Theme: This is a story of a man with a past who wishes to keep a secret from everybody and meets a woman unhappy with her married life, their life turns upside down as the story starts to unfold

Significance: Christmas Eve has a lot of surprises, and so does this story where the main characters accidentally meet each other, when in reality it was all a setup, at last one of them sacrifices his/her freedom for others sake of happiness.

Captain Miller - 6.5

Summary: It's a story of a common man turning into a rebellion when he sees cruelty on his people.

Theme: The movie is shot in the British era where they used to oppress Indians, especially the ones from the backward class.

Significance: A rebellious captain and his atypical bandits who pulled off unbelievable heists in the 1930s and 40s, and Miller needs to decide whether to keep fighting or running away from his problems.

Summary: An undercover agent investigates a cop's murder done by a mysterious masked gang member. When he goes deeper into the case it leads him to the Chennai drug lord.

Theme: Set in the contemporary era where a father loses his son who’s a police officer and is killed on duty, as he tries to rise from the sorrow the story becomes more mangled with the surprises that wait ahead for him.

Significance: The story revolves around an undercover agent who stumbles upon a serial killing case that doesn't appear to be one, as he treads slowly in the case everyone around him gets involved leading to a bloodbath

Thiruchitrambalam - 8.9

Summary: A delivery boy who isn't doing too well in life and has personal family issues has a friend who's there to hear out all his problems

Theme: Set in the busy streets of Chennai a food delivery guy juggling his problems and dealing with a father who doesn't get along too much with him.

Significance: This movie is a blend of fun and romantic until the climax kicks in and then it's an emotional rollercoaster of how significant a friend can be in someone's life.

Jailer - 7.1

Summary: Muthuvel Pandian, a very strict but very tender-hearted jailer, sets out to stop a gang that is trying to hurt his family.

Theme: Starts as a story of a retired journalist who has a death wish, but for his son's killers and not for himself. This leads to a very complicated situation, will he be able to pull that off?

Significance: The love of a father towards his son when it appears he's been killed by goons, and how he tackles the problem with the help of his old acquaintances.
