The redmi company has made another phone named redmi 8a. It is one of the best phone on low price. It is available in 2 gb ram, 16 gb rom and 3 gb ram, 32 gb rom.

The battery is 5000 mAh with 18w fast charging and the charger is type C port.

It has dual sim, expendable upto 512 gb.

The rear camera is AI 12 MP, front camera is AI 8MP. It also has AI face unlock. The screen is protected by Corning® Gorilla® glass 5. It is also good for gaming. As for the price, 2gb ram is only Rs 7, 000. Thank you for reading.

I know this smartphone by Xiaomi might come across as a good budget phone only worth INR 7999 as most other features look decent. Though obviously there's a lot of scope in its configuration because a lot has changed in 2020. However, as the proverb goes one bad fish spoils the whole pond, same is true for this smartphone as well. There are no fishes in the phone, but there's one factor which is capable of ruining your entire smartphone experience. And that factor is the Snapdragon 439 processor. The performance delivered by this extremely outdated processor is slow and sluggish and leads to spoiling the user experience to a level where you just get fed up and feel like throwing the phone into trash. So unless you don't wish to go through that traumatizing experience, I would suggest that you should look for another alternative in budget price but not this one.

One of the most reckless devices I have ever witnessed. I'm so agitated with its performance that I can guarantee you that this is one of the most disgusting devices a company like Xiaomi can come up with. Qualcomm Snapdragon 439 is the processor of the device which makes it pathetically slow. I do not understand the fact why Qualcomm has started delivering such products.

Before you buy Redmi 8A, make sure you use it once so that you do not take a step that would make sure that you have to regret later on. If reckless multitasking, overheating and poor battery backup are the points you care about, I recommend, insist and even warn you not to go for Redmi 8A. You would thank me a hundred times when you get to know about its reviews from your loved ones. The phone is a total mess and people would doubt buying Snapdragon in their entire life.

When the world is using and loving smartphones like Realme C3 which have MediaTek gaming chipsets even in the budget segment, I really don''t understand the move of Redmi to bring smartphones on and on with the old Snapdragon chipsets.

I think Redmi should take feedback from the customers about which chipsets to use and Redmi 8A dual with its Snapdragon 439 chipset is absolutely not acceptable, especially when you can easily proved MediaTek helio g70 and MediaTek Helio g80 chipsets at the same cost.

Besides, even MediaTek Helio P60 and P70 chipsets are available in the budget segment and these are quite good. the customers would love to have them in their smartphones rather than the old Snapdragon chipsets which are absolutely not credible in the present world. I heard that Redmi has launched one more smartphone with the same chipset so I was forced to write this review. All these smartphones are simply a waste of money and they do not provide any significant worth. At such a cost, people can for for smartphones like Realme C3 or Realme 3 and get much better performance at lesser costs.

If you see Redmi 8A's specifications, you tend to believe that it would be a well working device as it is powered by a 2GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 439 processor. For obvious reasons, an octa-core device would perform exceptionally.

On the contrary, when you start using the device, the very thing that one finds upsetting is its processing speed that becomes a reason for lags. Even if you are checking emails, it would not deliver quality that it should. I accept that it just cost Rs. 6, 499/-, however, the performance does not justify that. No doubt, the price is quite reasonable but what is good when it can be a great hurdle in productivity and efficacy. Redmi 8A also faces overheating issues. One has to wait because of its slow processing speed and in the meanwhile, it gets heated and this adds to the inconvenience. The device needs these improvements.

Most features of the Redmi 8A Dual smartphone are alright but there’s one reason why this smartphone is not the best choice for this budget. The 5000mAh battery, the dual rear camera and the 8MP front camera make for a good compilation, but the Snapdragon 439 just ruins the rest of the fun. Hence, even after having such top-notch features at a low price the phone doesn’t perform well because the Snapdragon 439 is clocked at a really low frequency and hence is unable to deliver results as fast as one would expect. Nobody wants a phone with nice features and bad processing, right? In fact, if you really want a super-performer, you should go for Realme C3 with a fabulous gaming processor from Mediatek which is available at a similar price & much impactful performance.

Xiaomi released its Redmi 8A on September 2019 as a budget smartphone. Although Xiaomi’s Redmi series usually comes up with decent devices - the Redmi 8A does not have any amazing or incredible features.

It has a 6.22-inch display with the resolution of 720 1520 pixels. The processor is Qualcomm Snapdragon 439 with 2 GB RAM and 32 GB internal storage. It has a 12 MP rear camera and an 8 MP front camera. The battery capacity is 5000 mAh and it runs on Android 9 Pie.

Except for the battery, the features in this phone are average at best. Redmi 8A’s features seem extremely inadequate when compared with another budget smartphone - Realme C3. At the same price point, Realme C3 provides much better features than the Redmi 8A. This device also has weak low-light performance and is constantly bombarded with spam notifications.

Redmi 8A is one of the most pathetic devices by the company. This will, for sure, prove one of the carelessly produced products by Snapdragon. For unknown reasons, the device fails to work according to the expectations. Redmi 8A will become a reason for Snapdragon to have a dismaying image for good.

From processing speed to battery backup, the device is disappointing users out and out. Charging more and delivering better would be wiser that charging less and delivering pathetically. I am shocked by the way the phone is working. It appears as if the company did not want to launch this product and did it as a compulsion. There is nothing on the phone that delivers quality satisfactorily. Even the connectivity options have issues, and you might feel irritated while trying to connect your device to other gadgets time and again. This is sheerly time-wasting and frustrating as well. When you are using this phone daily after 2-3 week if you click home button it will slow for 2-3 second.

I noticed this problem on my Father phone also.

Well, current users have their qualms with this phone. Users complain about multiple things with one being that the phone hangs a lot. This really inconveniences users. People have issues with the touchscreen display, claiming that the touch screen renders ineffective to the touch. Further, the phone has multiple battery issues which add to the inconvenience. Sometimes, the Redmi 8A also shuts off by itself. People feel that the features don't work properly and that the software isnt on par with expectations. Others claim that the phone keeps restarting by itself. The phone lags in terms of connecting to the internet and Wifi. They claim the connectivity overall is of really poor quality. Although this was manufactured as a budget smartphone - the features integrated within it are still not decent enough except for the battery. Especially when you compare this device to another budget phone - the Realme C3 - this feels extremely inadequate. Moreover, the device has weak low-light camera performance and is inundated with hoards of spammy notifications. On the other hand, the Realme C3 has better features in almost every way and at the same price.
