10 Downing street is very famous restraunt chain in whole india . And in T.Nagar I found it again . And made a visit here

This evening I order Pasta Alfredo . Food presentation was very Good . Everything is beautifully presented . But if I talk about taste, It was average . I cant say too much tasty food.

Ambience is so Great . You Enter here & feel really what the restraunt should be but if you add some suitable decors than it will look more beautiful.

Customer service is Average . I have to wait and waiters talk to their Colleagues too much .Control that

But I spent 220 rupees on pasta Alfredo .yet food was just an average but all must once visit here for Ambience

Not worth the money !

The night we had gone. it was a DJ night. The DJ was really good and the ambience was also nice. The crowd there is really attractive. The only thing I found as a downgrade was the worth for money. The place is too expensive. We almost cried when we got the bill. The shots are overpriced and even vegetarian food was expensive:|

But I must say the food was tasty. We did have a good time! So its for you folks who are rich and wanna chill:P

Hello Guys,

I went to this restaurant only once that I went for Interview in Chennai. It is a very nice place I have ever seen tii now like this Restaurant because of the maintenance.

It looks like a Mahal inside and very great view. Coming to the Food I have ordered a spicy biriyani with Mushroom curry, the taste is so awesome and I don'i taste anywhere like that.

They are very fast and furious and very descent restaurant that perfectly suits for business meetings and confidential conferences.

Coming to the quality of food it is very good and all the items are freshly prepared and that too available for reasonable price. They had billed me Rs.300/- per and it is very best under that circumstances.

Thank you.

For all the foodies out here I will suggest you to once visit 10 downing street popularly known as "10D." A happening place where you can find your own personal space. If you are not in a good mood and want refreshment 10 D is the place for you. Staff here is so soft spoken, music is nice, ambience scores good and food can also be customized to your needs.

You have both veg and non veg options available here.My overall experience with this place is very nice. A little on the the expensive front but other advantages make it up for that. If you wish to put on your party dress and searching for a place 10D is the perfect choice.

Saturday Happening night, the gathering begins just by 8 and odd yet the place opens up by 7 phenomenal mood and administration. Plentiful auto stopping, just disillusioned thing was the AC was not more grounded when group came, that single-handedly could be overseen well.

The sustenance is brilliant, all transported in alcohol is dam provocative cool??

Prescribed ones in Boose

BAILEY, 666, and tequila shot

Bailey and tequila Shot with fire with the straw of course??????

Carlsberg lager ????is too way amazing, we don't get lagers like this either in our ELITE bars or local people ones

The nourishment is chanceless, extremely delicious

Roasted chicken platter- - assortments of chicken ?? everything tasted extremely well, all around cooked moreover

Chinese platter - Fish ?? sheep squid and prawns were served the LAMB and prawns were super incredible great and yummy

Chicken lasagna: my unsurpassed top picks in Italian food, as I have tasted lasagna ordinarily I would state that the tomato content in the blend of chicken was more which had obviously given the tomato taste notice, which was tiny bit sharp

The administration was astounding, despite the fact that the expenses were higher I gave 200 bucks as tips lol ??

Best gathering spot to visit, entirely couple sections, stags are permitted once in a while, smoking zone is particular, OK DJ and phenomenal place

Look out for their Food/Drinks deal. You will save a lot that way. The drinks are not too expensive like other pubs. Waiters need to respond more politely. Ambience is too good! It is dimly lit and sets the mood. Table reservatuion is recommended after 3 P.M. on weekends. Also, they have a separate theme for each day. So, make sure you visit the place when your favourite genre is playing.

Its suitable for an outing with friends. Its too noisy and dimly lit for business gatherings.

On a weekend night when you want to let your hair down and have a goo time, 10D as the Chennaites like to call it, is the best place to be. Girls, if you are looking to have some fun then no place in the whole of Chennai can come remotely closer to this place's ambiance.

If you are opting for cocktails, order for Pasta in white sauce. It is a gorgeous combination.

It is hands down one such place where I don't mind coming back again and again.

Good Food+Great Beverages+Fun is the best way to define this place. The moment you get in you will get the fun and vibrant feel of the ambiance. Atmosphere is absolutely electrifying.

Mango Bloom(cocktail) along with Butterfly Prawns is something you should absolutely give a try even without thinking for a second. The taste is so great, you will be left yearning for more.

They also have a very cool dancing floor and after a drink or two, you cannot stop your feet from thumping.

The place is an absolute winner for me.

Great Pub

Well Ten Downing Street is undoubtedly the most happening pub in Chennai for various reasons. For me I liked it because of the nice seating & selection of beverages available. Being a regular drinker over the weekends it get a lil irritating when tables aren't available over the weekend, so I usually have a good Saturday afternoon beverage. This one time it was here, we had a great time and service at the start was very slow as I was the first among my group there and my drink took ages to come after which when our group got bigger the service got better.

Food is delicious and drinks are fairly priced however I would recommend a fair amount of money if you really want to take it over the edge. Flaming shots were the popular drinks on our table apart from the usual Jack Daniels & Smirnoff's being ordered. However I failed to notice if they had beer on tap and if they do, its gonna be hard to beat.

On the whole a very nice pub in Chennai.

Worst service I've seen
Apr 10, 2010 03:48 PM 9969 Views

Had been a regular to this place for several years, but never again after today. Booked a table for 8 for their "executive lunch" well in advance. When we showed up on time, we were escorted to a table that could barely seat four. We insisted that they give us another table, they persistently refused.

They kept insisting that eight people could sit there, when it was pretty evident that not more than four people of their so-called "manager"'s size would fit. Mighty embarrassing, especially as two of the party were visitors from overseas. Go there if you like food and give two hoots about the service.

If service is important to you, avoid like the plague.

Firangi Style- Desi Pub 10 Downing Street Chennai

10 Downing Street is a relief for the not so happening night life in Chennai…. Reasons?

Ambience: Their interior is of wood, with green and brown furnishing which gives you a very British kind of feel. Literatures on the Shelves and Signs Boards of London to make a ambience very perfect for the English pub. Comfortable and Cozy seating’s with rotating chairs, couches, lounging chairs and sofas, high standing as well as low standing chairs. A small bar with 3-4 bartenders to help you with the right kind of mix for your mock tails and cocktails.

Food and Drinks- They menu for the food contains Italian, Thai, Oriental and North Indian food with items like Fish and Chips, Lasagna, Steaks . Do try the baby corn salt and peppers for a starter if you wanna go for food.

For drinks, their Martinis are really good with other cocktails like PinaColada. A cocktail would cost you around Rs.300 and a large drink will cost around 180 bucks. .

They serve lunches from 11 AM to 3 PM along with a complimentary beer or soft drink/cocktail/Soup. A Non Veg meal would cost you 250 bucks with options on Oriental, North Indian or Thai and a Veg meal about 150 bucks

Service:The service at 10 DS is pretty good. The stewards always try and make you feel comfortable and see that you have a good time.

Music and Dance:The music at 10 Downing is kind of mixed and fairly good. They do not have a dance floor per say but you can get up from your chair and tap your feet anytime. They do have a small space in front of the DJ box where you can go and do some moving and shaking…

They also have Ladies Night on Wednesday’s never visited though!

Crowd:Majorly youngsters the hippest but also the oldies… Fairly decent crowd

Location: T. Nagar Chennai

Pub Timings:Lunch till 11:30 PM( As per the rule in Chennai)

From the Trident to Number Ten

Act I

So the Arcot bar lost it's appeal after a while and reconnaissance missions to Le Flame at Le Royal Meridien, The Dublin & G2 Lounge at the Park Sheraton and Pasha's at The Park Hotel (a now ageing minimalist joint just off Anna Salai) all completed, I needed to go somewhere where human souls inhabited (reviews on all those to come). I approached my mate, Maneet, on reception at the Trident. Us, both being young guys (ish), must share something! I asked where does a well heeled gentleman such as himself go on big nights out and me approaching my Birthday needed something worthwhile to go to. A few options were laid out on the desk…. And this place called 'Ten Downing Street' looked interesting, the girls behind the desk seemed positive, Jaspreet (the Sales Director) wrinkled his nose and mentioned a distaste for the Heavy Metal music he'd endured there once; naturally if the girls say 'yes', can I say 'no'? C'mon you know the answer!! So off I went in a cloud of cigar smoke, coughing guests left in my wake (a guy's gotta have a presence even if it's for all the wrong reasons)…. Out into the chilly Chennai night air (just said that for effect, no other reason) and cacophony of truck, car, moped and auto-rickshaw engines and horns… oh how I love that noise! Standing in the clouds of Sulphur dioxide, I attempted to thumb down an auto…. Big mistake! One auto driver was not interested unless I wanted to go to the airport! Another had never heard of Ten Downing Street, and finally I made way back to the Trident's reception….

Act II

Plan b was to get a Taxi, so I got Maneet to order one from an outside firm and so one was ordered for Ten Downing Street in T-Nagar and I reluctantly went to the Arcot until the car arrived. Another Kingfisher, my good man!! After about twenty minutes the Suzuki Van that would be my taxi arrived (my chariot for those who want it to be more theatrical) and off we went! Hooray! Off on another adventure! So I thought…. 1 hour later… we have seen the entire street plan of T-Nagar and I am no longer smiling. In fact we've stopped people on the street to ask, we've stopped unhelpful auto drivers, asked at shops, talked to other taxi driving friends and NOBODY has heard of the place. I am feeling glummer than a dog on a Chinese restaurant menu (but they only eat ugly yellow dogs, so that's ok, unless you think it's a discrimination against ugly yellow dogs and you are indeed ugly, yellow and a dog…). The driver has even asked me, I replied "You're the one who picked me up as your fair. This is your home, not mine…. I'm trusting you to know where you're going before you start driving." There doesn't seem to be an equivalent of the 'London Knowledge' with Taxi drivers in Chennai….. Anyway we reached the umpteenth group of people to ask directions from and he got out to talk to them….. Time for my escape!!!

Act III

Plan c, my escape. I slid the side door open and tried to merge seamlessly with the crowd; a bit hard when you’re a foot taller than most of the locals and your face has got 'European Escapee' written all over it! He spotted me and chased after me. "Where are you going sir?" "Well you don't really know where we are, so I thought I'd find someone who does. So see you later." I replied. He was obviously not smiling now either! "but my fare?" And what about that??? My reply was pretty simple. "Mate, I was going to pay you to take me somewhere, that somewhere doesn't seem to have been part of your plan. I'm not paying for a Magical Mystery Tour of T-Nagar. So bye!" He wasn't at all happy with me and demanded payment. I told him to make a complaint to the Trident about me and I'd reply to it. That phased him… but he still followed me, until I swung myself into the back seat of a passing auto (I assure you the seat was empty!) and asked the surprised driver to take me to Ten Downing Street. My ex-Taxi Driver now started shouting for the Auto-rickshaw to stop. The rickshaw started to slow, but 50 rupees convinced it to speed up and go….

Act IV

....and as if by magic the bar appeared! It had a small car park at the front just behind the gates and hedge (good news for designated drivers in your party crowd), and the obligatory security guys on the door. There was no Entrance fee as it was Thursday night, so in I went. On the right, once I was through the front door, was a lounge room and to my left was the main bar area. This was sectioned into four areas; the bar itself, a main seating area (conveniently positioned near the toilets), and to lounge areas either side. I grabbed a business card so I didn't face logistic issues again... and make note of this; the address is 50 BN Road, T-Nagar! Then I settled down at a table ordered a Kingfisher, some nibbles and.... wait for it... a Cuban Cigar (I was well happy).

There was one problem, my evening's escapades meant that the time was now 10:45pm and 11:00pm was closing time. Anyway the place itself? It's real nice with lots of London-ish paraphernalia decorating the walls. In one of the lounge areas there's an impression of sitting in a large study, complete with fireplace, Book shelves, leather seats and dark polished tables. The prices are reasonable too, and you don't have to venture to the bar as the waiters are wandering around all the time. This Thursday night was Karaoke Night and can I say something? You guys in Chennai can sing really well. Some lads delivered an admirable rendition of U2's With Or Without you. But sadly for me the evening was winding down and this would only be but a brief sojourn at this fine tavern.
