Abhishek, The Hotel, Bangalore Reviews

A nice sweet place to stay
Jan 16, 2010 01:08 AM 1584 Views

If you are a student, a delegate who has come to the city for the very first time. then simply walk into this place. and leave the rest to the staff who'll treat you just like at home.

I have been there. a nice feeling. You cannot expect the urban decor but simplicity at its best.

You have a complimentary break fast served. Please contact the staff and the hotel for the latest deals on all the rooms.

The ambeince is kept simplistic and you will enjoy the hospitality of the staff who welcome you with a warm smile. although its a simple hotel it has all facilities of a good hotel. giving it a shot for a short stay is recommended.

An experience of a good hotel with its simplicity intact and you also save some money.

Go Ahead and give it a shot.

Mainland China

Mainland China is my new favourite.

Location Indiranagar just before the start of the flyover.

Typical chinese place bt lots of differences.

Very high qualiy service from the time you arrive. - Valet parking by default. You are welcomed by a liveried security guard at the entrace while another whisks you car away after giving you a parking token.

All the staff are dressed in black. The hostess and other women staff are dressed in jet black gowns - typical chinese dressing style. The male staff are all in black jackets.

Service starts off with jasmine tea. Endless cups of it in small cute chinese teacups. Unlimited .

Next you have a look at the fat menu card its more like a fat office folder than a menu card. The range is excellent and hte dishjes are briefly explained. With a red chiili indicator for hte spice level.

The starters was vegetable dumplings. Main menu was noodles, fried rice, an aubergine dish, a chicken dish for the noodles and a prawn dish for the rice. All tables have a khimchi kind of salad available at all times.

The dumplings were accompanied by a spinach chutney kind of dish which was ooo lala.

The noodles and rice went around along with teh chicken and  prawns. The  aubergines somehow did not fit the combination we had orderd but  the dish by itself was very good.

Desert was icecreams for all.

Now the service part is very prompt, discreet and efficient. But maybe gte service staff should do with a bit of trainign in explaining about the dishes.

Overall excellent food and far superior to  many of the other chinese  restuarants in the city.

Details:-

Location - Bangalore - Indiranagar just before the flyover.

Time best - dinner - any day .

Price - a bit on the expensive side - it cost us 2000/- for 3 adults 2 children . That is offest by the overall quality of food and service

Ideal for families, groups, and small business get togethers
