HP Deskjet 3940

According to me, HP Deskjet 3940 is not a satisfactory product because it has poor processing and ordinary functions. The speed is unimpressive and has worthless features which could disappoint its users.

The reliability and durability of this printer is very unimpressive.

The durableness and authenticity of this product is not so good.

Printing speed is very slow and time taking.

It has complex processing functions which is hard to understand for non-technical.

I am not so happy with this product. I won't suggest.

Purchased an HP Deskjet 3940 printer a few years ago.Always thought HP was a good brand for some reason.

Changed cartridges, couldn't get printer to stop printing in red cleaned print heads multiple times wasting many

cartridges, searched internet over and over again for a solution.Just cleaned print heads again and changed

3 out of 4 cartridges hoping by luck.

I'm done playing with this printer, still prints in red, now mixed with some black on 1st page, 2nd page is red,

next page fades out, etc.We're not hard on a printer, we don't use it everyday but still need, and expect to be reliable.

When we need something printed it should always print a clean copy.This printer unfortunately appears to be totally

unreliable and since there is no cure for it's illness, it should be replaced.

Hello friends tosay iam sharing my experiance with all of my frinds toady iam saying some of the few pounts of the ho deskjet printer it will be gives the good quality of the xericmx copies to the users nmin the starting days it will very fastly and accuratly giving the eoutput of the xeroc copies so it will be very easy to operate rhese type of the machine so it will be very slow after the some says will be completed to giving the output of the xerox copies so it wilm be some times it wipl be strucks

I want to share my experience.

It is so affordable but according to their price company compromise with quality of the product.

Paper handling : paper handling is not so good.

Eassy to use : it is eassy in use but you can only one time use it. Refilling cost is too high.

Print speed : speed is not good as compair to other printer.

Range of features: no special features given in it.

I am going to share my personal experience about HP Deskjet 3940 printer. This company printer is very popular and many people like this company printer. This printer paper handling quality is good but some time I face some issue.

This printer is very ease of use and every one use this printer without any knowledge. Its printer control is very nice but its color print button is not proper work.

This printer service is very nice and its phone service is also good, my many problems is solve with phone conversion.

This printer, printing speed is poor and some time some paper is break in this printer. Its color print speed is very slow.

This printer feature is nice and easy to handle it, but print quality is not so good.

Hp deskjet is a light weight colour printer which occupies very less area on my desk. It is a powerful printer with no noise. It works very smoothly and prints are very good and fine. Every details in the prints are covered which are shown in the computer.

The price of this printer is very less. overall very good printer to buy.its very easy to connect to pc. I didnt find any problem while printing from this printer. If you are planning to buy a primter then go for this one.

Just Don't Do It.

Don't ever, ever , ever buy this cheap plastic box, this poor excuse for a printer!

You -will- lose your mental health battling with this crap.

Crap junk, sht.

Not the simplest of documents can be excreted out of this without struggle!

I HATE THIS PIECE OF CRAP AND WOULD DO BAD THINGS TO THE PERSON RESPONSIBLE OF PRODUCING THIS JUNK! Yarg!

HP 3940, is one of the cheapest inkjet printers available today. Though it is cheap, it is good. It has a true value for money.

The Design :

Dimensions: w/d/h When ready to print: 16.6/13.6/5.6 inches, With media tray tucked into printer 16.6/7.2/5.6 inches. It is white with gray trim and looks attractive and sleek. The only button on the printer is the power button- to cancel print jobs you have to click ''cancel'' on the computer screen.

Connection:

The printer is connected using a USB cable. This means it can go along even with laptops, which normally lack the traditional printer ports. USB cable is provided with the package. Power supply adapter is also provided.

Features / Specification :

This printer is compatible with Mac and PC, both.

It is a thermal inkjet color printer which can print digital photos as well.

Max Resolution (Color) is 4800 x 1200 dpi. Black Print Speed is 16 ppm and Color Print Speed is 12 ppm.

This printer supports various languages. Basically LIDIL.

Media supported are Cards • Envelopes • Greeting Cards • Iron-On Transfers • Labels • Photo Paper • Plain Paper • Transparencies • Premium Transparency • Premium Photo Paper • Inkjet Paper. Max Media Size is Legal (216 x 356 mm, 8.5 x 14''). The Total Media Capacity of the feeder is 80 Sheets.

The power consumption is 25 watts while working and 4 watts while in standby.

Some of the special features include borderless printing.

Print Output :

Print quality is good, both in colour and black and white. The problem with this printer is that the cartridges have too little ink. Only about 5ml. This means you have to keep replacing them, which works out to be expensive. ($30 per cartridge set.). You can buy a new printer complete with colour abd black ink cartridges for the price of 2 refills. This shows that HP is charging less for the printer and more for the cartridge.

Output quality was at the high end of good across the board. Compared with other ink jets that sell for $100 or less, the 3940 is below par for photos, in the upper midrange for graphics, and better than most for text. The only important shortcoming for photos is differential gloss—a difference in reflectivity for different colors, so that at some angles in certain lighting conditions, parts of the photo appear dull while others look glossy. Most people would consider the output good enough for casual snapshots but not for cherished memories.

Graphics output is easily good enough for basic business applications and marginally good enough to impress clients with your professionalism. It does fall short, however, when printing thin lines, which tend to disappear. Text quality is excellent unless you need to print documents with highly stylized fonts. More than half of our test fonts were easily readable at 4 points, but two fonts with thick strokes needed to be printed at 12 points to be legible.
