I'm using this laptop in my office. This is good related to Touch Gesture, Keyboard Keys placement, Space of Keyboad, Screen Resolution.

But I'm unhappy with the heating up problem of its processor. Even if I use it for 1 hour it starts heating.Secondly, battery consumption is very much. Battery drains in 2 hours or something.

Even sometimes I can hear up some noise near fan and when I seriously hot air is exhausted.

I would not recommend this Laptop.

All HP laptops are good and have better processing speed. I am using hp probook 6550B. It has discrete and integrated graphics.

It contains intel quad core processor and intel dual core processors. The screen is 15 inch. It also contains finger print scanner for security purpose. It is also cheap so a middle class person can also buy it.

To begin with, Probook 430-G1 is not an everyday use personal laptop.

It is a laptop bought by companies at cheapest rates possible and that shows in the way the product delivers. The 430-G1 has more Cons and Pros.

This is my 6th official Laptop(3 of them being Dell; 1 each from Acer & Thinkpad and this HP Probook).

Using since Jan 2015. Number of Laptops ordered for our team 35 pieces. The initial 12 pieces did not come with HP bags. So we continue to use the Dell laptop bags.

Config: i5 processor, 128GB SSD, 4GB RAM, Win7(Corporate Image), 13.3" screen.

Initial impression: I was pleasantly surprised by the light weight construction and pleasing looks(Silver grey on black).

Pros:

  1. Lightweight: as a business laptop, carrying one from one conference room to another is a routine. HP gets 4.5 / 5 for this.

  2. Relatively less occurrence of overheating even after using heavy MS 2013 apps.

  3. Good Battery life:(if it works without manufacturing defects) the battery lasts a healthy 4hrs on moderate usage.

4.  SSD(Solid State Disk): The 128GB SSD reduces the weight of laptop and aids longer battery life(theoretically - reduced power consumption)

5.  After sales support:  Quite quick to respond, even if it is to inform us that the warranty on a particular part expired, or is not covered etc., :) All said, our internal resource allocated to support HP product has good knowledge and quick to respond. May be because it is a corporate deal.

Cons:

  1. Manufacturing defects: 1a.  Keyboard & touchpad: Some keys are hard to depress. e.g., backspace and down arrow in my laptop, left control button in my peer's laptop etc. The touchpad many a times remains defiant to soft to moderate inputs esp, once the processor turns hot due to program load. You either restart the laptop or let it cool to turn subservient. 1b.  Auto entry of junk values: While we are working in an application, this laptop has a habit of entering junk values at random. E.g., ';k', ';', 'p', '^' etc. Our dedicated support team checked and informed that there are no updated drivers released for this laptop and everything looks'okay'. Imagine. you are working on an important client presentation based out of some excel spreadsheet with 100s of rows of data. You prepare everything based on the data where the laptop entered some junk values and it shows up during the presentation. You are doomed. Believe you me. this has happened with one of our colleague. We use analytical apps where data gets manipulated in excel and are uploaded to refresh the app. The mobile app goes live in the client CFO's mobile phone and one of the visual is named as';k'! The guy was an solution architect in the past and understood the issue, which saved our day. 1c.  Battery: The laptop batteries in this series develop a particular defect which shows 100% the moment we plug in the charger. But the battery charging LED beside the adaptor plug shows the correct status(Amber until 90% charge and white for the last 10%). Also it shows 100% all thru, while it runs on battery power and shuts down without giving any warning. 1d. Several issues related to hardware:  One of our laptops required a motherboard replacement while another fresh piece had a defect in the screen color saturation. Another one needed a power port replacement, while my bosses laptop went into a blue screen in 2months after receipt of fresh piece. The new piece has an issue with the adaptor too!

2.  Screen quality is substandard and at best good for viewing presentations. This screen is built to a price and that shows. Video quality is subpar.

3.  SSD Capacity & Performance: 128GB is just not sufficient for a business laptop considering that we install Analytics apps, MS Office(full version with MS Project and Visio), R or SAS, Minitab, Tableau and various other essential proprietary business. Also the performance of SSD is not significantly faster than similar capacity HDD. The system is very slow if MS Outlook, Excel and Powerpoint apps are simultaneously open. Many a times the Tableau will waffle upon launch and a system restart is needed to get it going. Other than the Acer laptops which we used, we have not seen any other laptop having so many issues.

Conclusion:

Not a good personal laptop to buy with your hard earned money.

When we first came across this laptop late last year it cost around £100 more than it does now. Back then we thought it was sturdy and versatile. We hold to that, although we should note that the build isn’t what many might first expect.

Easy to carry and work with sleek, stylish design

I am using HP Pro book 450 g2 from last 3 months as I am having IT background and it is my requirement to have a good conditioned laptop with me. I did enough research for this product it before buying it. consists of all basic features with high resolution screen and looks attractive with black color. All USB ports on the device are very well working and I can do work comfortably.

Talking about key board, each key is smooth so typing speed is not affected. I am working on large screen of this laptop and happy with the performance. The best part is the graphic card where gaming takes you to another world itself. The gaming experience on my pro book is the best as I never face lagging issue or low resolution problem. I would recommend this product. Good features, not that much heavy so you can carry at any place.

An economical laptop
Feb 02, 2016 08:35 AM 3685 Views

This ProBook 450 G2 has a lot of properties which is expected from a business machine. It comes with a good processor, which delivers satisfactory processing performance for a lot of application situations. This notebook always works gently and hardly gets heated up.

The power consumption is comparatively less and the battery runtime is quite good. HP has integrated a reasonably dark, low-contrast laptop model with HD resolution. I would not highly recommend this laptop machine, but yes it is a value for money. One can go for it if he is an HP fan. As, some of the properties are non-comparable.

Fantastic product
Feb 01, 2016 12:59 PM 3556 Views

The HP ProBook 450 G2 is an excellent business laptop that comes in a very reasonable price. I love using this laptop because it contains all the basic features. I personally feel that it is the cheapest business laptop. The battery is excellent as it lasted for long hours.

I am completely satisfied with the hard disk capacity because it is enough to store large data due to its 500GB capacity. It is very easy to handle because it has only 2.2kg of weight. I can take my laptop and place it in sofa, dining table and everywhere I want because it is very easy to carry.

The Battery drains in an hour. I got the battery replaced from HP( after checking every battery software recommended by HP.

And still getting 1 hour life even after the fact that their software was showing Good Battery) but once again after 1 month the battery life is reduced to 1 hour. The service center will ask you to leave your laptop for about a week before coming back to you.and my battery was blast

Nice and friendly interface

I have seen the video . This laptop has attractive design .  It has Windows 8 Pro installed which is awesome . It's processor is very powerful(intel core i5) . The graphics are good and the display is nice . It is very slim as compared to Dell .

The camera is little bit low 1.3 MP . But all the features are good . The battery timing is good . It has very nice touch pad . The Ram is 4 GB ddr3 . The graphics card is intel . Intel graphics card is smaller in design and is very powerful and reliable . This laptop is good for heavy duty tasks .

OLD IS THE NEW GOLD
Jan 29, 2016 04:39 PM 3600 Views

This is a complete business laptop which is sticking to the classic windows 7 instead of windows 8. The outer look is exceptional considering its price in the market. A metal type structure has been used for the keyboard and the outer chassis has a rubber coating.

This simply means that it can survive some falls! There are considerable numbers of USB ports which help you connect your laptop to the TV, if you want to watch a movie in a bigger screen. The battery life is amazingly good, provided you are not out for the whole day. If you are planning something like that, then, in my opinion keep your charger in the backpack. But if you are going for a conference, charger will definitely be not needed.

Hp probook 4430s is awesome
Jan 23, 2016 04:01 PM 3766 Views

I am using this pc one year.very good laptopThis 4430s(Core i3-2310M, 4GB) performs as expected, considering the suite of hardware and software it has. The i3 is just now becoming available after Intel had some time to market the more expensive i7 and i5 processors.

The Core i3-2310M performance turns out to be pretty impressive, and some tech-lab reviewers might report on the benchmark numbers for this configuration.

From my subjective point of view, it is very fast, even for video editing and reformatting of full 1080 HD content. Photo editing is fast for my 10MP RAW files with only a couple of seconds of time lag for extensive resampling and image modification. CAD runs fine with the new on-board Core i3 Intel graphics, but of course a small laptop display is not appropriate for serious CAD productivity.

It can do CAD in a pinch though, and that’s good for my type of use in engineering mapping and surveying. The standard office applications can all be run simultaneously with no perceptible time lag or slowdown. Web performance is as fast as your network connection will allow. I don’t do gaming and that’s not what this machine is for anyway. I think the(2nd Gen "Sandy Bridge") Core i3 is going to turn out to be a high-value "sleeper" offering more performance per buck than the higher priced processors.

Ask yourself what you really need before you buy more expensive processing power that you may not ever use! The 4430s is physically well built. The metal cladding is nice and the user interface tools(keys, screen, touchpad, etc.) all work well and have a good quality look and feel. The battery life is amazingly improved. I'm getting at least twice the time compared to my previous HP Pavillion "Intel core-duo" machine with the same capacity battery! The benchmark websites may give quantified comparisons if they test this machine. It has a USB 3.0 port which is a must for the future - don't buy any computer that lacks it from now on. The 320GB HDD may seem a bit small but the faster 7200 spin is more that worth the trade-off. Outboard storage is cheap, compact, and really fast now that USB 3.0 is here, so if you need to carry around more than fits easily on the internal HDD, just get a slim little USB3.0 Terabyte external. Gotta have one anyway for backup!

The HP QuickWeb app that allows quick, pre-boot internet access is handy, although it does not come up as fast as a tablet device running iOS or Android and it's not like a regular web browser. About the best you can say for it is that it saves a minute waiting for a full boot of Win7. The HP fingerprint reader doesn't work consistently for me so far. I haven't tried the face recognition software yet, and I may not. It would be a pain to be locked out of my own PC because it wouldn't recongnize my fingerprint or face

Cool HP probook 4430s
Jan 23, 2016 11:06 AM 4104 Views

It’s always hard to be a business laptop. Unlike their counterparts on either end of the cost-value spectrum, business laptops usually have to navigate an uneasy balance between cost and features. After all, users might expect lower specs from a 10.1-inch netbook or extra weight on a 17-inch desktop replacement, but when a laptop falls right in between, users can be difficult to please it can’t be too heavy or have low specs or short battery life

For consumers, laptops such as the HP ProBook 4430s are a perfect example of this dilemma  the ProBook 4430s has its sights set towards budget-conscious business users who don’t want to be shortchanged on features or aesthetics.

Visually, the ProBook 4430s is fairly minimalistic. Like the rest of HP’s ProBook line, the 4430s features brushed aluminum on the keyboard and most of the display. The combination of greys and black throughout the ProBook 4430s’ chassis gives it a sharp, if unassuming appearance.

Besides lending the ProBook 4430s aesthetic appeal, the metal keyboard deck also provides extra durability. The brushed aluminum easily resists smudges or fingerprints and is surprisingly dense. Even after applying moderate pressure to the keyboard’s palm rests, the ProBook 4430s’ body provided little give.

Beyond this,  there some issues with the ProBook 4430s’ build quality. It’s solidly constructed and aesthetically pleasing, but for obvious reasons, we’d avoid having the laptop take too big of a drop.

HP for heavy problem
Jan 22, 2016 08:11 PM 4204 Views (via Android App)

I owe hp probook 4430s but am very much disappointed with the product.

Its been just 9 months and the laptop is worse. It has a heavy problem of heating. When I dont connect battery and use it, it runs as normal but excess use with battery attached leads to heating of battery and eventually your system shuts down after some time.

It has a high config but nothings stands as its config. The config is just for name sake.

I am an IT professional so I am not happy with this product. Neither I use it roughly and I use it only for my office work and not for my personal use.

Very disappointed and would never recommend anyone to buy it.
