Before entering the film industry, Disha was a very popular face in the modeling world. Disha is also well-known to people from the Telugu film industry as she has worked in the film "Loafer" (2015). 

    She gained notoriety for her role in the 2016 Hindi sports biopic film M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story, for which she was nominated for several accolades, including the Stardust Award for Female Superstar of the Next Day and the IIFA prize for Best Female Launch. The Chinese action comedy Kung Fu Yoga (2017) and Hindi films like Baaghi 2 (2018), Bharat (2019), Malang (2020), and Ek Villain Returns both featured Patani as a leading lady.

    Not many know that Disha dropped out of the second year of her degree and went on to participate in Femina Miss India Indore 2013.
