and forget me writing about it...

Mohabbat Ke

Singer : Himesh Reshammiya, Tulsi Kumar

Music Director : Himesh Reshammiya

Lyrics : Sameer

wow.....this song is good and would say the best compostion promised by the album. Its good and makes a good listening.

Mohabbat Ke (Remix)

Singer : Himesh Reshammiya, Tulsi Kumar

Music Director : Himesh Reshammiya

Lyrics : Sameer

Forget about the remixes but this one is good.

Soniye

Singer : Kay Kay, Sunidhi Chauhan

Music Director : Himesh Reshammiya

Lyrics : Sameer

Well this song has something new to offer...listen to this song nad you'll realise that the album is really worth and you will be surprised to know that the lyricrs are also hitting.

A good song in the album.

Theme Of Aksar

Music Director : Himesh Reshammiya

Lyrics : Sameer

Its also good and you won't be complaining if you buy this album.

This album is meant for the beating hearts and if you have a heart that you wanna give to someone than buy this album.

Himesh is doing it Aksar (***1/2)
Dec 24, 2005 12:32 AM 8484 Views

Album: Aksar

Genre: Hindi Movie

Music: Himesh Reshammiya

( Heavenly, Exhilarating, Delighting, Pleasing, * Hurts Ears)

Himesh has managed to do it again. He doesn't have very new tunes and openly admits this fact too. All the songs have been made keeping in mind the commercial aspects.

In short: This is going to be another successful album. Himesh is going great guns both as a singer and as a music director.

Prologue:

Any tune that is a rehash of an old tune just grows on you immediately after you hear it for the first time but something different happens when you hear a fresh tune. This is why AR Rahman's songs take time to get popular but once accepted by the audience just keep bursting music charts.

Himesh has struck a balance in this one. There are a couple of simple tunes, one instrumental and a couple of experimental tunes. All songs come with the remix version (probably due to the success of Ashiq Banaya Apne remix songs).

I got this album added but could not write the first review thanks to a client meeting. Newys, you comments can make up for everything.

The numbers. oops.. tracks:)

I am not going to discuss these songs in the order in which they appear in the album. I am not going to discuss singers. A song that sounds good is good enough no matter who sings it. Right?

'Jalak Dikhla Jaa' is going to rock the music scene soon and will find favour with the DJs all over India. This song comes in three flavours - original (slow) and remix (fast). The original one is very shrill and may not sound good on average speakers. Remix is probably going to be more popular. This song is an 'eight beat' composition and has a very simple tune which is hummable. A clear winner. (1/2)

'Mohobat Ke' is an intelligent re-programming of Himesh's earlier song 'JanabeAlee' from the album Silsilay. The tempo is 30% to 40% higher in the remix and 15% to 20% lower in the slower one. Also the pitch is a bit different but the song again remains the same 'eight beat' composition. Advantage of composing on computer!

Remix version again should be very popular given a trance effect on top of a simple hummable tune. (1/2)

Loot Jayenge is in parts copy of 'Pyar Hame kis mod pe' from Satte pe Satte and then a few intelligent interludes to make it sound different. Again, the tempo is the key. It has been changed. A 'four beat' song, this does not sound to me as a chartbuster. But you never know with the public. The Rabba ve Rabba khair karen line is catchy and definitely makes it a better hearing than it could have been otherwise. You will notice many heard-before tunes mixed together in this single track. ()

'Lagi Lagi' is an average track based on four-beat scheme. The remix is a bit too fast and the original a bit too slow to leave any impact. Still does not hurt ears.(**)

Theme of Aksar is based more on symphony rather on beats(eight again). This composition sounds promising. ()

'Soniye' is the best track in the album. It is a six-beat composition but sounds like a six-and-half-beat one. It is not just more pleasing to hear but also refreshingly different from other songs in this album. This song will take time to reach the top but when it does, it will stay. (1/2)

Soniye Remix isn't as delighting as the original one.

Epilogue:

All songs sung well. You will need good speakers to enjoy it to the fullest as some songs are really shrill and would hurt your ears on lesser speakers.

Overall, an album done for commercial success more than for creative satisfaction. Should be at least a moderate hit with the audiences.

Had lost the enthusiasm to write as I could not be the first one to write a review on Aksar despite requesting the inclusion of this album this morning. Feeling sad :(

Do rate the review if you read it. If possible, kindly leave a comment too. Thanks.

A Sure SHOT hit album
Dec 23, 2005 10:00 PM 3828 Views

The one thing that comes to my mind after hearing the music of Aksar starring Enran Hashmi,Udita goswami and Dino Morea is amazing.

Himesh Reshmaniya has done it again (behind the mike) repeating the success of Aashiq Banaya Aapne. There are 12 songs in the album(6 of the songs are remix of original). That means total there are 5 songs and a Instrumental.Three song are sung By Himesh Himself(emraan is Born _ Lucky)

First song Jalak Dikh laaja will soon be the craze of the nation, sung extremely well by Himesh and his singing is very different style and it cherishes the memories of Late Nusrat Fatel Ali Khan. The Remix version is more faster and engaging than the original.

And the best is yet to come The Unplugged Version which is soul touching this dosen’t have any Drum Beats.

Second is Laagi Laagi is a erotic number(I have seen the promo) which is very cachy and we will see whole different side Himesh singing which very relaxed and sufiana style.

Sunidhi supports the song quite well. The Remix is fast paced but the original is quite better.

Third is Soniye which sung by K.K and sunidhi which is quite different from KK’s style of singing. But this song takes time to grow on you because the pace of the song changes regularly.Sunidhi has a soothy voice to the song. The remix version will try to titllate to forget the original and grove to this Remixed Track.

Fourth is Mohobat Ke which is again sung by Himesh and its quite refreshing and engaging song. Its also into similar lines of Soniye but still it is born to be hit.

The remix of this trck is simple not too many changes.

Fifth is a average number by Kunal Ganjawala(how can he be behind) Loot Gaye but still easy hears.Rmix version is better more on Beats.Jayesh gives able support.

Sixth is again an average instrumental known as Aksar Theame.

This is Sure SHOT Hit Album.

I am the first after along time to write review on any section.

Comments Please……..

Marry X-mas and Happy New Year.
