The son of filmmaker David Dhawan, Varun Dhawan is an Indian actor who predominantly works in the Hindi film industry. After starting his career in 2010 as Karan Johar's assistant director on the movie "My Name Is Khan," he made his acting debut in 2012 with the teen drama "Student of the Year."
Varun Dhawan became well-known for his roles in Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania (2014), ABCD 2 (2015), the dancing movie, and the action comedies Dilwale (2015), Dishoom (2016), and Judwaa 2. Varun received fundamental acclaim in 2015 for playing a vindicator in the criminal film Badlapur. Varun Dhawan received Filmfare Award nominations for Best Actor for these films.
Varun Dhawan, who is also an actor, has co-facilitated two honor award ceremonies and has hosted in front of an audience on stage. Varun Dhawan hosted the Filmfare and Stardust grant services at a gathering in Hong Kong in 2013. He organized the 2013 Stardust Awards alongside Sidharth Malhotra and Ayushmann Khurrana. Apart from acting, Varun Dhavan also has acted on stage and has put on 2 award decorums. He performed in Screen, Stardust and Filmfare award decorums in 2013 in Hong Kong. The 2013 Stardust Awards was hosted by him along Ayushmann Khuranna and Siddharth Malhotra. Performed on the 20th Screen Awards, co-hosted along Richa Chaddha and Sharukh Khan. In the same year, he performed at an event with Alia Bhatt, Malhotra, Shradhha Kapoor, Huma Qureshi and Aditya Roy Kapur for the noble cause of raising funds for the flood victims of Uttarakhand.
