Well since food at our office is not so great(not alone to complain this one, I guess) we usually go out very often for lunch and had been sticking to some restaurants which offer good food at a price which shouldn't dig our pocket hard, though not necessarily cheap.
My office in St Marks Road and as anyone would tell, the best best in and around that area are Konark(must taste their dal khichdi), Amruth veg(idli, rava dosa is best), Angeethi(north Indian lunch buffet), Rice Bowl(the best chinese restaurant I have found), Nandhini(not great, but just for change their meal or biryani is ok) .
So, we were getting a bit bored of all these places and thought to try some new place for a birthday treat. We had already caught a glimpse of this restaurant's hoarding near Angeethi but somehow resisted going in. But this time, after a lot of research and finding no other restaurant we finally decided to move in. And what a discovery it was!
The interiors was good and as soon as we settled in we were presented with butter milk and sharbat which was very good on their part. The buffet had enough variety for the price range which is 249+taxes. 2-3 veg starters alongwith one chicken and one fish item, followed by 3-4 chaat items and then main course had dal, pulao, 4 veg curries and 3 non veg items. They had a choice of phulka, kulcha and nan for rotis. In dessert also, they had one kheer, two seets, ice cream and one pastry.
Everything I tried was really good and the best part is the delicacies which are not so common also tasted good like one "tipu ke tappu." Also in our group was one keralite, one telugu, one oriya, one bengali and one from UP myself. So, I guess if we all liked the food very much then it should satisfy 90% of the people.
The price for veg and non veg buffet is same so it's extra variety for non veg people at same price but I compensated the lack of it by quantity.:-) They also have a weekend
lunch buffet priced at 300+ taxes.
I would definitely recommend it to everyone.
