As you'd sort of expect form a wireless phone. But having said that they don’t work through ALL walls. Walls with loats of steel cause problems. So high-rise building might cause issues. They don’t work whe surounded by lots of radio interference (So much for the shifting phasic radio frequency thingy!). They do however seem to last forever on their battery packs and they do seem to have great speakers. They do in general seem to have crap microphones so no-one can hear you. And the best thing ever is that they often allow up to 10 units to connect to a single base station. The reason for so many units? You can page calls between phones and talk to one onother. So these can work well as glorified walkie-talkies in the office. Perfect for small offices. I'v had mine for 2 years now and wouldn’t part with them for the world.
