Happy international women day. Today I would like to talk something about freedom of girls. Sometimes I think why there are so many restrictions on girls compare to boys. I ask myself is it bad to be a girl.
I am an adventures person I like trying new stuff, doing something crazy, but I have to stop myself thinking I am a girl and it won’t look good if I do it. Is it a curse to be a girl? So many thoughts are going on in my mind. I have always heard my grandparents and family members saying you are a girl learn some kitchen work(which I am not interested in at all) otherwise you are going to come back after marriage. This sentence of them hurt me so bad, now I want to become independent and show them that boys and their family are going to come to me begging and saying please stay with us, I want to become that successful women that I don’t have to ask anybody for fulfilling my dreams, for doing whatever I want to do.
When you are a kid do what your parents say, then do as per your boyfriend or husband, when are we allowed to do what we want? Sometimes I feel like I want to change this world, change their way of thinking, change everything. No doubt I love my parents, I respect them, I also want to make them feel proud, but in all this I also want to live my life as per my choice. I don’t want to lose myself in fulfilling duties of being a good child, a good daughter, a good sister, I just want to be me. That’s all for day, I don’t want to get more emotional.
